Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 349

He didn't have to wait for long because Crasher Wake walked in with big strides, he is a huge man with very wide shoulders and he is wearing a weird outfit.
He has a weird-looking thing over his face, Julian couldn't just explain how it looked, he is wearing blue and black trouser with yellow boots and belt.
Wake "So you are the challenger huh?"
Crasher Wake stood over his spot and looked at Julian, he has not had a challenger for several days now, the last time he battled against a kid who used fire and ground type pokemon against him and finally won on his third try.
Crasher didn't understand what the kid wanted but he still defeated him at last.
Julian "Yes, and let's get this done with"
Julian said.
Wake "Cocky aren't ya, I will show you why they call me Crasher Wake"
Wake said and clapped his hand, soon the same woman that was at the reception walked in wearing a referee uniform.
She then started to explain the rules of this battle, it is the same as every other gym with three pokemon in use while only the challenger is allowed to switch the pokemon during the battle.
Julian agreed with the rules, he wanted to get this over quickly so he can plan to move back to the west of Sinnoh.
He decided to finish this fast.
Referee "You both may choose your pokemons"
The referee made her call, with that Wake sent out his first pokemon Quagsire, as Julian had expected Wake sent his Quagsire as his first pokemon, Julian tossed his Pokeball and sent out Gabite as his first pokemon.
Since he plans to finish this quickly he doesn't have to play around, he could use Luxio but Quagsire is immune to electric type attacks so he would be wasting a lot of time and he wants to finish off his opponent quickly.

Referee "Are both trainers ready?"
She asks to which both of them nod their heads.
Referee "Then, let the battle begin"
With the wave of her hand, the referee starts the battle.
Wake doesn't waste time and makes the first move.
Wake "Use Ice Beam"
Julian "Counter with Flamethrower"
As Quagsire used Ice Beam Gabite answered with a powerful Flamethrower which easily destroyed the Ice Beam and hit Quagsire afterward, the Flamethrower engulfed Quagsire but it didn't cause much damage due to its superb resistance against fire type moves.
Julian "Now Dual Chop"
As Julian gave the command Gabite dove into the water and jet through it like a shark he is, he moved so fast that Wake didn't get the chance to call out a move, Gabite shot out of the water and landed two powerful Dual Chops right on top of Quagsire's head, Quagsire's head went numb and went on its butt as it sat down confused.
Julian "Now Iron Tail"
Gabite made a fast turn and gave a roundhouse tail swing using Iron Tail and sent Quagsire flying out of the battlefield right behind Crasher Wake.
Crasher Wake is surprised by seeing this, he didn't expect his Quagsire to just fall in two moves but he realized that the Gabite is way more powerful than his whole team, he knew even his Floatzel cannot take those hits.
Wake "I won't give up so easily, go Gyarados"
Wake called his Quagsire back to its Pokeball and sent out his tank Gyarados, his Gyarados is the tank of his team, he trained it to withstand even powerful electric type attacks, his Gyarados can take four to five powerful electric attacks before fainting but between that time his Gyarados would have already finished its opponent with its powerful attacks.
Julian "Gabite return"

Julian called back Gabite and took out his next Pokeball and tossed it up in the air, out came Luxio and stood on one of the small platforms and looked at the giant in front of him.
Wake "I see, you want to use a type advantage now but it won't work on my Gyarados"
Wake said and laughed
Julian "Luxio, Thunder, full power"
Whit Julian's command Luxio went all out with this attack, suddenly the whole battlefield was filled with static currents causing hairs to stand up.
Dark clouds formed on the roof as electricity started to bulk up inside it, it clapped caused a thunderous sound.
Seeing this Wake realized that things are about to go bad.
Wake "Gyarados quick use Hydro Pump"
Wake gave the instruction but it was too late, the lightning bolt descended down and engulfed Gyarados, Gyarados felt electricity running through its body as it tried to resist the pain and stay conscious but it overestimated itself, after a second it came crashing down and splashed on the water sending it everywhere.
It was over in one powerful move, Gyarados is knocked out cold.
Referee "Gyarados is unable to battle, Luxio wins"
The referee gave her announcement stating Luxio's win, Wake was shaken by this, he had never seen a thunder this powerful inside a building.
Due to limited space, Thunder cannot be used to its full extent, the bigger the thunder cloud the stronger the lightning bolt.
Wake frowned and looked at Julian's Luxio, it is breathing lightly, meaning he used a significant amount of power behind that attack.
Wake didn't say much and called back his Gyarados to send out his final Pokemon.
Wake "Floatzel let's go"
He sent out his ace, Floatzel.
Wake "This time I won't go down so easily"
Wake said and looked determined to take out Julian's Luxio.

Earth's First Dungeon
Reginald Montgomery was a high class Rules Lawyer, specializing in the 'art' of Min-Maxing a Character. He had been the secret behind the ability of the Guild 'Eternal Gamer' being able to obtain the World First Clears of various MMOs for the last five years. The political entities of the world had hidden the imminent approach of a gigantic meteor, of similar size to the one that theoretically wiped out the dinosaurs, until it was able to be spotted by high powered astronomical telescopes. The United Nations sends nukes into a crater located deep on the meteor, breaking it into millions of smaller fragments, except for around two areas, where there was a building that looked like an old school Roman temple and one where there was a giant metallic cube. The cube crashed into Reginald's backyard, and his 'gamer' senses were itching at the chance of supremely valuable loot. Upon investigating, he is injected with a control crystal for a 'Construction Core', but when it releases an extremely high density of pressurized mana, his body seizes up and the Core draws his mind into it before merging the control crystal back into the Core and retreating into the Cube and digging itself deeper. Two months later, Reginald becomes aware again, only to find out that nothing is as it was and he is now the Earth's First Dungeon...
