After entering the hallway, the group of hunters begins to walk and after walking for a while they were not able to come across any opening or source of light. The whole place was in complete darkness and the group are already getting upset by this.

" What is the meaning of all this, are we just going to keep walking until we walk into hell" complain josh.

" I think I am becoming to understand the kind of person you are josh, a total whiner" said Ray.

" It sees like you want to have a fight with me and let me tell I don't mind beating the leaving hell out of you" replied josh with an anger.

" So do I, I don't show my opponent mercy when I give them a beat down" said Ray with a smile.

" Guys, you better knock it off right now. If you want a piece of each other, you can settle it at the arena later after we are done with the quest" said Roland.

" I don't have time to play with a whiner" said Ray as he gave josh a look before walking ahead.

" Let's wait and see who will be the whiner after I beat you up in the arena later on" josh mutter as he walked.

Finally, ahead of the team was a little source of light. Making ace they ran on their top speed, they came across a great hall.

Instead of going in, they decided to observe the hall before going in and when they peak from the entrance, they saw a crowd of hooded people whose back are facing them and ahead of the hooded people was a statue of a man with two wings spurting out of his back like those of angels, but the wings looks like those of bats and two horns were at his head like those of the demon. When the team saw this they were shock and couldn't help but say in a low tone.

" The Devil king".

" What devil king are you people talking about" asked Ray in confusion.

" That's the statue of the ruler of the whole heavens" replied Ellis to Ray.

" Are you saying a devil was actually the ruler of the world" asked Ray.

" Yes if you put it in that way" replied Gray.

" I thought the devils are only demons that are cast out of the heavens to a realm where they would stay for eternity so how come the devil become the ruler of the heavens" asked Ray.

" Yes that's how it used to be many years ago until the devil grow strong to a setting stage and challenge the ruler of the heavens at that time to a duel for supremacy and eventually won the duel while the ruler died in the duel" replied Ellis.

" There should have been other being that are strong enough to take the devil on so how come he is still the ruler" asked Josh this time around.

" I also don't know about this too and by the look of things, they are not recorded in the ancient rune" Gray commented.

" Actually after the devil became the ruler, other supreme being challenged him to duel, and they also lost while perishing, and it seems like whenever the devil slay his opponent, he grew more powerful" replied Ellis to the group.

After Ellis said those words he noticed that the group were silent and turn to look at them only to see they are standing stiff with their mouth wide open in shock and not knowing why there are like that, he couldn't help but asked.

" Why are you all like that".

Being the first to come out of the state, Gray replied.

" How come you know so much about the ancient record even though they were not in the ancient rune".

All eyes were now focussed on Ellis when Gray asked him this question.

" Why are you all looking at me like that" said Ellis in fright.

" How did you know all this if you are not an important figure in a Clan" replied Roland.

" Come on guys, so he gets to know about the record and so what, didn't you know things that we both know" asked Ray to Gray and the others.

" You are right, but this case is different" replied Gray

" What's different knowing about the record" asked Ray.

" Only those from either the upper heaven, middle heavens and important members of the clans knew about the record. And for Ellis to know about it means he's a young clan master of one of the other clans" replied Gray.

" What if I tell you an elder I meant when I was training in the forest, told me all these things I am saying" said Ellis.

" Let's forget about that, who are this people and what are they doing" asked Ray.

" They are the demon king worshippers and by the look of things they are about to make sacrifice to the demon king" replied Gray to Ray.

Meanwhile, among the group of hooded people in the great hall a hooded man which seen to be the leader started saying some incantation and the statue of the demon king begin to glow red.

" Bring in the lambs, said the leader of the worshippers.

In the next moment some members begin to bring unconscious bodies and lay them in front of the demon king statue.

" Isn't that Amanda and Nicholas" said Ellis as he looked at the blindfolded lady and man that are brought forward.

" So it seems, it looks like they were the lambs that man was talking about" replied Roland.

" We can't let them succeed with whatever plan they want to achieve" said Ray as he was about to unsheathe his blade from the scabbard only for Ellis to hold his hand in place.

" Let's wait and see what they want to do and don't cause a commotion okay" said Ellis with a frown before turning to look at the hostage.

" This should be more than enough to complete the sacrifice" said the leader of the worshippers.

" Guys we need to make a move now before they start killing the hostage" said Ellis to Gray.

" Alright but we are not going in together, Ray and Ellis will be tasked with rescuing the hostage while we take them on" replied Gray.

But they are too many for us to handle" said Roland.

" Don't let their number deceive you, apart from the leader who is in sixth stage of the foundation realm and some three others, the rest are in Just in qi refining stage" replied Ray.

" How did you know about that, asked Gray in shock.

" It's a secret that I can't tell and by the way, why am I not going with the offensive team" complain Ray since he could only level up via battling.

" I don't have the time to answer that question of yours" replied Gray.

" Gray let's go they are about to kill the hostage" said Josh anxiously.

" Let's move" replied Gray as they rush into the hall with their weapons in hand.

" Intruders, get rid of them" commanded the leader of the worshippers.

And that's when the members of the worshippers charge at Gray and his group, and they begin to fight. Taking down one worshipper after the other, they were able to hold their ground against the worshippers until the other three foundation realm expert join the fight making things difficult for the group.

" We need to make a run for this" said josh as he defended himself from an attack from one of the expert.

" We are not leaving until we rescue the hostages" replied Gray while exchanging blows with the other expert.

Near the statue the leader of the worshippers had already brought out a sword and was just about to slash at one of the hostage But that when he felt his hand going numb, raising his head to take a look at what has blocked his attack only to see a chubby youngster before him.

With a smirk look on his face, Ellis throw a punch at the leader which connected and sent him flying.

After sending the leader flying, Ray went forward and begin to free the hostages before saying.

" Those that are capable of combat should defend those that can't".

Getting up from the ground, Amanda raise her head to take a look at her saviour only to see a familiar face.

" Ellis what are you doing here" said Amanda.

" That's does not matter now, all we need to do now is to leave this place" replied Ellis while waiting for the leader to get up.

After freeing the hostage dash forward and began to attack the followers that are coming for them.

" I am going to spill all your blood in here and make you a sacrificial lamb to your so-called God" yelled Ray as he begins to kill followers after the other.

Finally, I have got my device fixed....
