After looking at Byron's pokemon Julian knew his pokemon need a little more physical power to take down his opponent, the pokemons he may use to battle Byron are Riolu, Gabite, and Victini, Riolu being the fighting type should be able to connect some powerful physical attacks while Victini being the fire special attacker and Gabite being the all-rounder.

He got out of the hotel and visited an abandoned mine so that he could train his pokemon, once he arrived there, he called out his pokemons and they started doing their usual training session. ​​

Julian focused on Riolu and Victini as they need more training right now, Gabite has improved significantly after evolving, being a Pseudo Legendary really had its advantages, his body now could control his dragon energy more efficiently, first he was having a hard time perfecting his dragon side as its a chaotic power of this world.

Dragon-type pokemons are always known as the most dominant typing even though they do have their weaknesses, but still, Dragon-type is also the most adaptive type as well, they can learn many type of moves proving their versatility.

While Gabite trained with others Julian trained Riolu and Victini, Riolu still has some work to do as she perfects her Physical Attack, her control over her aura is good and Julian doesn't need to work on that, he didn't want to strain her small body into mastering such a force, he is waiting for her to evolve so he can guide her on it.

As for Victini, he made it train in controlling its firepower, its control over its Psychic energy is way better than its Fire as Psychic is its primary typing.

He wants Victini to be able to fully control its fire type moves so that it can unlock its signature move, V-Create.

It's still far from using that move, Victini has tried to use that move but would always end in exhaustion, it would get exhausted and not be able to train for hours.

Julian realized that V-Create takes away a lot of its energy and it could still not perform it, he knew Victini has to grow a lot stronger if it wants to use the move.

The training started and both Riolu and Victini are working hard, they trained and battled with each other while Julian looked over them.

Victini did win every bout they had between them but Riolu didn't give up, she would get up and challenge Victini again, Julian then stopped them and started to train Riolu alone, Victini did better than he expected so he let it get trained by Infernape while he looks after Riolu.

Since they are battling a steel type gym only hard-hitting attacks would be able to cause damage so Julian decided to train Riolu is controlling her aura in such a way that she can create her own weapon shape from it, for now, she only knows how to make a baton from the aura, he thought of teaching her how to make real-life weapons from it, like war hammers, they are the best way to damage some heavy physical defense pokemon.

At first, Riolu was having a hard time understanding on how to make a hammer-like shape but she soon got used to it and was able to make a hammer but it was still not close to what Julian had visioned, after hours of training Riolu was finally able to make a war hammer from her aura.

As she was successful Julian started to teach her how to use a war hammer properly in a fight, due too war hammer being a huge weapon its momentum is slow but that won't affect Riolu as it's her own aura, it's weightless to her.

At first, she is very sloppy, a pokemon using a weapon like a human was very funny, even though the weapon was weightless she still had a hard time handling it, after training for so long, she is able to learn the smile attacks like the spin and uppercuts properly.

She still had a lot to do, Julian found a new way for training Riolu as well, he is a weapon specialist but he was never able to use it or teach his pokemon, he could teach them martial arts like Infernape but never weapon handling as they cannot convert their energy into a physical form but with Riolu things seems different.

She can turn her aura into a physical object and turn it into any type of weapon she wants and use them if Julian is able to pass down his weapon technique to Riolu she would be a force to reckon with.

But for now, he focuses on teaching her how to use a war hammer properly.

The day came to an end and he returned back to his hotel.

The same thing went for 3 days, Julian would come to this abandoned mining field and train his pokemon, Riolu will train in the art of weaponry as Julian teaches her everything he knows.

His other pokemon also got interested in this because this was a completely new way of training they had seen but unlucky for them they couldn't train in it properly.

Riolu kept on improving slowly, she still has a lot to learn but she is ready for the battle.

As the final day of training ended both Victini and Riolu are ready for this battle.
