Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 326

Julian got out of the hotel but he was joined by the hotel manager, he wanted to personally send-off Julian, they gave him some flowers and things that will be useful for traveling.
After saying his good by to the over-friendly manager of the hotel Julian left Veilstone city, his next destination is Lake Valor which falls directly on the route to Pastoria City, where he will have his next gym battle.
After getting out of the city he had to travel over a bumpy road then followed by caves, this area is known for Gligar and Gliscor sightings, even though Julian thought of catching one before but now his team already consist of eight pokemon.
Crystal, Manaphy, Gible, Cranidos, Victini, Luxio, Togetic, Riolu, these eight have nearly covered his team and if he decides to catch a tank such as Gliscor, it has to be a special one.
On his way, he did see some Gligar and Gliscor but they didn't grab his attention, some of them had good potential but Julian hesitated to catch them.
Julian already feels his team is full and he doesn't want any extra and if he does adds a ninth member he wants a powerful tank, Gliscor can be one but he needs one with a high defense stat with the sacrifice of Special Attack, some pokemon are like that, if one of their stat is extremely high compared to their own kind, they will be lacking in other stat.
So finding this specific Gliscor will be very hard for Julian, but if he finds one he will be in luck, as he rides forward he has to come to a stop because it seems there is construction being done on the bumpy road.
Julian saw a worker nearby carrying a bunch of stones in a carrier.

Julian "Excuse me, how long will this construction take
Worker "We are sorry but the road is blocked off, we are applying tar on top of these bums, you have to take the caves if you want to go to the other side, we should be done within two days, if you don't want to go through the caves then you have to wait"
The worker said to Julian.
Julian "I will take the caves then"
Julian said and rode off, there is a cave that leads to other side but it is infested with Zubats and other bat type pokemons, mostly Zubats and they have the tendency to attack anyone if one doesn't have a strong pokemon they would be severely injured.
Luckily these Zubats are weak and won't cause much damage if they are alone, and in a group, they can take down a high-level pokemon trained by a gym leader, so whoever decides to take the caves have very strong pokemons.
Worker "Are you sure mister, the cave is infested with Zubats and even if you are lucky and get away from them, some trainers who entered the cave and went past through the Zubats said that they were defeated by a very powerful Gliscor, you should be careful.
Julian 'A powerful Gliscor, maybe I should check this one out'
Julian thought and nodded at the worker and rode off towards the cave entrance, once he reached there he had to get off his bike as the cave is not suitable for riding his bike, he puts it in his dimension pouch and walks in.
After getting a little far into the cave he is already greeted by a hoard of Zubats but they just flee away scared after seeing the two red crimson eyes in the dark.

These Zubats are very weak, a starter pokemon given to young trainers can take two of them out in one go.
With Gengar's presence, they didn't dare come near Julian since the Zubats problem is resolved just by Gengar's presence.
Julian soon made his way to the end of the cave.
Julian 'Looks like that rumor about a powerful Gliscor was just fake'
He thought and was about to get out when he felt a drift of wind entering through the exit of the cave, the wind is actually very strong.
Suddenly he saw a pokemon gliding using this drift of air into the cave.
Seeing this Gliscor Julian is surprised, it is a shiny Gliscor, it has a light blue exoskeleton over its body, with yellow accent on its stomach and inner ears, Gliscors are a mixture of a scorpion and a bat, hence the hard and powerful exoskeleton to protect it from dangerous enemies.
Julian 'So the rumors are true, the Gliscor is not that strong, I think the trainer who passed here had their pokemon pretty exhausted taking care of all those Zubats, this Gilscor is just fooling around here'
He thought and looked at the Gliscor carefully and asked the system to tell how is this Gliscor, and to his surprise he is lucky.
This Gliscor is the one he has been searching for, a high defensive tank with a very low special attack, his attack stat is above average for his level.
Julian 'Looks like my luck is going very well, now let's catch this one, he is not fully developed so I have some room to temper him and make him stronger'
Julian thought and took out a Pokeball and tossed it up in the air.
Julian "Let's go Manaphy".

What defines endgame content? Is it raiding epic dungeons to take down the strongest bosses there are, or is it facing off against other players to climb the ladder and become the top PvPer? Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human.
