"Would you act as possessive as you said if any lady was to go close to Kai?" Jackson quickly diverted her attention from the previous topic.

"I don't know. This relationship was arranged, although I think he is a cool guy that doesn't mean that I have feelings or attachment to him. I believe that jealousy and heartbreak only come in if there is expectations, attachment or love. I believe anyone who doesn't possess this quality towards his or her partner will not get jealous or hurt in the course of the relationship no matter the outcome," Jasmine said in a serious tone.

"Have you ever possess these three characteristics you mentioned towards any man in the past?" Jackson who is naturally an opportunist when it comes to matters related to Jasmine seized the opportunity to ask a very important question.

"Hmmm....," Jasmine hesitated contemplating whether or not to reply to his question.

"Yes, and thinking back now I realised that was the most foolish thing I have ever done," Jasmine said as she quickly avoided his stares.

"What happened? Did any jerk break your heart?" Jackson asked. His eyes could not hide his curiosity.

"Break my heart?" Jasmine scoffed frowning.

"Breaking my heart is an understatement. That ungrateful idiot wrecked my life and belief. The reason I hate men especially the unfaithful ones is all because of him," Jasmine finally revealed the truth she has been trying for so long to hide.

I knew there was more than what the eyes meet. So the so-called demoness had a moment she was sad in her life. Because she always maintains her smile, I guess no one would be able to guess that her life wasn't as blissful as they thought.

Jackson thought his gaze centred on the side cheek of her face.

"Didn't you say on the vacation that you have never experienced what heartbreak means and what exactly did he do to make you despise us so much? Since he is the one who messed up, isn't it unfair to other men out there if you punish us for his mistakes?" Jackson asked in a gentle tone.

"I don't want to talk about the past. I hate recalling that miserable part of my life....,"

"Will there ever come a time you will be able to share this memory of yours with someone and if yes, who will it be?" Jackson who can see that she really did not want to talk about the incident changed the topic.

"Why are you overly curious about me today? What is your aim in wanting to know so much about me?" Jasmine asked suspiciously. The way she stares at Jackson felt like she assumed that Jackson was hiding something from her.

"Don't try to change the topic, just answer my question," Jackson said firmly not falling for her tricks.

"Yes, there will come a time where I will share the foolish aspect of my life to someone but to whom it will be, I don't know. The lucky guy who will hear my tragic story might be the one who can resurrect my dead and decayed heart. I am sure the person capable of performing such a miracle has not been given birth to yet," Jasmine said with so much confidence.

"Does your heart still hurt when you think about him....,"

"I will go check up on Steve and the seductress. I am afraid she might eat up my innocent Steve if I don't go to his rescue," Jasmine said as she stood up and headed towards the stairs. Jackson stares at her until she went out of sight.

"For my men not to have been able to get information on the incident, I guess her old man pulled a lot of strings to make sure that the news was never published. Although because of this I couldn't get information about the incident of Jasmine's heartbreak, I can't help but admit that the old man did a good thing in covering up the incidents. He was able to protect his second daughter from the people's gossips and criticism," Jackson mumbled as he shifted his gaze to his injured hand.

The incident that happened outside the club replayed in his memory. He shrugged his shoulders at the thought of what might have happened to his beloved Jasmine if he was just a minute late.

"Even though I got injured, I am still very happy that I was able to save her. Exchanging my hands for her safety is worth it no matter what anyone might think," Jackson thought aloud as he beamed to himself. Remembering how Jasmine scolded him for blocking the dagger with his hands made his smile broaden.

On the fifth floor, Jasmine who has been to Steve mansion more than twice and was pretty familiar with the layout of his mansion turned to her right-hand side on reaching the fifth floor. She knocked twice on the door and waited for a response but the response never came. She became worried when they still didn't answer on her third knock.

"I wonder what must be wrong with Steve," Jasmine muttered as she carelessly turned the handle of the door. She was surprised when she realised that the door was opened.

"I wonder why he didn't lock his door like he normally did whenever he is inside his room," Jasmine thought aloud as she slowly opened the door and slipped in.

"Steve where are you? Are you alright?" Jasmine repeated the same words as she went about searching his room. The moment she turned the knob of his bedroom door to peep whether he was in there, the scene she met left her dumbfounded.

"Wow! She sure moves very fast," Jasmine said as she stares at the nude lady who was riding on top of Steve with great fervour. The way she groaned so erotically made Jasmine covered her ears.
