"Get cold? The weather is so hot so tell me how I will catch a cold. Instead of using cold as an excuse to make me change, you use have said that you don't like what I am putting on like you have always said," Jasmine said as she arranged her hair.

"Would you have changed it if I had said so?" Catherine asked as she watched Jasmine put on her black boots.

"No...,"

"You see...,-"

"Cat, stop wasting my time. I will surely get mad at you if I miss him," Jasmine said as she hurriedly opened the door.

"Who are you so delighted to meet?" Catherine asked as she abandoned playing with her phone.

"Look through the window, you will understand," Jasmine said before she dashed out of the room.

Who could she have seen that made my friend looks so impatient and excited. Anyone capable of making her act this way must be a god.

The curious Catherine thought as she stood up and approach the windows.

"For the Ice Prince to have made the Almighty Jasmine Avans act like this, I admit he has some potential. I wonder if he is the one who will heal her wounds or make them worst. Whether the latter or former is correct, I will make sure I protect her from him before such a thing happens. I can't take any risk when it comes to Jasmine's heart," Catherine as she shifts her gaze to the beach.

"Although getting the contract is important, my best friend is the most important to me," Catherine staring at the blue sea said said as she tried to get rid of the distracting thoughts.

About three minutes later she saw Jasmine running on the beach towards Jackson.

"Why the hell is she running? She is gonna get hurt if she continues running," Catherine said as she stares down at Jasmine with a worried look. She regretted not going with her so she would be able to caution her.

The moment she got close to Jackson she missed a foot. Not wanting to see herself fall she instantly closed her eyes. The oblivious Jackson turned around just in time to see a lady struggling to balance herself. He caught her before her body could touch the sand.

"Are you ok?" Jackson asked without even staring at the person he saved face.

Thank goodness she is safe. I almost had a heart attack earlier.

Catherine thought as she placed her right hand on her racing heart.

"I just knew you would save me," Jasmine who just opened her eyes said smiling at him. She did not even act like someone who almost sustained a bad fall earlier.

Jackson lowered his gaze when he heard the familiar voice he was been yearning to hear. He could not resist smiling at her but his smile vanished just like they came when he realised that she was staring at him.

"Do you know that I was so furious when I did not see you at the airport? I even vouched to rape you if you did not show up," Jasmine blurted out not making any attempt to stand straight.

Huh...rape me? What a cruel punishment she wants to give me?

Jackson thought.

"Are you admitting that you are stalking me?" Jackson asked sternly as he stares at her face. If she didn't hate him so much, he would have kissed her right there to show how happy he was to see her there.

"No, I came here for business and not for you...,"

"Your earlier words showed that you are lying so are you sure....,"

"I was just spewing nonsense. I was actually waiting for someone, not you," Jasmine lied as she raised her hand to touch his face.

"Are they gonna stand in that position all day and what is wrong with that best friend of mine? They haven't even met for close to three minutes and she is already flirting with him," Catherine who could no longer watch them act so shamelessly went back to the couch and continue with what she was previously doing.

"Whoa... I can't believe she actually came just like JK predicted. She is so persistent. I love this side of her more," Jeff standing far away from them said to the hearing of Steve standing beside him.

"I wonder what they are so engrossed talking about that they can't stand properly. Isn't his legs and hands in pain by holding her like that for a long time?" Steve asked his gaze glued on his friend whose entire focus was centred on the woman in his arms.

"What else would Jasmine be doing if not seducing him? And why would he feel pains when she has completely bewitched him? I can't wait to see the fun events that will unfold soon," Jeff said smirking devilishly as he walks towards the direction of Jackson and Jasmine.

"Would you believe it if I said that I have missed you so much? I missed seeing your handsome face and teasing you. I know I sound crazy but that is the truth," Jasmine said as he caressed his face. Her faked affectionate gaze almost deceived Jackson.

"You feel the same way for me right?" Jasmine said as she pulled him closer. For a shameless lady that she was, even a million onlookers wouldn't be able to stop her from doing what she had set her mind on.

Just to test him one more time she brought her face closer until their lips were inches away. No matter how hard Jackson wanted to avoid her tempting lips, he couldn't. He loves her too much to reject her kiss.

"Are you publicly flirting with my best buddy?" Jeff loud voice disrupted them when their lips were just about to meet.

Goddamn it! Why do they always have to interrupt at the most crucial time? I might end up murdering the two of them if they continue jeopardizing my plans like this.

Jasmine thought as she slowly stood properly and unwraps her hands from his neck. She turned and face them afterwards. The way she acted was like they didn't just catch her in the act earlier.
