" What were you thinking about for you to keep silent when Gray asked if you could really use the bow since it is very important in our escape plan" asked Ellis as he looked at Ray in concern.

" Oh, I was just thinking about something and about the bow, I told you I already got it cover" replied Ray.

" Come to think of it, I have never seen you using a bow since we became friends" said Ellis.

" That's because I prefer going on a hand-to-hand combat than rang attack" replied Ray as he looks at Ellis with a smile on his face.

" Alright since that settle then, let's talk about how we are going to attack the demon" said Roland in anticipation.

" Since the demon will be teleported here, I believe it will lose half of its energy and since this is not the demon realm it will be very for it to recover it energy which gives us the opportunity to strike" replied Ellis.

" Do you think we can take it out while being in its weaken state," asked Gray.

" That depend on the plan, Ray, you will have to provide the team with an opportunity to land a hit at the demon with that bow of yours. After which josh and Roland will attack its legs the moment Ray has done his part" replied Ellis.

" I have heard a lot about the demons, and it is said that their skin is very hard, so will our weapons be okay to penetrate it" asked Josh.

" As long as you apply enough strength into your attack them that Won't be a problem" replied Gray to josh question.

" So I am just going to shoot an arrow at it and that's it" asked Ray.

" Yes, under the probability that the demon is far stronger than us" replied Ellis.

" What if the demon is at the same realm and stage as us" asked Ray.

" Then you are free to attack as you like" replied Gray as he pat Ray on his shoulder.

Turning to look at the rune, the team were ready to go into war with the demon the moment the demon comes out. They wanted for the demon to make its appearance, but there was nothing coming out of the rune except for the rune glowing intensively together with the statue which colour has change to red.

" Is it just me or is that statue over there feeding on the blood in the rune" asked Josh who decides to take one look at the statue that destroy his sabre with ease.

" I don't think so, it looks like a channel to the demon realm" replied Ellis as he turned to the statue.

" It's also possible that it is feeding on the blood from the rune, for it to withstand an attack by an advance weapon without any scratch shows that it grade is high, and it is likely that it has gained some consciousness" said Gray.

" We will have to report this to the guild and let them take care of the statue when we get back else things could get worst if it was left here for those that are seeking favour from the demon king to discover it" added Roland.

" Dammit why is it taking so long for a demon to come out of that portal" said Ray in frustration

" Maybe it stops working said josh who also seen tired of waiting for the demon to come out.

" That's impossible, there is no way the portal will just stop working unless the demon is already inside the Portal" replied Ellis.

" If it is already inside, then why is it taking so long for it to come out" asked Ray.

" When you enter the portal that took you to my courtyard how long did it take you to arrive" asked Ellis.

" How am I supposed to know when I was unconscious" replied Ray with a frown.

Ellis stop questioning Ray, knowing it will only be a waste of time. Meanwhile, Ray has already placed an arrow on the bow while waiting to test his accuracy on the demon the moment it arrives.

The group waited anxiously for an hour and there was still nothing, been unable to bear with it any more, Ray was just about to complain, but that's when the rune begin to glow brightly as the statue colour begin to dull.

" It seems like the demon is about to arrive" said Ray as his hands began to shake in excitement.

" Yeah, I think I am beginning to understand how the portal to the demon realm work" replied Ellis.

" Do you mind to share" asked Roland as he turns to look at Ellis.

" It's like this, the portal will not be able to function with the statue which stand as a key to start the portal and to do that we'll, you already know the rest" replied Ellis as massage his chin.

" So with enough human blood fuelling the statue, any demon will be able to close over as long as there is sufficient supply of blood" said Gray.

" Exactly but this statue will not be able to send more than one demon since the blood that was offered for the sacrifice is not enough" comment Ellis.

" So you're saying if we were to destroy the statue now, the portal will stop working with the demon being trapped in the dimension inside the portal" asked Josh.

" Yes but the problem is how are we supposed to destroy the statue with all this weak weapons" replied Ellis.

Alright everybody to your position and don't forget the plan. In less than ten minutes, the demon should be transported into this hall" Ellis said to the group as he took his stance while taking a deep breath.
