"Know that you can't fool me and for yesterday's event, I am gonna make sure the three of you pays for it," Jasmine threatened fiercely.

"Well, Jasmine I wasn't busy like I said. JK, Steve and I drank a lot of alcohol the night we came back from the business trip. We drank until the three of us passed out. We only woke up late in the afternoon. When we woke up, Steve and I were very ill, we didn't go anywhere close to our phones. JK was busy taking care of us so he too was preoccupied. He had to leave when he got a call that his mum was ill. I believed he spent the night there to take care of his mum," Jeff narrated in a calm tone.

"Jeff, how come what you told me is different from what my men told me? And did you say Ice Prince took care of you and Steve throughout the day?" Jasmine asked sternly.

"If he was with you then who was the Ice Prince at his company yesterday? His ghost, twin brother or do you want to tell me that he can divide himself into two?" Jasmine asked in a fierce tone.

Jeff turned to stare at his executive assistant sitting beside him when he realised that Jasmine has seen through his plans.

"Jeff, do you think I am stupid that is why you think you can blatantly lie to me?" Jasmine asked in anger.

"The rest of my story might have been made up but the truth is JK went to his family's main mansion because he received a call that his mum was ill. His mum is the only person he has that is why he abandoned everything he was doing and rush home. He sent me a message about fifteen minutes ago to inform me that he was on his way home. If you need to see him urgently then you have to go to his mansion because he is not gonna be in the office today," Jeff finally spoke the truth. He nervously waited for his punishments.

"Did I say I want to hear the story about his family and why do you say his mum is the only person he has? Doesn't he have the naughty you and Steve so why do you have to make him sound pitiful?" Jasmine asked sternly.

"He is pitiful...,"

"He might look pitiful to you but not to me so keep whatever you want to say to yourself," Jasmine interrupted in an indifferent tone.

"Jasmine, why do you sound so different today? Are you still angry because of what your sister did and say yesterday or did someone perhaps annoy you this early morning?" Jeff asked curiously.

"I am not only angry with her but with the three of you. You all kept on ruining my plans. It is because of the three of you that my sister had the guts to belittle me. I won't forgive any of you easily," Jasmine said before she disconnected the call.

"Jasmine sounded very furious, I wonder what her sister said to get her so riled up. If she is gonna meet JK looking and sounding very angry, I am afraid that they might get into a big fight so I better call JK and give him a heads up about Jasmine's temper," Jeff said as he quickly dialled someone's line.

"Jasmine, no matter how furious you are you have to calm down right now. This is the state she wants to see you that is why you can't let her win. You are going to his home and you can't achieve anything by being angry. This is the last chance you have got. You are not doing this because of your pride or because of your bet with Lizzy but you are doing this because of over a hundred employees of J& S Innovation Company who have families to cater for. They are solely looking up to you so you must not fail them," Jasmine said as she closed her eyes and exhaled deeply.

After she was calm, she opens her eyes and ignited the engine, she drove away with smiles on her face.

When Jasmine reached the magnificent mansion of the CEO of Smith's International, the huge automatic gate opened. Jasmine was too eager to meet Jackson to think about why the automatic gate opened when that was her first time there.

Although she was in a not so pleasant mood, she took her time to enjoy the beautiful scenery of his magnificent mansion which was vast.

"So the rumours that the mansion of the Young Master of Smith's International was more beautiful and larger than a palace was true. I wonder how visitors who don't have cars get to his real mansion with this long-distance?" Jasmine mumbled to herself as she continued driving.

When she finally reached the white magnificent glass building, all his maids warmly welcomed her. She did not even see anything wrong in the way they welcomed her like she was the new madam of the house.

After being told by one of the maids that Jackson was in the gym, Jasmine waited in the sitting room for him. She declined everything the maids offered her. She waited for a long time but Jackson was nowhere to be seen.

"What kind of morning exercise take hours? Is he perhaps doing this on purpose," Jasmine thought aloud as she stares at the maid standing some distance away.

"Hey, when is your boss gonna be through with his exercise? Are you sure you told him that Jasmine Avans is waiting for him?" The impatient Jasmine asked when it has been over two hours since she arrived.

"Young Miss, you can call me Lilian and I told my boss about your presence but he said he was busy at the moment and that you should wait. I believe that he will be here soon," Lilian said in a well-composed manner.

"He is busy? For how many hours is he gonna make me wait? Doesn't he know that it is very impolite of him to treat his guest like this?" Jasmine voiced out her displeasure.

"Young Miss, my boss is not usually like this so I ask that you continue to be patient. I am certain he is on his way here," Lilian said meekly.

"From your words, it means that your boss treats his other guests nicely while he treats me impolitely. Do you expect me to remain calm after learning that your boss is deliberately picking on me?" Jasmine asked. Lilian who was particularly ordered by his boss to make sure that Jasmine doesn't leave the mansion was lost at what to say to calm the angry lady down.

"Boss!" Lilian remarked in relief on sight Jackson.

Thank goodness he is here. I am saved at last.

Lilian thought as she walked out of the room.

"Hey, why did you ignore me? You kept me waiting for over two hours, what explanations do you have to give for standing me up? Did you think I wouldn't dare to leave because of my feelings for you?" Jasmine asked as she stood up and went to meet him.

Ahe was too vexed to admire his well-toned abs and his perfect upper body. The sweat which covered his body was evidence of the rigorous exercise he did. With the sweat dripping down his body, he looked so sexy and tempting.

Jasmine who was in love with abs would have momentarily got seduced if she wasn't so furious with him.

"You only told us that your name was Jasmine. You never mentioned that your surname was Avans so how did you expect me to know that you and Jasmine Avans were the same people?" Jackson asked with an indifferent expression.

"And I was really busy so why do you want to make it sound like I was bullying you?" Jackson added.

"Isn't it true that you bullied me? Isn't that exactly what you did?" Jasmine asked with gritted teeth.

"Young Miss Avans, as you can see I am covered in sweat from head to toe. I am in dire need of a cold bathe so you will need to come back some other day. I have a meeting in fifteen minutes if you may know," Jackson said as he turned to leave.

"Do you think I would have waited for over two hours for you if the issue could be resolved some other day and why the sudden formalities like we are strangers?" Jasmine quickly turned around and obstruct his path.

She will not let him escape from her clutches so easily as long as he is still with her contract.

"Young Miss Avans, don't be so difficult, leave my path so I can go get ready for my meeting?" Jackson said. For some reason, he really enjoyed the way they were arguing. He finds her angry expression cute, unlike other men who find the Great Seducer's angry side terrifying.

"Damn that Young Miss Avans title! It makes it sound like we are strangers so just call me Jasmine," Jasmine said as she raises her gaze and stares at his face which the sweat has started to dry off. His slightly wet hair added more charms to his already perfect face.
