Taking a closer look at the two, the vice leader couldn't help but shake his head in disappointment before he said.
" You guys seen to be really drained of energy, which would make things a bit slow for me".
" We wouldn't have been in this situation if you acted on time," replied Ray in anger.
" Now you are putting the blame on me," asked the vice leader.
" How wish you decided to help us on time than things wouldn't have ended like this" replied Ray.
" Do I need to remind you who you are talking to," asked the vice leader as he glares at Ray.
Seeing the two arguing was already getting Ellis worried especially when he felt the Aura of the vice leader surging he decided to speak first before his dumb friend will say something that will get the vice leader angry but unfortunately for him, Ray beat him to it.
" You are my superior and that will end once I leave the guild," yelled Ray as he sat on the ground.
" You are actually a fool as you think you can just walk out of the guild when you are being monitored," replied the vice leader with a chuckle.
" And that is what I am afraid of but sir what makes you think we are being monitored" asked Ellis.
" It is likely that the demon you all thought you have slayed is out there, and it's looking for a way to reactivate the portal, and to do that it will have to sacrifice human blood to open it. And since you all stood against it when it came into our world than it first choice for blood would be you guys" replied the vice leader as he turned to smile at Ray.
" There is no way that demon survives that attack, I saw it as it burnt to ash before my own eyes, so how can you say that it is still out there" asked Ray in confusion.
" I think I know what sir here is trying to say," said Ellis as a realization dawn on him.
Ray turn to face his friend as he was the only one that still doesn't know a thing or two about the demons.
" If you know something it better you spit it out" said Ray angrily.

" Well it was said in the record that when killing a demon, one should not forget to kill it through the heart and since we just destroy its body, it is likely that it heart was not damage" replied Ellis to Ray question.
" So you mean to say the demon is still alive and is out there looking for a way to get to us," asked Ray.
" Exactly and since you two can barely move, you are going to be it target so since you want to leave the guild than you are free to leave" replied the vice leader as he smiled cunning at Ray.
" Ellis how can you forget such an important information given him the time to make mockery of me" said Ray to Ellis.
" How am I supposed to remember such information when we are in a heated battle and by the way that was not kept secret from the world, so you can go asked Gray and the rest why did they forget about it" replied Ellis as he barked at Ray.
" Oh no I am done for, how did I ever land myself in the means of incompetent teammates" said Ray in grief.
" You are the one that is incompetent, apart from fighting like you have lost your senses what else did you know" replied Ellis as he roared at Ray.
" Hahaha keep it up, come on fight" said the vice leader as begin to laugh at them.
" You are enjoying this ain't you" asked Ellis as he turns to look at the vice leader who seen to be enjoying himself.
" Yeah I really am, it has been long that I have seen people fighting each other over a small matter like this" replied the vice leader as he wiped the tears from his eyes.
" You see what I am talking about Ellis, he is making fun of us just before of you" said Ray who was already on the verge of tears.
" Hahaha alright guys, you can stop now and try your best to recover Your strength" said the vice leader as he tried to stop himself from laughing.
" It will take us a long time to recover, are you sure you can wait that long," asked Ellis.
The vice leader face twitched in anger as he was reminded about their situation.

" Who have the time to wait for your recovery," replied the vice leader before he threw a pill at them?
Catching the pill before it could hit the ground, Ray begin to observe the pill since he don't know what it was and seeing the two looking at the pills curiosity he couldn't help but chuckle before saying.
" This pill can help you recover your strength quickly, it's a pill I usually bring along with me whenever I am in a mission,, so you should be happy that I am sharing it with you".
After hearing vice leader assurance, they both put the pill in their mouth befall closing their eyes and begin to meditate. Seeing them in this state, the vice leader look for a place to sit as he watched over them. They meditated from morning until nightfall before Ray open his eyes as he turned to look at Ellis who was sitting close leg before was still in the meditational state but after some time he also opened his eyes as his shape gaze met with Ray's.
" It took you long enough to recover your energy" said Ray with a smile,, but after saying does word the notification from the system.

Shock by the words that came out of the vice leader mouth, Ray turned to Ellis as he asked.
" Did you also gain from the battle or is he telling a lie".

" Now this is the vice leader of the Raging Dawn squad I know of" said Ray in a low voice.
" But sir there is nothing we juniors can assist you with" said Ellis.
When the vice leader heard Ellis trying to refuse his offer, he frowned before answering.
" I heard you two played a vital row in destroying the demon and right now, as your vice leader, I am giving you a quest which cannot refused".
Ray became angry when the vice leader gave them the quest,, and he couldn't help himself back as he yelled.
" What is your problem, can't you see that we are mentally exhausted and need a time to be in our peak".
" You can do that as we continue to track the demon down," replied the vice leader.
" I guess we can't change your mind eh" said Ellis with a sigh.
" We will take a break here before going on the quest in the morning," replied the vice leader as he walked into the hut.

Ill and bed-ridden, she slowly lost affect and cut herself off from outer reality, as her only joy was to construct a complex fantasy world. And eventually, she met her demise. Nevertheless, her story did not end here. Who is to say that Death is our last path? For her, it was just the beginning. She had been given a second chance. Reborn as a Goddess in the very own world that she created, it was now only up to her to write her own story. ‘This time, let’s try to live normally.’ Warning: Slow Character Development, Frequent Hiatus About the releases: Do not expect regular releases. A guy reincarnated as a sloth and is too lazy to be a protagonist
Hey, so do you also love a Story about people getting isekai’d into another world into a body of a monster that can evolve? Yea, sucks that most of them are either Harems (honestly, at first I was like "weird flex but okay", but now every fucking story that looks like it could go somewhere just throws the MC a new love interest every 3 chapters or so), or idiots that trust the first human they see to not kill them. Also, is it just me, or do most of them evolve into a human-ish Form way too fast? I mean what is the point of a monster MC if the guy is practically just an overpowered human? Well, after like about 3 years I am kinda running out of good stories, so I'm gonna try to make one myself. It's probably gonna be pretty bad to be honest, but it has no harem so it is already better than 3/4 of novels out there. And I haven't even started yet! But to be serious now: The story is about a pretty lazy guy who reincarnates as a sloth....I haven't really planned more for now... well, good luck to me I guess. Also I am not sure if I want this to have blue screens yet... I mean they look pretty neat but personally I'm kind of sick of them. PS: If you wondered, no I am not the person that took the photo of a sloth with sunglasses...god, that dude must be living the Life...
