Heavenly Monarch Chapter 153

Sitting on a tree outside of the Gibson clan was a man covered in rag while wearing a straw hat. He was no order than master fray.
"Why is it taking so long for them to leave the clan or are they just going to stay in the clan forever. Man, I never knew working for that prince would be this difficult" complain fray as he sat on the tree while waiting for the door to open.
After waiting the whole time on the tree waiting, fray was just about to close his eyes and sleep off when he heard the sound of the gate being open. Taking a closer look with a smile on his face as he saw his target walking out with two other people.
"An early-stage golden core practitioner and a late-stage foundation realm, this should be his new protectors" mutter fray.
The moment they were out of the gate, they look around themselves before running forward into the distance and seeing this, fray couldn't help but chuckle as fading away into the night.
"Let the hunt begins" this was the word that left the fray's mouth before he fades away.
After traveling for a long time on foot without any destination, Ray couldn't help but ask.
"Do you even know the way to Azure empire"?
"Yes but if you on going there on foot, then it is going to take you months" replies Jenny.
"Since it is going to take us months then where are we going to" asked Ray.
"We are going to the Vast Prairie" replied Ellis.
"Where is that and how does it concern our mission," asked Ray in a puzzle.
"The Vast Prairie is a desert where mercenaries gather to sell their products and if we ever want to get there on time, then we will need a teleportation scroll to take us there which could only be found in the desert" reply Jenny.
"Oh then you should have informed me before now instead of stressing me here," said Ray.
"How am I supposed to know that you don't have any idea that we'll be coming here" asked Ellis
"But at least you should have said something" reply, Ray.
"You know what, I think you need to work on your knowledge Ray because I am getting tired of explaining everything to you all the time," said Ellis.

Finally offended by what Ellis said and although it was true that he needs to more about the world he is in now but doesn't mean he has to put it that way. After traveling for a long time on the road, the three were just getting excited about not getting attack when they saw a lone man in the distance.
"Do you think that is commander derrick?" asked Jenny since she doesn't know what he looks like.
"I can't see the figure clearly but I am sure he is not the commander" reply Ellis with a frown on his face.
"I smell something fishy here," said Ray.
"No one knew about our mission apart from your father and the commander right," asked Jenny.
"I can't say for sure since my brothers can get any information they want from the guards" reply Ellis.
"Alright then, guess we will have to be prepared for the worst just in case he is not the commander," said Jenny as she placed her hand on the sword handle.
After cutting the distance between them, they came to a halt as they stared at the figure in front of them who was dressed in drag with a straw hat on top of his head, for people like Ray and Ellis who have come in contact with this kind of people multiple time knew that there is no way they are going to avoid fighting.
"I guess there is no way I can walk freely in the lower heaven without you thieve giving me trouble," said Ellis with a frown.
"What can I say, our client won't be at rest if you continue to stay alive" reply fray with a chuckle.
"They are not kidding this time around for them to send someone as strong as him this time around," said Ray.
"A golden core stage 9 practitioner, someone who is not too far from breaking through. Let's just hope that commander derrick is nearby " added Jenny in a voice that only the three of them could hear.
"You see I sent my boys after you last time but I don't know how you were able to get rid of them but it won't be the same this time around," said fray as he suddenly became serious.

"Did my brother also sent you?" asked Ellis.
"What if he did, it still wont make a difference if he didn't" reply fray.
"Because of the death of your men even though they came for my life," asked Ellis.
Instead of answering his question, fray took out his sword as he placed it in front of his face before sticking his tongue out and lick the edge of the sword.
"Sorry about my manners, you see I don't have anything to say to you anymore," said fray with a crazy look on his face as he dashes after Ellis.
"I can't believe we are facing a crazy person this time around," said Ray as he took out his sword and sent out a double wind slash at the incoming fray.
"I am willing to spare your lives as long as you don't get involved in this fight" yelled fray as he easily swipe the wind slash to the side.
After hearing his warning Jenny and Ray still refuse to stand back as they waited for him to make his move. Seeing that they are standing in opposition makes fray happy since he won't be that bored in fighting them but before he could get any closer to them, an arrow made out from energy was sent his way.
"Who is there," said fray as he manages to dodge the attack.
"Fray of the straw bandit, we finally meet" reply commander derrick as he came out of the distance.
"And you are" asked fray as he looks at commander derrick coming from his other direction.
"I am commander derrick from the Gibson clan and the young man you are trying to kill is my young clan master who I have been task to protect" reply commander derrick in anger as he stood before fray.
"So Brodie sold me out" fray mutter to himself as he stared at commander derrick.
"Looks like commander derrick and he is at the same level, so we don't have to worry too much about him," said Jenny with a sigh.
"I wouldn't say that as you already know they are equal so this fight is not going to be an easy one, we should be ready to give him a hand at any time" commented Ellis.
"I think Commander derrick is always late in doing things," said Ray as he changed the topic.
"What is wrong with you, we are here talking about how to get rid of this threat here and you are talking about something else" reply Ellis as burst into rage.
"Guys they are about to make a move," said Jenny as she cut them off.
Looking at them in them, Ray could see that both of their feet are moving and before they could focus on what to happen next, they suddenly disappear only to appear in the distance while kicking at each other before falling down as they disappear again and reappear at another location as they continue with their fight.
"I don't think we will be able to keep up with all this fight," said Ray as he placed his hand on the back of his neck.
"I advice you to stop doing that and just try to read their energy in the air instead of stressing yourself to catch up with their sequence" reply Jenny to Ray.
"Is that how you guys are keeping track of their fight?" asked Ray as he turned to look at them both.
"Yes Ray since they are faster than the eyes can see, it is more appropriate to keep track of them through their energy" reply Ellis as he continues to look ahead.
"Let me give a try them," said Ray in excitement as he has just learned something new.
Taking a deep breath, Ray begins to look around as he tries to feel the energy in the air only to feel nothing.
"Hey guys I can feel anything," said Ray after trying to catch their energy but to no avail.
"Try focusing more" replied Ellis.
Doing as he was instructed to, Ray begins to look ahead again and it didn't take long before he felt two different energy clashing together before clashing at another place. Looking at the energies, Ray was able to tell which one belongs to commander derrick since he has fought alongside him before.

Myth of The World's Trees
And Simon answered their call with a single statement that nobody understood "Et super mos absit hoc hodie!" "Yah!" "WWWaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" "AAAlllllaaaaallllaaaaallllaaaa!" "EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings. The environment became a world of electrical pulses traveling across several networks. I perceived the world through my lightning and sped my heartbeat to inhuman levels. I was present now, at this moment, at this point in time. I could feel the electrifying air saturating my lungs, the electrified ground vibrating at the rhythm of the approaching enemy. Then I took a step forward, everyone followed in tandem. Camilla the first, and then the others. Then I took a second step, and this time everyone followed simultaneously. Third step… Fourth step… Fifth step… Then light jogging… Speeding up… Running … Running faster…. Then suddenly, everyone disappeared into motes of light particles that re-constructed itself hundreds of feet above the horde, dozens of miles away from our initial position. We were literally 'diving' into battle.-------------------------------------------------------------------Despite a rough childhood in the slums, Omari had everything a guy could want - a loving girlfriend, an understanding sister, a wonderful teacher, and his dream job. "In a lot of ways, Snotlout is very much Spitelout's son," said Freda. Torben did not need to see her face to hear in her voice that she wanted to say more. "One can hardly help but notice," he said when she didn't immediately continue. "But," she added hesitantly. "In more subtle and quiet ways he is much more my son." Torben turned his face toward the sun, the heat of it warming his skin though his world remained dark. "Even without my sight I could see that.
