Heavenly Monarch Chapter 176

The demon became frightened as to what monster it has encountered as it begins to drag itself along the way trying to make a run for it but to no avail.
"Come on little demon, don't you want to play with uncle a little before going home," said Ray with a light chuckle as he placed his leg on the wounded leg of the demon.
"Arrrrrrrrgh"
The demon screams in pain as it tries to hit Ray's leg off. Still keeping the smile on his face, Ray raised his leg up before bringing it down again on the demon leg.
"I don't know what that witch must be thinking for her to let a demon with no intelligence out of the cage," said Ray to himself.
Ray continues to stomp on the leg of the demon as it let out a loud scream but after Ray stomped the leg for a long time, the scream of the demon came to a stop as it was already out of energy. Now looking down on the demon as laying on the ground.
"I believe you can understand me when I asked you where are the others hiding" asked Ray.
Looking at the demon to see if it is going to show him a sign or something but to his surprise the demon just lay there on the ground. Annoyed by the demon acting tough, Ray stomped his foot heavily on the demon's wounded leg as it let out a cry of agony.
"Now are you going to tell me where they are hiding or do you want me to continue with the torture," said Ray as he twisted his leg on the demon wound.
Ray continues to stomp on the leg of the demon as he tries to make it talk but to his surprise, the demon just scream and nothing else which annoyed Ray so much that he no longer care about getting information from the demon as he unsheathed his blade as he stabs the demon right in the heart before storing it in his storage ring.
"Now then, I think Ellis is going to be shocked stiff when he saw this," said Ray in satisfaction as he begins to head back to the inn.
Making his way back to their room, Ray was greeted by the gaze of Ellis and Jenny who seen to be waiting for his return.

"Why the look or did I have something sinister on me," asked Ray as he begins to check himself.
"I thought you said you don't want to live the room, so where did you go to," asked Jenny.
"Oh is that why you are all looking at me like I had something on me" replies Ray.
"I hope you didn't go back to the pub for another drink," asked Ellis.
"Come on man, you should know that I won't go back there at least not all by myself" reply Ray.
"Then where have you been all this time," asked Ellis.
"I have been searching for trance of demon when you guys left" reply Ray.
"Like I am going to believe that you actually went out to look for the sign of demons," said Jenny with a scoff.
"I am serious guys, I actually went to search the place where I caught that witch summoning a demon" replied Ray.
"We will need proof if you want us to believe what you are saying is true," said Ellis.
"I would love to show you but you know I can't bring a demon into this place for the fear of it aura licking out" reply Ray.
"That won't be a problem then" said Jenny as she walked to the center of the room and unleashed her aura before performing a hand seal.
After she was done with the hand seal, she take a deep breath before walking back to where she was standing previously as she waited for Ray to proof himself.
"Alright you can let it out now," said Jenny.
"What did you just do" asked Ray as he looks around him only to see the place was still the way it used to be.
"I just sealed the room to stop any aura from licking out so you can let it out now" replied Jenny.
With a wave of his hand, the demon was now laying on the ground dead.
"Did this clear your doubt?" asked Ray with a smile on his face.
"It sure did, where did you say you saw it again" reply Ellis as he bent down to look at the demon closely.
"Be careful it might be faking death you know" said Jenny as she urges Ellis to step back.

"Nonsense, how can it be faking death when I stab it right through the heart" replies Ray.
Turning the demon around to see if it was really stabbed in the heart and the moment Ellis turn it over, blood spill out of the chest of the demon as a deep hole could be seen there.
"It looks pretty dead to me" said Ellis before putting it down to stop the blood from staining the room.
"So were you guys able to find any useful information about when the wedding will be taking place" asked Ray.
"We got anything, can you believe no one was saying anything the whole time was asked about the wedding" reply Jenny angrily.
"So you mean to say you guys got nothing out all" asked Ray.
"Yes, we got nothing, what about you were you able to find if there is another demon in the area" reply Ellis with a question.
"No still got anything and I tried forcing the demon to spill the beans but it just continues to act tough, left with no choice I have to kill it," said Ray.
"How were you able to kill it all by your self," asked Jenny as she left it claw up.
"It is not really worth fighting a dumb beast you know and besides its realm was quite low too" reply Ray with a sigh.
"So what are we supposed to do now with its dead body," asked Jenny as she turned to Ellis for an answer.
"Maybe we should report this new finding to the guild" replies Ray.
"I think you are right, Ellis why don't we just do that" said Jenny.
"Sending this report to the guild won't be enough to prove Precidia guilty of summoning the demons" reply Ellis after some thought.
"So what are we going to do now that we don't have a clue as to when the wedding is taking place or where to search next" asked Jenny
"I don't know about you guys but I already have my guess on where to search next" replies Ray with a smile.
"And where could that be" asked Ellis as he looked at Ray in hope.
"The area where I saw the demon, I have this feeling that there could be more than one demon here in the Azura empire but I can't go there on my own" replies Ray with all seriousness.
"So you want us to go together with you is that it" asked Jenny
"Exactly and I want you guys to be prepared since we might face a powerful demon there" reply Ray.
"If we were to meet a powerful demon then the only choice we have is to make a run for it but I doubt there will be any powerful demon around" said Ellis.
"What makes you feel so sure that she won't be keeping one around" asked Ray.
"That is because she has not she has not shown any sign of rebellion yet" replied Ellis.
"What if getting wedded to the king is also one of her plans to rule the world" asked Ray.
"Once again I am telling you the king is in this together with the seer why can't you get that into your skull" reply Ellis as he brought up their previous argument.
"How can you say the king will stand so low as to even marry that witch. Just think about it this way, a king and a spell caster getting married do it make any sense to you" said Ray.
"He is right Ellis, it is quite strange that the king is really into her and even wants to make her his queen" agreed Jenny.
"This is really getting confusing and difficult to solve," said Ellis as he pulled on his hair.
"Our fit start is to check the forest out" reply Ray
Ellis just looks at Ray as he felt like they are going to get into a big trouble if they were to go out into the forest in search of the demons but what other choice do they have if they don't check it out.
"Think of what to do with this body and don't forget to clean the floor of its blood to avoid it from flowing outside," said Ellis as he got up and went to sit down.

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
