When Ellis heard what Jenny said, he became quiet as he turned to look at Ray only to see him smiling.

"Did you bought the scroll?" asked Ellis with a serious look on his face.

"Don't you worry, I don't intend to use it now only when I am strong enough will I use it. And I believe you will be coming along when the time comes" reply Ray with a smile on his face.

"I don't have the time to talk about that right now, so let be on our way to the Azure empire," said Ellis as he walked out of the town.

"I hope this will be as we were told it will," said Ray as he followed Ellis from behind.

"What do you mean by that" asked jenny who heard all that he said.

"What I meant is the direction given to Ellis, I hope it won't lead to somewhere else" reply Ray.

"I am sure it will lead to our destination" reply Jenny.

Following the path that led to the forest, they were able to get into the forest before nightfall but that's when they started hearing sound coming from their surroundings, and sometimes it feels like it is far and sometimes near. And as they continue to go deep into the forest the sound begins to get louder and louder.

"Don't let your guard down guys, I can tell this is not an ordinary forest so be careful" said Ellis.

"You should have known me by now and letting my guard down is not something that I will do" reply Ray as he placed his hand on the sword handle.

Proceeding forward with caution, the group was suddenly attacked by a wild beast that looks like a wolf with a single short horn at the forehead and it seems to have a high level of intelligence.

"I don't think that beast is a wild one," said Ellis after the beast ran back into the forest right after it fails at his attack.

"How can you tell it is not a wild beast," asked Ray.

"There is no wild beast that will choose to retreat right after it fails in its attempted, instead it will attack us in its berserk state but this beast was way too calm like a tame beast" replied Ellis.

"What can someone really tame a wild beast" ask Ray when he heard that the beast will be tamed.

"Of course they could be tame but for one to tame a beast, he or she will have to challenge the beast to a dual and they were to come on top, is either the beast accept him or her as it master or it continues to struggle in a fight and lose its life eventually" reply Ray.

"I see which means I can also get myself my very own beast. I wonder what kind of beast should I tame" said Ray as he begins to contemplate on what beast he should tame.

"It's not that easy to tame a beast so you better get your mind off it" reply Jenny

"Just because you couldn't do it doesn't mean others can," said Ray with a smile.

"Knock it off Ray, now what could a tame beast be doing here at this time of the night," said Ellis as he tries to think.

"What if it was sent here to ambushed us by its master" suggested Jenny.

"That could also be possible which means its master has to be nearby" replied Ellis.

"So how are we supposed to get the master of the beast," asked Ray.

"That is one tricky question Ray for I don't even know how we are supposed to find whoever it is" replied Ellis.

"How about we let it attack us and act like it get to us. By doing so, I believe it master will be willing to come out of the dark" suggested Jenny.

"How are we going to fake it," asked Ellis.

"How about we pretend to be defending ourselves while acting drained of energy and I believe who even it master is, it must have been following us for a very long" reply Ray.

"Let's give it a try then," said Ellis.

As they continue to go into the forest, the beast came out on more than three occasions as it tried to harm them only for them to struggle to defend themselves and as time move they became out of breathe as they fell on the ground trying to catch their breath. Walking out of the forest, was the wolf-like beast and beside him was the man that Ellis met earlier in the town.

"So you were the master of the beast," asked jenny when the man came forward.

"Yeah she's mine, she's cute isn't it" replied the man as he stroke the wolf head lightly.

"How could you trick us into going to the forest just so you can rob us," asked Ellis as he still pretended to be out of energy.

"Oh, you can blame yourself for stepping into the land of the thieves and expected to leave without been listed" reply.

"The land of thieves," asked Ray in surprise.

"That is right, you should have done your research before coming to Zotor. So if you are looking for someone to blame, then blame it on yourself" replied the man.

"Oh well I think there is anyone here that needs to blame himself for crossing us is you mister", said Ellis as he stood still while burning in vigor as he stares at the man with a smile on his face.

Next were Jenny and Ray who went to block the wolf path of escape. Seeing that his victims were doing okay, the man became confused as he begins to shake in fear.

"How is this possible, you were supposed to be out of energy so how come you are still able to stand" asked the man as he continues to shake in fear.

"Did we ever told you that we are out of energy when we met back in the town" replies Ray with a smile.

"Look mister we don't want to get our hands dirty so tell me which road leads to the Azure empire and maybe we will consider sparing your life," said Ellis as he continues to smile.

"That road leads straight to the empire I swear on my honor" replied the man.

"I am not telling you to direct us but instead you are going to lead us there and your service will decide if your life should be spared or not," said Ellis.

"That is right mister, who knows if you are sending us to another trap of yours while you go gather more men to take us down" added Ray.

"No why would I do something like that" replied the man as he waved his hand in decline to what Ray was saying.

"Yeah, if you can lead us into this trap then why can't your friends after us," asked Ray.

"I can never do something like this" reply the man.

"Lead the way, I don't have the time for all this chitchat and don't you dare think of running off because you won't be able to run from me if it comes to that" advice Ray as he kicks the man on his bottom

"Okay sir, but do you mind if I could instruct my beast to head back to the town since it is not safe here in the forest," asked the man.

"No way am I letting it leave my sight, besides you should be glad that it is still alive after what it did earlier" reply Ray who was seen to be the aggressive one in the town.

Now seeing how he has become hostage to these young travelers, the man couldn't help but regret why he has decided to trick since they look young instead of showing them the road to the Azure empire, he won't be in his present situation right now.

After leading them out of the woods to their starting point, the man led them into another path that is cleared of any forest as they continue to travel in the middle of the night as. Walking for the night, they were able to get to the outskirt of the town.

"Alright guys, right ahead after going through this gate is the Azure empire," said the man as he let out a sigh of relief.

"Are you sure that is it because if I find out it's not, I don't care if you run away from that small town I will still find you and put you out of your misery" reply Ray as he narrows his eyes at the man.

"Truly that is the Azure empire, why would I lie after all the trouble of walking all the way here," said the man as he almost busted in tears.

"Alright then, you can head back together with your wolf" reply Ellis as he ignored Ray and let the man off.
