"You merely want to use me only to dump me again...,"

"Should I kiss you in the presence of everyone to show that I am serious or should I strip you here and declare you as mine for the entire universe to see?" Evelyn asked as she stare into his eyes.

"Ok, I will believe you this once but no teasing here. I might end up groaning loudly forgetting where we are so let's wait until after the party," Steve quickly grabbed her hand which was now in his most sensitive spot. He was afraid he might lose it if she goes further.

"But I want you now?" Evelyn insisted as she leaned on his shoulder.

Jasmine whose gaze was now on them smiled when she saw how Evelyn's hand was rubbing Steve's chest.

I never knew Steve was a playboy. With this overbearing lady with him tonight I am sure he will be in serious trouble.

She shifted her gaze back to Jackson when she realised that he was almost at the end of his speech.

"Happy Birthday mum," Jackson concluded as he smiled at his mother sitting at the front table.

Jackson climbing down from the stage greeted some of the important guests whom he couldn't greet as a result of their late arrival at the party. After he was done exchanging pleasantries with them, he slowly walked back to his table.

Seeing Jackson approach their table Jasmine quickly stand up to welcome him.

"You look good up there. The speech sounded better with you saying it than it would have sounded if I said it," Jasmine complimented smiling broadly at him. Jasmine was too focused talking to Jackson to see the lady coming in her direction. The next thing she felt was a cold liquid on her skin.

"Sorry, I tripped over my legs," Jasmine heard a lady's apologetic words. Jasmine frowned when she saw the person who spill wine on her.

"Can't you watch where you are going and also why did it have to be when you got close to her that you tripped?" Jackson asked angrily. His happy expression quickly turned to an angry one.

"It was a mistake but why do you make it sound like I did it on purpose?" Jane asked faking a wronged expression.

"Yeah, Jane is right. Anyone can trip over anywhere. Nobody decides where he or she will trip over so why are you blaming her even though she had apologised," Rose who seems to have been waiting for this moment jumped into the conversation.

"Ice Prince, this is your party so there is no need to cause a scene because of this trivia thing," Jasmine intervene when she saw that other guests has begun staring at them because of the noise the ladies were making.

"But she did it deliberately," Jackson said not willing to let the matter slide like that.

"It doesn't matter," Jasmine said to the shock of the onlookers. The Jasmine Avans they knew was a devil and the devil doesn't forgive easily so what was wrong with her.

"My dress is black. It just has a few shades of white colours so the stain isn't visible so there is no need to scold them," Jasmine said to the shock of the now standing Catherine.

Catherine thought as she approached the scene of commotion with a glass of red wine in her hands.

"See, she even knows that mistake happens. I wonder why you are scolding Jane because of her mistake," Rose said to the annoyance of Jasmine who previously wanted to let the matter slide.

They didn't only plan and ruin my dress but they dare to take pride in it? If there think that Jasmine can be easily bullied then they are very wrong.

Jasmine thought with gritted teeth as she stare at the still angry Jackson.

"Jasmine, are you ok?" Catherine asked when she reached where they stood. An evil plan pops into Jasmine's head when she turned and saw the glass of wine in Catherine's hands.

"I am fine but can you lend me your glass, I crave a drink at this moment. I need to calm myself down," Jasmine said as she forced a smile on.

"Why not?" Catherine asked as she handed the glass of wine to Jasmine not knowing that her best friend was up to something else.

"Let's go clean the stain off," Jasmine said as she held onto Catherine's hand. Unluckily for Jane who thought she had won her first battle she and her friend were standing in the direction of the restroom. Jasmine smirked devilishly when she got closer to where Jane was standing.

"Push me now," Jasmine said inaudibly as she hold onto her hand.

"What?" Catherine who was oblivious of what her best friend was up to ask in confusion.

"Stop asking questions and just do it now," Jasmine ordered with gritted teeth. Curious to know what her naughty best friend was up to Catherine gave a slight push to Jasmine.

"Oops... my bad," Jasmine who just spilt the red wine on Jane's green dress remarked as she covered her mouth with her left hand.

"Wow... this is epic. I was thinking why she was so forgiving and here she has shown me that she is still the same Jasmine Avans I know," Catherine mumbled to herself as she tried to suppress the laughter which was threatening to burst out.

"Sister-in-law has done it again, this is amazing," Jeff said smiling. He felt like giving Jasmine a thumbs up for such amazing acting.

Jackson standing just an arms reach away from her was too shocked to speak.

Knowing that something interesting will happen after what Jasmine did, Evelyn instantly stood up and went to join them.

"Look at how clumsy I have become. I have stained someone's dress because of my clumsiness," Jasmine said faking a pained expression.

"How dare you deliberately spill the wine on her?" the angry Rose said as she raised her hand to slap Jasmine.
