Ellis was laying in the ground while been drench in blood with Amanda laying beside, although she was not injured seriously like Ellis, but she could hardly get up on her feet. Walking forward to Ellis the leader of the worshipers stomp his feet on his head creating a small crack on the ground.

" Ellis" yelled Amanda.

" Hahaha, don't worry it is going to be your turn next after I am done with your boyfriend here" said the leader as he twisted the leg that was placed on top of Ellis head forcefully.

" Stop it you are hurting him" plead Amanda in tears.

" And why should I do that" asked the leader with a smile on his face.

Ellis was just laying on the ground powerlessly with a foot placed on the top of his head, he begins to regret why he did not take his training seriously while he was still in the clan now a lowly cultivator can just walk up to him and beat the hell out of him.

" Who could have taught that a day will come when a clan master like me would be treated in this way" mutter Ellis with his head buried on the ground.

Even though Ellis was just muttering to himself, the words he said were still able to reach the ears of the leader. The became furious and stomp harder on Ellis head.

" A mere hunter like you still calling himself a clan young master" said the leader of the worshipers.

The leader sent Ellis flying and clashed into the wall by the side of the statue with a kick.

Ellis struggle to sit up and rest his body against the wall before warping his face of blood.

" Just look at how useless he is, even though he is a young clan master and was granted with unlimited access to the clan resources he couldn't break through those where the words spoken by his second elder brother Wyatt back when he was still in the clan. After being beaten by the leader of the worshipers, Ellis began to recall what his father and brothers have said to him.

" A weakling and unreliable person like you who only know how to enjoy yourself is not qualified to being a clan head these are the words of his eldest brother Simon.

" It's because you are weak that I am sending you to warberry cave" and this was the words of his father before he left the clan to complete the mission given to him by his father.

" Am useless you say, unreliable you said and weak" said Ellis to himself with a sigh.

Gritting his teeth in anger, Ellis yelled what have I become and the next moment his aura begin to rise intensely while pushing any object that is in the energy range flying and then came spiritual energy from the environment surging toward Ellis and seeped into his skin.

Those fighting couldn't help but stop their fight and stare at the energy surging towards Ellis.

" What is happening to him, is that one of the attack of the demon king worshipers " asked josh who knew nothing about the energy that's surging at Ellis.

" If am not mistaking, he must be attempting to break through to the next stage " reply Gray.

While all this was happening, Ray did not give his opponent the time to look at what is going on ahead of them and at the same time he was having a chat with the system.

" Hey system, what is going on with Ellis that is making him look like that".

[there is no need to worry about Ellis, he is just making a breakthrough in his fleshy body]

" What he is making a breakthrough in his fleshy body, I wonder how strong he will become after he's through with the process said Ray with a smile on his face as he begins to attack his opponent wildly.

" Do you think I am going to allow you to continue with your breakthrough, replied the leader of the worshipers.

as he launched himself towards Ellis only for him to be blast with a wind slash that sent him falling backwards.

" No one is going to distract Ellis, not when am he" said Ray as he continues to battle with his opponent.

" How in the world was he able to fend off the leader while facing a powerful opponent " said Roland in shock since he is finding it difficult to overpower his opponent in the fight.

" I believe he is holding back" replied Gray.

In actually truth, Ray was not really holding his strength back but that the wind slash does not need a long channeling time to cast unlike his flame burst that need to be charged for sometime before being used. Although Ray have been killing a lot of the demon king follower, but it was no where enough for him to level up to the second stage of foundation realm.

After stabling himself, the leader turn to look at the angle where the attack that hit him came from only to see a youngster fighting intensely with one of his men.

" This set of hunter are really weird, how can two foundation stage one realm be on an equal ground with an expert in the foundation realm. Not to mention that attack just now" thought the leader of the worshipers to himself before turning to look at Ellis who is fully covered in cocoon.

" What is he trying to do, I can't let him continue with what he is doing" said the leader as he flew toward Ellis once more in attempt to blast him away together with the cocoon only for him to encounter Amanda who was in the way.

" There is no way I am letting you get close to Ellis" said Amanda as she begins to gather what's left of her energy in her arm which took the form of a long heavy saber.

Using all of her strength to swing the energy saber, Amanda slashed at the leader of the worshipers. Seeing the attack that is been launch at him, he drew a protective shield around himself before the energy saber could touch him.

After being hit by the energy saber, the leader flew back into the ground though he was completely fine, but the same couldn't be said about Amanda who fell on the ground exhausted.

Turning to look at the cocoon, Amanda smiled before saying.

" I did my best Ellis, the rest is up to you now.

Getting back on his feet, the leader refuse to accept the fact that he could not defeat a mere foundation realm cultivator who is in his weakest jump back up at top speed while launching at the Ellis. Since everyone was occupied with their opponents and with Amanda out of energy, the leader was finally able to get to the cocoon without any disturbances from the hunters.

Gathered enough power on his hand before launching a powerful palm attack at the cocoon in hope of destroying it only for him to found out that the cocoon was still fine without any scratch. Out of frustration, he continued to launch attack after attack on the cocoon until the cocoon began to show sign of cracking up.

Taking a step back after creating enough crack on the cocoon, the leader begin to gather an energy ball on top of his head with his hands spread upward. Feeling the chaotic energy around them the hunters turn to see what it was only to see the leader holding a large ball of energy on top of his head and after gathering enough energy, he swung his hand down and the energy ball begin to fall towards the cocoon at an incredible speed.

" Get out of their Ellis yelled Ray as he abandoned his opponent and begin to run toward the cocoon.

" It's over boy, there is no way he is going to survive the blast from this attack of mine" said the leader of the worshipers with his hands still facing downward.

" Shut up you old fool " yelled Ray at the leader.

" It's all over" said Amanda as tears begin to roll down her eyes.

Before Ray could get to the energy ball, the ball has already hit the crack cocoon and exploded by sending shockwaves all over the place that sent everybody flying back and crashing into the ground.

After something the energy subdued and everything became clear for everyone to see. Ray got up on his feet and begin to stare at the area where the cocoon used to be only to see the place devoid by any life force. Ray was just about to rush at the leader of the followers and fight it out with him only for him to hear a notification from the system.

[picking up sign of life force from the east]

" Haha, he survived it but where is he" said Ray with a relief before turning to the east in search of Ellis.

After the energy ball hit the cocoon, part of the building was destroyed by the power of the attack.
