As he will battle Byron in few days he needs to train his pokemon, from what he has heard till now, Byron is the strongest gym leader in the whole Sinnoh, he has a verity of pokemons and he uses them according to the level of his opponents.

He has also heard that Byron is very aggressive during his battle and won't show mercy to his opponents, at first he thought of using Gabite, Victini, and Riolu for this one but he decided to make some changes in the strategy, for this battle Julian decided to use Riolu and Gliscor, As both Gliscor and Riolu being very effective against steel types. ​​

This will also be Gliscor and Riolu's first gym battle so Julian decided to train both of them a little more before he challenges Byron.

He left the hotel and went back to the abandoned mine for one last training session, Riolu has already learned how to use her war hammer made from her aura, even though she is not perfect, she will be able to battle opponents much stronger than her from all the training she has gone through while being supervised by Julian and sometimes by Infernape who teaches her some martial arts he learned from Julian.
