" Looks like you failed in your attempt to get your revenge for beating you up" said Ellis with a smile as he pat Ray heavily on the shoulder.

Gritting his teeth in pain, Ray turned to give Ellis an angry look before looking away.

Meanwhile, in the Raging Dawn squad captain office, Gray stood while looking at two men that were sitting opposite him. One of the men was the leader of the Raging Dawn, with the other having a sword on his back.

" You said the key for opening the portal to the demon realm was in the cottage," asked the swordsman.

" Yes vice leader" replied Gray to the swordsman that was sitting by the leader side.

" If what you are saying is true then I am afraid to say that the key has already been taken away by another force" said the vice leader as he turned to the leader.

" But that's impossible, it took us days to leave the cottage and before our departure we never felt any strange present" replied Gray in disbelief.

" What if the force that is responsible for the disappearance of the key was actually in the area, and you could not discover it's present since your cultivation is not high enough," asked the vice leader.

Gray wanted to say something but what the vice leader said makes a lot of sense so kept whatever he has to say to himself.

" Since we could destroy the key, we'll have to be careful when sending our men out on quest and send a message to the clans to inform them about this," said the leader.

" That will have to be the only way we can track who ever was involved but what if one of the said clan was in with these" asked the vice leader.

" Then we'll have to leave them to deal with the said clan as they see fit since we are just an outside force" replied the leader.

" Gray, since this whole thing has to do with your group, I want you to fill them in and tell them to be care since they might be targeted" said the leader.

" I will see to that sir" replied Gray with a bow as he turns to leave the office.

" How is the kid recovery going," asked the leader when Gray was about to leave the office.

" He should be out of seclusion by now," replied Gray.

" What kid are you talking about," asked the vice leader.

" He's a new member of the squad and was also involved in the quest" replied the leader.

" And what is a new member going on such quest on his first day" asked the vice leader.

" You may not know this since you rarely stay in the guild, but you see the kid actually ignore cultivating his spirit and focus on his body cultivation" said the leader.

" He is doom to perish at an early age" replied the vice leader to the leader word with a scoffed.

" Are you sure these two are not hiding their cultivation base," asked the vice leader.

" Sir, if I may answer, Ellis and Ray are my close friends and I have tried probing them after witnessing the strength, but the result was still the same. I even went to asked miss jenny since she was the one that registered them in the guild and according to her reply, they were genuinely in the qi refining realm when they joined the guild" replied Gray who have been standing while listening to the two head of the squad speak.

" This is really hard to believe, tell me where are they from" asked the vice leader after coming to terms.

" I don't know sir but they seem to be from the other continent" replied Gray as he lower his head in shame.

" So where is he from now," asked the vice leader.

" Have you suddenly taken liking to these kids as well" asked the leader with a chuckle when he heard the vice leader statement.

" Why won't I be interested in them since they can take on the twin so easily, shows how talented they were" replied the vice leader before turning to Gray for a reply.

" He should be in the guild in search of a quest to take" replied Gray.

" Please lead the way than before he found himself a suitable quest to take" said the vice leader as he got up from his sit.

Doing what he was instructed to do, Gray led them to the quest board and was just about to search for Ray when he heard someone calling his name. Turning to where the voice was coming from, Gray saw Ray and Ellis who has yet to recover his body size was walking over.

" Good thing I found you, I heard you were giving the reward for the quest, so I came for my share" said Ellis when they finally got to him.

" Yeah I did and yours is with me but if I may ask, have you fully recovered" asked Gray as he gives Ellis a closer look.

" Yes, I have recovered my spiritual energy" replied Ellis with a smile.

" If you have fully recovered, then explain to me why you are still like this," asked Gray.

" Oh you mean my body, it will be back to it original size within a day " replied Ellis.

" You must be Ellis, the newest member of the squad" asked the vice leader when he saw Ellis and Ray were ignoring them.

" And you are" asked Ellis as he raised his head to look at the swordsman standing behind Gray.

" Hm, hm, err Ellis he is the vice leader of the squad" said Gray with a cough.

" Oh am sir for the arrogant display early, I never knew it was you" said Ellis with a bow.

And Ray also follow suite when he heard of the identity of the swordsman before them.

" No offence, I heard you were recovery from the intense battle previously so how is your recovery going" replied the vice leader not even bother with their display.

" I have fully recovered and ready to part take in a quest" replied Ellis with a dignified tone.

Seeing Ellis acting like this shock Ray to the core.

' Part take in a quest my ass, were you not the one running around looking for Gray to give you your share so that you can head back and cultivate' thought Ray.

" That won't be good for your recent recovery, you will need a day or two of rest before taking on a quest" replied the vice leader, knowing fully well that the young man before was just trying to look impressive before him.

" Speaking of quest, I thought you have a dual with Josh" said the leader as he walked to the group with his hand placed on his back.

" Greeting squad leader" said Ray and Ellis together as they bow to show their respect.

" There is a dual and no one bother to inform me" said the vice leader.

" I am sorry for not telling you on time, and it actually involved you" replied the leader.

" And what does the dual has to do with me," asked the vice leader confusedly.

" They want you to stand as the bookmaker for the day since they don't trust the others" said the leader with a chuckle.

" And what did you say to that," asked the vice leader as he gives the leader a meaningful look.

" I told them it is up to you to decided" replied the leader.

" That's good to my hearing" said the vice leader.

" So what is your reply to their request," asked the leader.

And the rest turn to look at the vice leader as they wait his reply.

" Since am already here and have no quest to do it's better to relax and watch some entertainment by the squad members so yes I agreed to be the bookmaker for the day" replied the vice leader with a smile.

The three bow and thank the vice leader for accepting their request.

" I will also be placing my bet, so it is good you will be here since there will be no one worthy of gambling with me" said the leader with a laugh.
