Heavenly Monarch Chapter 162

Keeping the body back into the storage ring, Ray got rid of the blood before going to do his own thing until it was time for them to head out in the dark where they won't be easily noticed by others as they walk out of the inn, and they begin to head to the forest that Ray went to earlier searching the whole place for any sign of demon since they will prefer to walk at night to avoid being seen by the humans but while they were searching for signs that a demon walked past the place, instead the footprints they saw was that of a human.
"Ray do these footprints belong to you" asked Jenny.
"Not mine, I didn't walk this way when I was coming none when I was leaving" reply Ray.
"Since it did not belong to you then who might it be" asked Ellis.
"Who knows, maybe it belongs to that witch" reply Ray.
"I don't know if that is true, but this could also be the clue we are looking for so let follow the track and see where it leads to" said Ellis
Following the track, the group was led outside the empire through a secret passage. Following the track until they got to the river bank where an old hut could be seen across.
"Hey is this the place where you caught Precidia summoning a demon" asked Ellis.
"No, I have never been to this place before" reply Ray.
"Are we going to check it out or just head back to the inn?" asked Jenny.
"I don't think we should do that since we don't know what is in there" replied Ellis.
"Come on Ellis quit being scared" said Ray as he smacks him on the shoulder.
"It is not about being scared but staying alive, what if there is a demon with a higher realm than us in that hut, what are we going to do then" asked Ellis.
"The least we can do is stand and fight or make a run for it" reply Ray.
"Then let me asked you, are you certain that we are going to win if we were to fight it, or will we successfully escape from it pursue if it decided to kill us" asked Ellis as he looks Ray straight in the eyes.

"Well I can't say we will but we won't know what is in there if we don't check it out and maybe the proof that we need to prove that precidia is responsible for all the summoning that has been going is inside that old hut" reply Ray.
"He got a point there Ellis so let us check it out and since it is already nighttime I find it hard to believe that whoever that is in there is still awake" said Jenny.
With Jenny supporting the motion, the group went forward and cross the river but the moment they crossed to the other side of the river, it was like they have just crossed to another world. Looking at their surrounding, they could feel foul air around them with some strange rock all over the place and a cold chill run down their spine which is a sign of danger.
"Where are we exactly" asked Ray while looking at the strange world they are in.
"Looks like we just crossed to another dimension and with the foul air going around, it should be the demon world" reply Ellis with a frown.
"It more like a small portion of the demon world has been brought to our world but has not fully been completely transported here and I think the demon Ray killed earlier came from here if I am not mistaking" said Jenny.
"You mean someone is trying to bring the demon world straight here" asked Ellis.
"Seems like it and whoever it was, must know a lot about the key for them to make it to appear here" replied Jenny.
"I think we should go report this to the guild before something unexpected happens" said Ray who couldn't stop his hand from trembling.
"That is exactly what I have in mind too, and we need to act fast before whoever that is behind this succeeded in bringing the whole demon world here. come on let's get out of this place" replied Ellis.
Just as they were about to walk out of the dimension that they were in, Ray suddenly received a notification from the system.
*ding*
[ mission update: escape from the demon world]
[ reward:??]
Seeing the quest that has been given to him by the system, Ray knew right away that something must be off since he knows the system barely give him any quest.

"Guys I think we should get out of here as soon as possible" said Ray to Ellis and Jenny quickly after reading the quest.
"What is it, did you discover something" asked Ellis seeing the way Ray was acting.
"No, I didn't find anything but I have this feeling that something bad is going to happen to us if we don't get out of here as soon as possible" replies Ray with fear written all over his face.
"Look how scared you are Ray, wish you could see the look on your face right now" joked Jenny.
"This isn't the time for jokes Jenny" reply Ray as he began to head the way they came from.
Walking for a while as they could see their way out of the demon world in front of them but were unable to get there even when the place was not five steps away from them but they have been walking like forever.
"This is strange, I thought we didn't walk far from the entrance when we got here" asked Jenny with a frown on her face after noticing the abnormality of the place.
"Yes we didn't but it looks like we have been either caught in an illusion or the entrance has changed its position" replied Ellis.
"How can that be possible, are you trying to say the entrance has a mind of its own" asked Ray.
"Not at all, it seems like the way into the dimension is not the way out so the only thing we can do for now is look for our way out" reply Ellis.
"And how are we supposed to do that when we don't even have any idea where this place comes from" asked Ray in anger.
"I don't know but it is our only way out of here, so we need to find it as fast before we are sighted by the demons" replies Ellis.
"Let check over there" said Jenny as she begins to head to a specific angle.
Making it to where she has pointed out for them to check only for them to come to a dead end. Taking another turn as they begin to search for their way out but still, the outcome was also the same like there was not a way to get out of the dimension.
"Where could the exit be" complain Jenny with a frown.
"Maybe you should try going into my mouth since there is also an exit there too hahaha" said a lizard-looking demon that crawls out of one of the huge stones.
"I am sorry to disappoint you but there is no way I am going into that stinky mouth of yours"reply Jenny as she didn't waste any time in bringing out her sword ready to cut the demon down.
Seeing the human not being one bit afraid of it's appearance, the demon couldn't help but chuckled as it sticks its tongue out at an incredible speed towards Jenny who slashes her sword forward to cut the tongue down only but instead she was sent flying back and was just about to crash into one of the huge stone only for Ellis to catch her before she could crash into the stone since he doesn't want the other demons to come after them.
"Are you alright?" asked Ellis as he looks at Jenny who has a painful look on her face.
"I am fine, who could have thought that its tongue could be that powerful" reply Jenny as she got up from Ellis's grip.
"I think we should fight this demon together if we want to get out of here as soon as possible" said Ellis as he looks at the demon.
"Looks like there are more people for me to play with" chuckled the demon as it charged at them.
"Be careful of his tongue" said Jenny as she rushes in to meet the demon head-on while Ray attacks from behind the demon.
Ray was just about to unleash a barrage of his attack on the demon only for Ellis to yell at him.
"Don't use any of your technique since it could only expose our existence here".
Canceling the skill he was about to use on the demon as he was about to slash his blade at it behind only for him to be sent flying with a swing of the demon's tail.

The Summoned - Complete
In a world of magic, ruled by many warring races, the human kingdoms are being pushed to the brink of collapse. In a desperate bid to gain the strength to stand on an equal footing with the other nations, they perform a forbidden ritual to summon combat slaves from another dimension. Unluckily for them, Mors Letus, recently named by their world's God of Death, was one of them. **** Warning **** This is a re-release (The Summoned) of the first book I wrote in partnership with my brother (who later forced the story to be pulled (It was released on his account here)). I have started writing my own version of the story (BOM: The Summoned) and will continue to primarily invest in that, though, now I have permission to re-release this one, I plan finish this as I have the drafts and it was close to the end of the first book. Many characters/scenes and events match/Will match BOM: The Summoned, especially in future arc's (Past Flatner forest). If you don't like spoilers, don't want to get confused between the two stories or hate first attempts at writing (god awful grammar/sentence structure and storytelling), I would advise against reading.
