Making their way to where serpentine was, the two were shocked to see that it was no longer there and in place of where the impact took was scale made from snake laying down there.

" Wait a minute didn't say the demon will be seriously injured so how was it able to do something like this" asked Ray as he point at the scale on the ground.

" This is a little bit confusing, there is no way it should be able to walk in the condition it was in" replied Ellis with a confused look on his face.

" Are you sure you really get the demon?" asked Ray.

" Yes I am certain, that demon was injured when I land a hit on its back" replied Ellis.

" I hope it is not what I am thinking," said Ray with an angry look on his face as he turns to scan the environment for any sign of the demon.

Meanwhile, while they were talking from the side a shadow was crawling out of the cave, and with every move it makes, blood will gust out of its body.

" Just you wait until I make full recovery, I will be back for you," said serpentine as he turns to give the two a look.

Looking at them was the biggest mistake it has ever done. Looking at the surrounding in search of the demon when he felt the hairs in his arms stand on ends, turning to the angle where the killing intent was strong Ray was shocked to see a shadow like the form of a snake crawling out of the cave.

" Where do you think you are going," said Ray with a smile on his face as he gives chase after serpentine.

" Goddamn, how was he able to see me," said serpentine with a pained face as it begins to increase the speed at which it crawls.

Seeing Ray running towards the entrance at first Ellis thought he has lost it until he saw something crawling in the distance with a shock express he also gives chase before long they were getting close to serpentine who is finding it difficult to shake them off.

" Why can't they just mind their business instead they choose to chase after a defenseless demon" grumble serpentine as it continues to move.

After getting close enough to serpentine, Ray releases a wind slash which cut the snake's tail in to and with a scream of pain serpentine had to turn around and face them instead of just leaving it back defenseless for them to attack. Clawing at the incoming blade that was targeting to take its life before swinging what is left of its tail at Ray which sweep him from the floor with his blade falling on the ground but before serpentine could make a move on him, Ellis came out of nowhere and punch it on the breast which sent it crashing into the side of the cave.

" Hey, are you okay there," asked Ellis at Ray who was still laying on the ground.

" Yeah it just a little fall that all" replied Ray as he got up from the ground before dusting his body.

" Its energy is getting weaker by the minute, this is the only chance we have in ending it," said Ellis as he looks at serpentine who is struggling to get up.

" Yeah I know and I have been saving my energy to deliver the best attack that will be suitable for its death" replied Ray as he brought his sword forward with a sinister smile on his face.

" Don't forget to strike the heart or at least we'll be hunted by it again and will have to go through the process of fighting it and that is if we have the chance" said Ellis as he tags Ray on his shoulder.

" I have not forgotten unlike you who did not remember to kill it via the heart" replied Ray as he begins to make his way to where serpentine was.

Seeing the humans making their way forward, serpentine finally decided to give up struggling since it could hardly move and wait for the human to end its life so that it will be reborn again like last time since they don't know their secret.

Stopping in from of serpentine who has stopped struggling, Ray couldn't help himself as he chuckles as he waves his sword around before saying.

" There is nowhere left for you to go so just stay still and let me end your miserable life".

Seeing the human acting proud in front of it, serpentine spat the blood that is in its mouth at Ray which was easily avoided before saying.

" You may have won this time but I will be back again".

" I am sorry to say but there would not be any coming back for you" replied Ray as he shakes his head in disapproval to serpentine words.

" What do you mean by that" asked serpentine with slight fear in its eyes

" Simple your day here in the human realm is over, it is time for you to go back to where you come from" replied Ray as he raised his blade high.

" And you think that you are strong enough to send me back haha dream on," said serpentine as it begins to laugh as if it has lost its senses.

" We will have to see if I have the power to send you back to hell or not" replied Ray as he brought the sword down at serpentine right side of the breast while unleashing flame burst skill in the process as he was caught in the ball of fire together with serpentine.

Seeing the human in the flame with it make serpentine burst in laughter as it thought it won't be long before it will be revived while the human will have to suffer the burnt of the flame unknowingly to serpentine Ray immunity towards the fire element is very high making him feel no pain. before it could it enjoy the feeling of coming back to life to torment those that cause it misery, it felt a sharp pain in its heart and before long the pain begins to increase then came the burnt as it begins to scream in anguish.

Still resting the blade on the demon chest as the flame continues to consume it, Ray was having a wide smile on his face as he continues to enjoy the feeling of taking some loads off his shoulder.

" Finally I will be able to go out for quest again" mutter Ray as he continues to watch serpentine burn while still holding the blade with all his might to stop it from removing it.

After the body of serpentine has finally disintegrated into ashes, Ray places his blade in the scabbard before laying on the ground as he begins to pat like someone who has just escape a fight with the lion.

" Finally that demon won't be able to give me a hard time and at the same time it won't be having a good time in hell," said Ray as he tried to catch his breath.

" I think this will be the last time that we will be seeing that demon again," said Ellis as he sat close to Ray with a pale face.

" Yeah, I think I am going to take some time off to completely recover from the battle" reply Ray as he lay on the ground.

" Same with me," said Ellis.

" Do you think we should help the vice leader out with the battle?" asked Ray with a smile on his face.

" I would love to give him a hand but that will only lead to our early death" replied Ellis as he turns to look at the vice leader fighting with Broroch in the distance.

" Yeah I think so too, who wants to lose his life in a fight when knowing full well you won't make it out alive," said Ray with an embarrassing look on his face.

" I think we should take this time to recover our strength and only led him a hand after the demon has weakened a lot" replied Ellis.

" That is going to take forever just take a look at how vigor the demon his even vice leader is finding it difficult to land a hit on it," said Ray as he pointed at the two battlings.

" I don't think the vice leader is finding it difficult to beat the demon, just take a good look at his face you will be able to tell that he is having fun" replied Ellis.

Turning to look at the vice leader who was swinging his sword gently like someone who is out of energy but when looking at his eyes, one would be able to tell that he is happy with the fight.

" Is it just me or he is playing with the demon?" asked Ray in shock when he saw the vice leader's expression.

" It is more likely that he is using the demon as a sparring partner to train his sword art" replied Ellis with a wide smile on his face.
