Walking back to the two who were looking at the dead body of the demon with a relief expression, the vice leader couldn't help but chuckle before saying.

" Come on guys, let's head back to the guild and think of a way to uncover the suspect".

" Is there a need for that when we already know who it was" replied Ray?

Stopping in his track, the vice leader couldn't believe what he just heard as he turns back and asked as he looks at Ray attentively.

" Ray that's enough," said Ellis who was already getting scared where the conversation will lead to.

" I said we already know who the suspect is so there is no need to go back to the guild to plan things out while the suspect will have enough time to summon more demons to do her bidding, we can just take this opportunity to strike her now that she has not summoned any of the demon" replied Ray as he ignores Ellis warning.

" Did you just say you knew who it was" asked the vice leader with a happy expression?

" It seems like the whole fight has made you deaf" replied Ray feeling a little annoyed by the vice leader.

" Since you know who it was then tell me instead of keeping me waiting," said the vice leader as he didn't take the insult to heart.

" The involved is no one other than the seer Placidia from the Azura empire" replied Ray straight away without holding anything back.

When the vice leader heard what he just said, his joy earlier died down as a frown could be seen on his face as stare at Ray to see his reaction.

" I am hundred percent sure since it is not the first time she is doing something like this " replied Ray with all seriousness.

" That's because I am from the Azura empire and was frame by that bitch when I caught her making contact with the demons" replied Ray in anger.

" This is strange, if you say she is the one behind it then it will be really difficult to get her to talk since she is now being protected by the king of the Azura empire," said the vice leader as he begins to think.

After waiting for the vice leader to say something but he didn't say a word, Ellis voice out.

" I will be heading back to my clan after recovering from all this fight so I don't think this will have anything to do with us".

" What, we are already heading back to the clan so soon when we have not even reached our objective," asked Ray in shock when he heard the news.

" There is no longer any need in delaying my return" replied Ellis.

" What if your brother decides to plot against you once again" asked Ray.

" If it is the will of the gods then so shall it be" replied Ellis with a sigh.

" That's much better now where was I better I was interrupted by that brat" commented the vice leader as he turns to give Ray a look to see his reaction.

" Is nothing much sir just a little family struggle here and there" replied Ellis with an awkward laugh.

" Alright then if you say. Let's head back to the guild then" said the vice leader as he led the way out of the cave.

" Wait what about the problem with the demon key," asked Ray.

" That can wait until we hear from the head of the guild, so for now you can do as you like" replied the vice leader.

" Won't that time be more than enough for her to summon more demons?" asked Ray in disbelief of what the vice leader said.

" We can't just go there and accuse someone of being the suspect without enough evidence so for now let the matter be" replied the vice leader.

" Meaning nothing will be done about the key then" asked Ray with a frown.

" Just leave that to the higher-ups to handle okay and as a low ranker you are not supposed to say this to others least you will be putting yourself in trouble if words of this were to go around," said the vice leader.

Ray almost cried when he heard what Ellis said. ' what kind of friend will say such a thing to someone they are close to' thought Ray.

" Anyways let's take our leave and remember don't say anything about what happened here to anyone, not even Gray and the other should know about this," said the vice leader before they walk out of the cave while leaving the demon body behind.

" I hope you will be able to keep this a secret," said Ellis to Ray.

" Of course I can besides who would believe me if I were to say I killed a mighty demon" replied Ray as follow Ellis out of the cave.
