" What the Patton clan" Ellis said out loud when heard Gray say that they will be heading to the Patton clan to get information about the quest.

The group were frightened out of their wit when they heard the shout. Turning to face Ellis, Gray asked.

" Is anything the matter".

" Not at all, sorry about that" replied Ellis.

Seeing that all is well, Gray continue to lead the team as they walk a barrel land. Pulling Ray close to him, Ellis whispered into his ears.

" There's no way we are going in there with them"

" And why did you say that" asked Ray.

" Have you forgotten about that young man that invited us into his carriage the other time right after we left the Orc cave, he's from this clan, and it is likely that his clan members will be able to recognize me" replied Ellis as they walk forward.

" And how is that our problem" asked Ray.

" It out a problem because if they find me here, I might be captured and used as a bargain chip, replied Ellis.

" Okay since it has come to that, you will have to hide somewhere until our return" said Ray while patting Ellis lightly on his shoulders.

" You can't go in there with them also since Felix knew we are partners" said Ellis.

" But I thought you two were friends" asked Ray when he heard he won't be going in with them.

" Yeah we are but to be on the safe side, so we are staying put before we get to their territory" replied Ellis.

They walked alongside the Hiepia empire for about two hours before they could see a little city far ahead that seem to be glowing and before the team could go forward Ellis called out to Gray and said.

" Is it possible if the both of us waited here while you go inside to discuss the quest".

" Did you offended someone from the clan" asked Gray while looking at the uneasy Ellis.

" Something like that, and I am setting we will cross each other if we go in together with you guys and maybe cause you to lose the quest" replied Ellis in all seriousness.

" Alight you can look for a place and stay hidden, I will notify you guys later on" said Gray before leading the team towards the city.

When they got close to the city they discovered that the glow they saw from a distance ago was actually a protective forcefield, walking ahead in interest Roland was just about to touch the forcefield when Gray stop him.

" Don't touch that, else you are going to lose your hand" said Gray.

" You shouldn't have stopped him Gray since h loves to touch things said josh.

Gray choose to ignore josh and looked around the forcefield before saying out.

" The Raging Dawn squad on behalf of the quest set out in the hunter guild".

After saying those words, they begin to wait for a reply from the Other side and after waiting for five minutes, the forcefield tremble before creating a little entrance and that was when I voice rang in their ears.

" You may enter".

" Wow that's some hell of cultivation" said josh after the voice faded.

Taking the lead, Gray walked through the entrance that was created by the forcefield before josh and Roland follow suit and the moment they cross over to the other side the entrance disappeared and the forcefield return the way it used to be. After crossing to the other side they saw two men which seem to be in the fifth stage of the golden core realm staging guard at the entrance.

" The clan head is waiting for you in the great hall" said one of the guard as he pointed the direction to the great hall to the group of hunters.

The team nodded to them before proceeding forward until they get to the great hall where another two cultivators were standing guard by the entrance and by the look of the qi that is being released from their body tells that they are at the same realm as the previous guards by the entrance.

One of the guard open the door to the hall and gesture for the team of hunters to get in. When the team walk into the hall they discovered the room was so wide that it could house at least fifty to a hundred people and ahead stood an old man which seem to be the only person present in the hall apart from the hunters team.

" Good day clan head Isaac" greeted the team in union with a slight bow to the old man.

" You may raise, and please have a sit" replied Clan head Isaac to the team.

Rising from their bow, the team took their sit before Gray said.

" A quest was posted in the guild saying information will be available here in the clan, do you mind telling us what it is if you don't mind"

Clan head Isaac let out a sigh before saying.

" The quest was about my daughter that went out to see a friend about a week ago and had yet to return".

" Have you tried sending some of your men outside to look for her" asked Roland.

" Yes I did, and they were unable to find her which is why I place the quest at the guild" replied clan head Isaac.

" Does she tells you who she is going to see before leaving" asked Gray.

" She did and it's not the first time that she go visiting her friend, and she be always back that same day" replied clan head Isaac.

" Is there any drawing of her we can use to investigate this matter" asked Gray.

Clan head Isaac took out a paper that is being wrapped with a strange robe and pass it to Gray. Taking the paper from clan head Isaac, Gray decided not to open it and asked.

" We will need the name of your daughter and the resident of her friend with he or her name if you don't mind".

" My daughter name is Amanda and the name of her friend is Nicholas, he is the young clan master of the Cayson Clan" replied clan head Isaac.

" Alright I think this should be enough to finding your daughter" said Gray.

" Good, you mean now carry on with the quest" replied clan head Isaac.

The team got up from their sit and bow to clan head Isaac before taking their leave. After leaving the hall they proceed to the entrance out of the clan where a space was created in the forcefield for the team to leave the resident. Walking a distance from the territory of the Patton clan, Gray whistle and the next moment Ellis and Ray came out from their hiding.

" So what is the quest all about" asked Ray with a smile the moment they join the group.

" The clan head daughter is missing, and he went to us to search for her whereabout" replied Gray.

" Amanda actually went missing" said Ellis.

" Oh, so you knew about her" asked Josh.

" Actually she's the reason why I couldn't go in" replied Ellis when he realized he just said he shouldn't have.

" Anyway our objective now is to head to the Cayson clan and asked the young master for some information. According to clan head Isaac, Amanda went to see Nicholas of the Cayson clan" said Gray.

" Now we are heading to the Cayson clan too what a great quest this is" complain Ellis.

" I thought you said you want to do some quest so why are you complaining now that you have one" said Gray.

" Forget about him, he must have offended someone in the Cayson clan too, to be so tense by the mention of the Clan" replied Roland.

" Hey Gray while don't you let us see the picture of the young lady we are looking for" said josh who has a wide smile on his face.

" I hope you don't have anybody intention and don't forget about her background" replied Gray to josh knowing too well why he said does word.

" What picture is he talking about" asked Ray.

" Nothing special just a drawing of the girl we are looking for" replied Gray as he took the picture out if his storage ring and opened it for the team to see.

" She's pretty you know" said josh

" I hope you are not having any wild thought about her" asked Gray as he glared at josh.

" Not at all Gray, I was just wondering what could have happened between her and Ellis for him to be too scared to go in with us" said josh with a puzzle look on his face.

" May he tried forcing himself on her" joked Ray.

" It most likely possible because I don't see another reason apart from that, he can't do anything else" replied Roland with a laugh.

Ellis just glare at Ray before shaking his head.
