The first wave of lightning came and crash on top of Ellis head, grunting his teeth in pain, Ellis was able to withdraw the first wave. Then came the second and third waves which he also withstands easily but when the fourth wave came crashing on him, Ellis have to stand up and face the lightening head on. Throwing his fist forwards the lightening and an explosion occur.

Taking a step back from the force of the explosion, Ellis was able to stop the fourth wave. Taking a deep breath Ellis was just about to drive his spiritual energy when the lightening begins to gather again.

" Oh come on, will it kill you if you come two minutes" yelled Ellis while looking at the lightening.

As if the lightening was answering to Ellis question, the lightening rumble before descending. Taking a step back, Ellis drive his energy and utilized the Golden quake fist technique Harding his body. Ellis stood in a fight stance and when the lightening get close, he punched at it.

Feeling his hand go numb from the attack, Ellis have to shake his arms around before they felt better.

" Wow, he was able to withstand the first five attack. The remaining two shouldn't be a problem" said Ray from afar.

Next was the sixths lightening gathering energy in the sky.

" Only two more lightening to go, and I will become a full pledge foundation realm expert" said Ellis to himself while preparing for the attack.

After the lightening has completely gathered enough energy, it descended at an incredible speed, gathering energy in his fist Ellis punch out with a yelled and what came after was an explosion.

" BOOM"

Flying out of the explosion with his clothes been ripped off completely with blood dripping from the edge of his mouth, Ellis warp his mouth of blood before throwing an intermediate health potion into his mouth before sighing in relief.

" Good thing I took some of these things from Ray, and now is the last wave of the lightening" said Ellis while looking at the sky seriously.

Meanwhile, while Ellis was focusing his daze at the sky waiting for the lightening to gather and descend, Ellis was also gathering the whole of his spiritual energy into his fist and the moment the lightening lashed at Ellis after completely gathered energy, Ellis punched out the lightening while screaming at the top of his lungs.

" MIGHTY LION FURY"

The spiritual energy that was gathered in Ellis arm turned into a gigantic lion head the moment the punch was sent forward and crashed with the lightening with led to an explosion that sent Ellis flying while spitting out a mouthful of blood before crashing into a nearby tree.

The lightening in the sky began to withdraw and after some time the sky gain it color. Seeing that the tribulation is over, Ray jumped down from the tree and head to Ellis who has yet to recover from the crash.

When Ray got to where Ellis was, he was a shock to see that the energy coming out was actually the spiritual energy of a foundation realm expert, but there was a different to this energy. Giving Ellis a helping hand, Ray couldn't help but asked.

" Why do your energy feel so different"?

" What do you mean by that? Replied Ellis with a question of his own.

" Nothing out of the ordinary if you asked me" replied Ellis.

" I need to go back to cultivate and stabilized my realm" added Ellis before walking towards the direction of the city.

" Wait didn't you say we are going to have a lot of fun when you come out of seclusion and now that you are out, you are actually planning on going back to seclusion" said Ray with an angry face.

" I do say that, and I will keep to my word but right after I'm done stabilizing my realm" replied Ellis with a chuckle while walking to the city.

Ray decided to give up and just follow him back since it's very important for every cultivator to stabilize their realm whenever they break through. After walking for some time, the were able to reach the city and walking toward their home Ellis became curious to what this troublemaker could have done to keep himself busy during the time he has spent in seclusion.

Turning to Ray who had his head lowered while kicking a stone along the way, Ellis asked.

" So what were you busy doing when I went into seclusion?

" Nothing much, don't worry you will see for yourself when you arrive at the guild tomorrow" replied Ray with a cunning smile on his face.

Seeing the look on Ray's face, Ellis was a little concerned for what he could have done he shook his head before saying.

" Hope you didn't do anything evil while I was in seclusion"

" Come on man, am I really that good at causing trouble that you are now beginning to worry" replied Ray while smiling at Ellis.

" Yes you are, and I hope it's not going to rub on me later when we get to the guild" replied Ellis.

" Don't worry it's not that troublesome, by the way do you know that jenny was actually a physician" said Ray to Ellis who stood still when he heard the news.

" What I thought she was only a receptionist" asked Ellis after recovering from the shock.

" Yeah that's what I thought until I was told by the others that she really is a physician" replied Ray.

Really, how did you get to know about that" asked Ellis realizing something.

" Actually I got into a face with kart of the Raging Dawn, and we end up in a awful state, so they took us to her office" replied Ray while laughing awkwardly.

Ellis nodded before asking Ray another question.

" Now that I have achieved my breakthrough, don't you think it is time we get promoted and join a squad".

" That shouldn't be a problem, as a matter of fact am actually craving for a quest" replied Ray while rubbing his palm to gather.

" Hahaha, tell me my friend when last did you go on a quest for you to be anticipating on going on a quest" asked Ellis while laughing.

" You have no idea my friend, all I do all day since you went on seclusion is either sparing or going to the pub to get a drink" replied Ray while counting his fingers.

" I can testify to that considering the smell of liquor coming from that mouth of yours" said Ellis while waving his hand over is nose.

Ray and Ellis discuss along the way until the get to their resident calling it a day, Ray went to his bed to see while Ellis went into the garden to meditate and stabilized his realm. And later in the morning they both went to the hunter guild.

Seeing Ray walking into the guild with Ellis, jenny smiled and wave at them.

" Hello Ellis long time no see" said jenny with a smile on her face.

" Hey jenny how is it going" replied Ellis while resting his arms on The counter.

" Good and congratulations on successfully breaking through into the foundation realm" said jenny with a smile.

" Thank you jenny" replied Ellis.

" You are welcome. Now back to business, how can I be of a service to you? Asked jenny.

" Actually we are here to request for a promotion" replied Ray.

" Oh so now you are ready for a promotion" asked jenny with a chuckle while looking at Ray.

" Of course, who doesn't want to be promoted" replied Ray.

" Okay I heard you, so tell me which squad do you two plan to have decided to join after your promotion" asked jenny with a smile.

" Isn't it obvious" said Ray with a smile.

Oh so you are thinking of joining the Raging Dawn are you" replied jenny.

While Ellis was in seclusion, Ray has been mingling with Gray and the Raging Dawn, so it is easy to tell that they will end up in the Raging Dawn squad. Taking their tags from them, jenny deducted the required contribution point needed for their promotion before handling it back to them.

" And it's done" said jenny while giving them their tags along with a star medal.

" Wait you are done just like that? Asked Ray while looking at the medal.

" What part of the word done did you not understand" replied Ellis while looking at Ray like a fool.

Before Ray could talk back to Ellis, jenny said before walking out of the receptionist office.
