They continued to watch as the two energy moves from one place to the other at an incredible speed and with the way things are going, it doesn't seem like the match will be coming to an end soon.
After clashing three more times in the air, commander derrick and fray appear and the sight Ray and the others were seeing was not good.
"How come commander derrick is bleeding when they were only just exchanging blows," said Ray in surprise when he saw blood flowing from commander derrick's hand.
"He's not the only one that is bleeding, take a look at his hand" reply Jenny as she pointed her finger at fray whose hand was also bleeding.
Looking at the two as they stare at each other waiting to see who will make the first move, Ray couldn't help smile, and seeing the wide smile on his face, Ellis was curious as to why he was happy and decided to ask.
"What are happy about, did you notice something about the two of them".
"Not at all, I am just happy to witness two experts battling, unlike vice leader who outshines the opponent during his fight" replies Ray.
"Ain't you supposed to be worried about our safety, what if commander derrick loses in the fight," asked Ellis.
"Why should we be worried when they are fighting. At this rate, whoever that comes up on top will be almost out of energy" replies Ray.
"Which is a big problem, do you think the clan will be able to find a replacement for him if he were to lose his life here," asked Jenny.
"What are we supposed to do then" ask Ray in anger.
"We'll wait for an opportunity to present itself then we'll strike him hard" replied Ellis.
While they were busy making their plan, commander derrick and fray took off again as they continue to battle no stop, moving from one place to another while causing damage to the places that they have been. Left with no choice, Ellis and the others have to move far from them to avoid being caught in between the fight.
"Can't they go somewhere else to continue their fight, like the mountain or even still the desert" complain, Ray, as they took cover.

"You are really annoying you know that" yelled Jenny at Ray.
"Focus guys, remember we need to be ready for anything at any time," said Ellis.
In the distance, commander derrick and fray were busy switching places as they tried finding an opportunity to hit the other. Throwing his leg forward quickly at commander derrick who bent down to dodge kick before slashing his blade upward to perry fray next attack.
Pressing hard on his blade as he tries to force commander derrick on two knees so that he could do more damage to him and it was working as the blades were already getting close to derrick's shoulder. Putting more power into his hands, derrick pushed his blade sideways as fray who was not prepared for such action to be sway to the side, and what came next was a sweep as fray saw himself falling to the down.
After completely getting fray off him, derrick did a flip-up before going after fray who is also on his feet. Seeing fray holding his blade, derrick turned to the side where his blade was laying.
"Looks like I have the upper hand now," said fray with a chuckle.
"And who said I need my blade to beat the hell out of you" reply commander derrick as he pulled out two daggers from his boots.
"Oh I see that you brought some toys with you but you see, it still won't be enough to defeat me," said fray with a smile on his face.
"This is bad news for us guys," said Ray when he saw commander derrick holding daggers instead of a sword.
"No, we are not we have a higher chance of getting out of here if he is fighting with a blade" reply Ellis with a smile on his face.
"What do you mean by that" asked Jenny in confusion as to why would Ellis have so much confidence in commander derrick winning now that he is holding a dagger.
"You see commander derrick gain his fame back then when the six clans were still in conflict, he was among the clan assassin squad that was task with an important assignment, and whenever he was given a mission, he always makes sure to complete his mission with the help of his twin daggers" replied Ellis.

"Since he is pretty good with the daggers, then why did he suddenly decide to use the sword," asked Ray.
"I don't know why but ever since he was made the commander of the Gibson army was the day he started wielding the swords" reply Ellis.
"I think commander derrick decided to stop using the sword after taking the life of countless people who now hunt him," said Jenny.
"That's impossible, how can someone be hunted by those he has slayed" commented Ray in doubt.
"When one took other's life to a stage, they became bloodlust and won't be able to control themselves anymore" replied Jenny.
"Then if he became bloodlust, won't that also make us his enemy," asked Ray.
"Yes but luckily commander derrick has long learned to control himself so you don't have to worry about that" reply Ellis with a smile on his face.
Just as they have said, after holding the dagger for some time, commander derrick expression begins to change from that of anger into joy as he charged towards fray while laughing like someone who has gone nut and seeing this unusual behavior of his, fray was taking aback before swinging his sword at commander derrick who nimbly avoided it as he went for fray leg but before the dagger could get his leg, fray has already withdrawn his sword as he stabs it down causing commander derrick to flip back before charging forward again for another attack.
"What is happening, how come he became so fast and fearless," said the fray in his head as he fends off another of commander derrick's attacks but before he could clear his thoughts, he felt a stinging pain at his back. taking a step back to distance himself from the freak before him as he places his hand at where he felt the pain only to feel the warmth coming from that spot. Bringing his hand which was stain in blood in front of him, fray had a shocking expression.
"When did he manage to stab me from my behind" mutter fray.
Back at their hiding place, both Ray and Jenny were surprised by commander derrick's display.
"Look how nimble he is like a monkey," said Ray.
"Yes That's him and this spelled trouble for fray since commander derrick is just getting started" replied Ellis with a smile.
"What do you mean" asked Ray.
"His blood will make him even more aggressive like a beast," said Jenny who has a fearful expression on his face.
With a loud chuckle, commander derrick dashes forward with more speed than before as he stab towards fray's heart when he was not expecting it but before he could raise his sword to defend himself, commander derrick has already moved to the side as he slashes at frays knee. Putting one knee down, fray grits his teeth in pain as he places his blade down to supposed himself.
"Where is that arrogant look you had on your face earlier when you held the sword," said commander derrick with a crazy smile on his face as he takes a step forward with blood flowing from his blade.
"Go ahead then, finish the job instead of just bragging" replied fray as he spat in disgust.
"Oh I will alright but before I do that, I want you to have a taste of pain," said commander derrick as he dashes forward again before slashing fray other knees as he went kneeling on the ground before letting out a scream of pain.
"How do you like that, feels good right," asked commander derrick as he kicks the sword off his hand.
"Eh do Yuh guys think we should go meet him or what," asked Ray when he saw the crazy commander tormenting fray.
"I don't think we should go there yet until he is done with what he is doing" replied Jenny.
"Same here, it would be unwise to go there now that fray has one leg in the grave so he could make a crazy move at us" added Ellis.
"Then we just have to wait here and see how things will play out but I want to see the look on his face while standing in front of him," said Ray with a sad face.
"You can go do that but be prepared for what to come next" replied Jenny.
"I am staying right here alright," said Ray as he sat down.

Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

There was no way Ted would look through them all, but he felt the importance of the choice he was about to make and hesitated. Then he noticed a blank choice with the sole word "Respec" on it. Ridiculous, he had not even made a class choice yet and there was a respec button on the ui, it did not make sense and he pressed it out of curiousity. "YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE RESPECIALIZATION CLASS".
