Jasmine thought as she stares at his indifferent expression. On hearing Jackson's words, the once disappointed Jeff opened his eyes instantly.

Bravo! So JK was only acting? I almost thought that he had forgotten his plans, this is great!

Jeff thought smiling. He wanted to give Jackson a thumbs up but he dare not do that knowing too well that the smart lady will see through their plans.

Steve whose gaze has always been focused on these two people smiled happily. Jeff could see that even he too was happy that Jackson did not forfeit his plans because of a moment of pleasure.

"What are you saying, my clothes have always been like this since I stepped foot into this room so why are you trying to make me look bad. Steve and you Mr Handsome, do you also think that I adjusted my dress?" Jasmine asked sounding offended.

"Miss Jasmine by mere staring at her is a dignified woman who possesses everything that could drive a man's crazy. She doesn't need to resort to seducing you to get you to her bed, she just needs to say the word and you will have no choice but to obey her so you are very wrong in accusing her," Steve scolded Jackson to the delight of Jasmine.

"Although we have barely met a few minutes ago, I agree with Steve that Miss Jasmine will never do what you accused her of. Also what if what you said is true, what is her motive for wanting to seduce you when this is the first time we have met her?" Jeff said in support of Jasmine.

Jasmine smiled happily when she heard the two guys praising her. Although her smile was brief, the three guys saw it clearly.

"It is clear as crystal that the two of you has fallen head over heels for her so why won't you both support her? You both are supposed to be my friends but you easily betray me because of a woman. I am so disappointed in the both of you," Jackson said standing up in fury.

"I hate arrogant men like him who thinks so highly of himself. Instead of getting upset, he should feel honoured that I gave him the privilege of sitting beside me when he is not even my type of man," Jasmine who couldn't tolerate Jackson's attitude said in fury.

"Repeat what you just said?" Jackson asked throwing murderous glances at her.

"I said...," Jasmine paused when she realised what she had said earlier.

Oh gosh, damn me and my temper. I did not come here to waste my precious time fighting with him but to seduce him and get my stolen contract and his fortune, how could I forget such an important mission?

Jasmine scolded herself. She grabs a glass of wine lying on the table and drank it without even caring to know which of them kept it there. The three guys just focused their attention on the quiet lady who seems to be trying her best not to flare up.

Jasmine, you have got this?

Jasmine cheered herself up.

"I said a handsome guy like you shouldn't have such a foul temper because it is only going to drive beautiful ladies like me away," Jasmine said in a calm tone. The way she talked was so obvious that she was trying to keep her temper in check.

"And who says I care about whether or not my temper drives you away? I don't have interest in you so why should I give a damn about your feelings?" Jackson challenges the lady whose fake smile instantly disappeared after hearing his last remarks.

Look at him acting so pompous just because I spare him a glance. Who on earth says I have an interest in a jerk like him? I would rather choose Steve than chose a jerk like him if not for my contract.

Jasmine thought as she glared daggers at him.

"Steve, what the hell is wrong with Jackson? I thought he sets all this up to make her like him so why is he making her furious now? Doesn't he know that doing this will only reduce the chances of Miss Jasmine liking him?" Jeff whispered into Steve's ears.

"You know that Miss Jasmine is the proud type. No man has ever refused or challenged her and it is known among all the men in the City that she doesn't accept defeats. What do you think she will do if any man challenged her?" Steve asked as he stares at Jeff for answers.

"Miss Jasmine we all know will stop at nothing to subdue that man," Jeff replied bluntly.

"Do you now understand why Jack is challenging her despite knowing that his actions will upset her?" Steve asked. He smiled when he saw the surprised expression on Jeff's face.

"What a smart move Jackson has made. I can't believe he is willing to upset her just to have her to himself in the future. Because of what he has done today my admiration for him has increased drastically. I guess I need to start learning how to pursue a lady from him....,"

"Sshh... She is gonna hear you," Steve warned when he saw Jasmine staring at them.

"You aren't the slightest intrigued by me or my beauty? How will I know whether you are telling the truth?" Jasmine said rising. Even the way she stood up looks seductive.

"Are you acting this way because you have never been rejected or are you acting this way because a big shot like me doesn't find you attractive enough?" Jackson asked staring into her amethyst eyes. Staring into her eyes, he got so lost by its beauty, for a minute he couldn't look away.

"Yeah, I have never been rejected before by any man so what is wrong with that?" Jasmine said placing her hand on his chest. Her right hand held the glass of wine firmly.
