Heavenly Monarch Chapter 148

Jenny continues to attack the beast with her ice scattered shot technique to keep in place and distracted as Ellis and Ray make their way to where the beast is.
"This is the least I can do guys, the rest is in your hand," said Jenny as she withdraws her attack so that they can attack the beast without thinking of avoiding the ice attack.
"You can leave the rest to us" replied Ellis with a smile on his face as he delivers a punch on the beast.
Since the beast is still in its roll-up defensive position, Ellis was not able to get to the stomach. The beast begins to unroll itself as the ice that has pierced its body begins to fall. Coming out of his defensive state, the beast roar before slashing its claw at Ellis who rolled to the side to avoid it but before he could get up from the ground, the beast's tail was already upon him as he was sent flying out of sight.
"Dammit, so now I will the next person to be sent flying," said Ray as he turned to look at the huge beast.
" roar"
The beast roar seeing that there is still one human left for it to defeat as it bares its fangs at Ray. Sending a wind slash at the beast only for his attack to be net with the claw of the beast before he was also sent flying to the same direction that Ellis was sent to.
Falling on the ground, Ray let out a scream before turning around to see Ellis sitting down.
"Hey what are you doing sitting down here" asked Ray?
"I was waiting for your arrival" replied Ellis seriously.
"Okay, now I am here now what," asked Ray.
"It seems like we won't be able to get a hit at the beast's stomach unless it was distracted" reply Ellis.
"But Jenny help with that previously and it didn't work, so you must think of something else and be fast about it else Jenny will be in serious trouble," said Ray with a serious look on his face.
"I know about that, why did you think I was waiting for you to be sent flying here" replied Ellis feeling kind of annoyed by Ray.

"Then what is it that is taking longer for you to say" asked Ray.
"Do you still have that bow that has the freezing effect?" asked Ellis as he looked at Ray.
"Yes I do, do you want me to shot at it," asked Ray as he brought the bow out and equipped it.
"Yes, but you will have to wait for my signal before shooting at it" replied Ellis as he finally got up and went back to where the fight was going on with Ray tagging from behind while placing an arrow on the bow.
When they got to the destination, they could see the beast from where they stood going after Jenny who only could dodge the attacks that were sent after her.
"Get ready to fire the arrow Ray," said Ellis as he dashes forward towards the beast.
Seeing the human has come back for another beating, the beast turns around and begins to chase after Ellis as it let out a blast of energy from its mouth whenever it could not get to Ellis. Sprinting to the left or the right whenever the energy blast was about to hit him.
"What are you doing Ellis, do you want to get yourself killed or what" yelled Jenny as she gives chase after them.
"This is part of our plan to get the beast to stay put so that we can hit it in the stomach" replied Ellis as he continued to run for his life.
"You want to hold it in place and you are running, do you take me for a fool or what," asked Jenny in anger.
"Why would I, look Ray has a weapon that can freeze anything in place as long as it was not avoided" replied Ellis.
"So the plan is just for you to get the beast distracted right," asked Jenny
"Yes" replied Ellis.
"Then you should have just told me instead of you to place yourself in trouble," said Jenny with a smile as she lifted her sword and was just about to yell the technique she was going to use when Ellis's voice came in.
"Hey don't use that attack you use previously since it only going to make it roll up into a ball," said Ellis.
"Don't worry, I have more tricks under my sleeve" replied Jenny with a smile on her face as she brought her blade down as a cross-line begin to form before hitting the beast on its back.

"Shoot Ray" yelled Ellis as the beast stop and roar in pain.
With a smile on his face, Ray let go of the arrow before chasing after it from behind since the effect won't last for long. Hitting the beast on the head, Ellis took the time to gather some power on his fist before punching the beast on the stomach as it roars in pain.
Not giving enough time to recover from the pain, jenny also slashes her blade on the stomach as a big wound was from the slash.
"Yes that is the weak spot," said Ray with a wide smile on his face as he took at Excalibur before stabbing the beast to death.
*ding*
[ congratulations for defeating the beast]
[ Host received 1000 exp]
"Congratulations for passing the test, you may now proceed to the treasure vault and claim your reward," said the mysterious voice before a little door appears in front of them.
"Yes, finally it is time to claim my reward," said Ray with a smile on his face.
"Remember, you are only allowed to pick one item from the vault and you pick more than one out of greed, then you will be expelled out of the vault" added the mysterious voice.
"Excuse me, Senior, can we take the test again after coming out," asked Ray as he looked at the sky.
There was a little silence before the mysterious voice replied.
"The moment you leave this place, the tomb will cease to exist"
"Since everything will be lost after we leave, why don't you just let we three from the new generation help ourselves with them and put them into good use instead of letting them go to waste and I know how difficult it was for you to claim them," said Ray as he tried to persuade the voice to permit them to take as much as they want but unfortunately for him, the mysterious voice still refuse as he reminded them once more.
"One item and anything more than that will be your loss and as for you young one, here is the cultivation technique I promise earlier".
Out of nowhere, an ancient scroll appears and landed on Ellis's hand.
"Thank you Senior for your kindness," said Ellis with a bow without even opening the scroll to check the content.
"That scroll you are holding contains an ancient technique called the celestial body. If you can master it to its peak, then your body would be as strong as a god, but that will depend on how far you will go" replied the mysterious voice.
"I promise to meet up with senior expectations," said Ellis with a bow.
"Since you don't have any business in the vault, you are hereby expelled from this place" sale the mysterious voice and to go to everyone's surprise, Ellis begins to fade away.
"Good for him, unlike me I don't even have a clue of what I want," said Ray as he watches Ellis fade away.
"You don't have much time so be fast picking your reward else you will be expelled after running out of time" commented the mysterious voice.
"What the hell, so now we will be driven out even if we don't make our decision on time" complain Ray.
"Come on, let's get going. The more you argue here the more time we will be wasting" replied Jenny as she went through the door while leaving Ray behind.
Taking the door, Ray and jenny were teleported to a room filled with all sorts of things.
"Take a look at this," said Jenny as she rushes forward to look at a sword that was hung on a wall without touching it.
"Remember what rule so don't touch anything if you don't want to take it" replied Ray after looking at the sword before walking off to look for a suitable reward.
Searching the place, Ray was not able to see any treasure that catches his eyes and continue to search until he found a golden statue of a dragon all by on its own. Walking to where the golden dragon statue was, Ray couldn't help himself as he chuckled as he rubbed his hand together before muttering to himself.
"What is there to lose if I claim this statue for myself since the rest don't even worth much".

Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
8 521No Strings Attached [Rewritten]
Warning Just so you know, you better be paying attention to the chapter title or else it's going to be like travelling across multiverses. Explanation Due to a single comment made by a wonderful person, or some douchebag in real life, I have decided to create two seperate stories. A rewritten version, and the original version. The rewritten version will somewhat follow the original storyline of the original version, but will have extra content, extra side stories of course rewritten personalities. The original one will be like a rough draft of where I want the story to go. Like for instance, the original story is like the first Link from 'Legend of Zelda', choppy but fun to read. The rewritten story is the Link from any game during and after Windwaker, smooth and somewhat follows the main premise. Overall both are going to be probably terribly done but hey, I'm creating a furture and past story so what should you expect. - Styx Whatever just put up the revised description. - Ariel Edited Summary Jay W. Blu, a dashing and charming rich boy who's been spoiled his whole life. He is very cocky, has a case of egomania and isn't exactly what you call a 'Relatable Main character', unless you somehow fit one of these descriptions and then relate all you want. He had everything you would probably want if you weren't pessimistic, realistic, or chronically depressed. But as most reincarnation/summoning stories go, he get's himself killed at whatever age he was and is sent to another world. Normally, he would be summoned as something you would call a hero, but since that's to cliche by my standards he is something else. Instead of being the hero of the people that he was told about by a friend, he instead summoned as the anti-hero aka, 'The Hero of Demons'. Now he must traverse the lands slaying opposing heroes as he tries to keep his mind straight, although it's to late. There will be weird people along the journey like a fangirling war general, a hive mind and a manly magical girl? Oh well, Jay is too pure to see love anyways.
