"Stop playing dumb. I am talking about the lady you said you love. It has been three months since I started teaching you how to be a proper gentleman and an ideal boyfriend but I have never seen her with you. I don't even know what she looks like. I have been curious to see the lady who can capture the heart of the iciest Ice Prince I have known?" Jasmine said not staring away. Jeff could vouch that the two of them had forgotten that they were there.

"Why are you so eager to know her identity? Don't tell me you are jealous of her?" Jackson asked not holding back. He vowed to hug her if she admits that she was jealous of his imaginary girlfriend she has been referring to.

"Is it perhaps a one-sided love?" Jasmine asked not answering his question.

"You...," Speechless Jackson said as he pointed his index finger at her.

"I can see it is really an unrequited love," Jasmine said smiling devilishly.

"Jackson, do you have the intention to kiss her?" A lady's cold voice disrupted their sweet conversation.

Damn! The fierce lady is here?

Jackson thought but he did not pull away from her until Jasmine did.

Jasmine turned to stare at the two smiling guys whose gaze was centred on her best friend who just arrived. She could vouch that all they could see at that moment was the lady in black shiny leather trousers putting on a golden glittering long sleeve shirt in which the breast area was slightly opened.

"Stop drooling or you both will get your eyes gouged out," Jasmine teased. She did not understand why Catherine did not spare the guys a glance despite that the two of them were staring at her keenly.

Jeff quickly turned and face Jackson and Jasmine sitting on the opposite couch when he realized that he was making his feelings so obvious.

"Jasmine, stop teasing us. We were only staring at her but not ogling," Jeff said.

"Ok, I won't tease you guys anymore since doing that is a waste of time but before that, you both have to answer my question," Jasmine said with a tone that says she won't take no for an answer.

Catherine who was not aware of what they were saying sat down beside Jeff.

"Are you both happy now that the one you wanted to see the most is here?" Jasmine asked in a playful tone.

"Of course we are," Jeff blurted out. Before he realized what he just said it was too late. his bluntness made Jasmine's eyes widened in shock. Catherine sitting beside him turned and stare at him for explanations.

"I mean it has been three months since we last saw her so wouldn't it have been weird if we are not happy to see a lady we consider a friend? Although the feelings might not be mutual, I am still glad she came," Jeff said honestly. Although he talks a lot everyone there could tell that there was no iota of lies in what he said.

"Cat, he just said the feeling is not mutual so does that mean you are not happy to see them?" Jasmine asked as she shifted her gaze to her best friend whom she thought was unusually quiet.

"I know you are fierce, no doubts but I don't think treating them like this when they are this excited is right. I mean you did not only make Jeff your bed but you also kissed him. Even I who is heartless has never mistreated a guy I have intimacy with, take my case with Jackson. Although we kissed one time I have never ignored him so I think you should be more gentle with Jeff. He is not like the both of us who don't possess a heart, " Jasmine said in a bid to tease Catherine who is always cold.

"We are best friends so I take after you," Catherine said with an indifferent expression. She did not even wait for anyone to talk before she grabbed a bottle of wine and open it. she poured the wine into one of the glasses and gulped down the entire content in a mouthful.

Everyone on the table just stares at her uttering no words.

"Cat, why are you in such a hurry to get drunk don't tell me you are planning on stripping him after getting fully intoxicated....,"

"Jasmine!" Catherine said as she threw her smiling best friend a fierce glance

"Ok, I won't tease you anymore. You can get drunk however you want but you are not allowed to lecture me tonight. I will drink however I want and also do whatever I want without any interference from you," Jasmine said before she picked a clean wine glass and poured the whiskey into it.

"I am not agreeing to that," Catherine declined vehemently.

"At any moment from now, I might be dragged by my father to register my marriage with Kai. Being a married woman sucks since I will be nagged every day by my mother-in-law on how to be a decent lady. I don't know when I will have the luxury to come to the club after I become a married woman that is why I am gonna go crazy tonight and you or anyone else here is not gonna stop me," Jasmine said in a serious tone. She drank the content of the wine glass in one go.

Everyone kept quiet after Jasmine poured out her heart. Honestly, all of them was worried about the marriage issue. Mr Avans is a strict man, a man who doesn't go back on his words. They all knew that talking to him about cancelling the marriage was useless.

Since he officially announced the engagement and the upcoming marriage between Jasmine and Kai, Jasmine had talked to him several times to call off the wedding. There were even occasions she threatened him but her father who was determined to get her married off did not fret.
