"Can we talk in private? I mean it is almost time for lunch, can we use the opportunity to hang out?" Mike asked like a gentleman would do. Knowing her real identity he dares not try to use his play boy tricks on her. He knows that he will be the one that will end up regretting it if he dares do something stupid with her.

"As you can see I was busy when you arrived so I can't accompany you for lunch," Jasmine said turning to leave.

"What about....,"

"Don't even ask me whether I am free for dinner because I am fully booked for an entire two weeks. You can book an appointment for another day," Jasimne said as she resumed walking again. The quiet Catherine followed her closely. She dares not try to lecture the boss seeing that she was in a bad mood. Her employees has watched these scene too often to get surprise by this particular one.

What does she mean by she is fully booked for two weeks? Is she really busy or is she indirectly trying to say that she doesn't have interest in me?

Mike thought staring at her departing back.

We haven't even sit down to talk properly and she has already shown lack of interest in me, how is that possible? I admit that she is beautiful and so am I so why is she treating me this way? Even though she does not like me like she wants me to believe, she should have at least shown me some respect since this arrangement was made by the elders.

Mike thought his temper rising.

Whether or not she likes me I have set my mind on her and I will make her mine no matter what. I have tamed fierce women like her in the past and I don't believe that I won't be able to tame her too. I am Mike Williams, the City's number one play boy, I don't believe won't be able to subdue her and make her mine.

Mike thought as he took the same directions Jasmine took. He quicken his pace so he could meet up with her.

"Miss Jasmine," Mike who was still far away from catching up to them shouted after her.

"Catherine, does that guy approaching us not understand human language? Wasn't my words clear enough for an alien to understand so why is he still following me?" Jasmine said ignoring Mike's repeated calls.

"Was I too polite that is why he took my words for granted? Do you think he will let me be if I drop my politeness?" Jasmine asked. Catherine knew that her boss was just asking her questions but did not need her reply. No matter what replies she gave her, Catherine knows that her boss will still choose to do what was on her mind that is why she just kept quiet. She knew very well that speaking up will only make the poor guy suffers more.

Mike who just caught up to her held her right hand before she could walk into the room beside them.

"Let go," Jasmine said coldly. Mike wanting to gain her interest did like she wanted.

"Miss Jasmine, can you spare me a bit of your time...,"

"Can you stop bugging me? I have told you politely that I am preoccupied so why won't you just listen and leave? I have been very polite earlier so why won't you just let it end there?" Jasmine said furiously.

"I have enough problems on my plate without you adding to it so why won't you let me face those problems? Why are you trying to add yours into the list?" Jasmine spoke her mind. Seeing how furious she was Mike regretted still pursuing her despite her warnings.

"If you still continue to hinder my work, believe me I will not only make you suffer but I will also make your entire family pay for it, got it?" Jasmine said as she walks into the room.

Catherine turned and stare at her departing back. Although she feel pity for the poor guy she still could not blame her boss for her actions. With the deadline Mr Avans gave her boss drawing nearer every passing day, she knows that her boss was under a lot of pressure. At her current state of mind any slightest thing makes her upset. Her father's earlier phone call worsened everything. Jasmine's ones happy mood had turned 180 degrees turn when she received a phone call from her father. She could not blame her for the way she acted. Mike was the only guy she has ever pitied, this is because she knows he was forced by his parents to meet Jasmine. He had no choice just like Jasmine.

"Mr Mike, please don't take my boss words to heart. She was already in a very terrible mood when you arrived that is why she said those rude words to you. I am certain she will call you when she is no longer upset, I ask that you exercise a little patient. Don't report what happened here to the elders because it will only ruin your chances of winning her over," Catherine quickly apologised on behalf of her boss.
