Seeing the state that they were in, the announcer order for them to be taken to the guild physician.
" Ha, now I have more than enough contribution points to provide for my financial needs, thank the good heavens that I came to watch today's battle" said Gray who was filled with joy as he matched towards the bet stand.
Those that bet on Ray wining gladly went to the bet stand to claim their points while the other begin to complain.
" I really need to thank that kid" said Gray while walking out of the bet stand.
Meanwhile, in the physician room, Ray and kart were being place on the patient bed while waiting for the physician to attend to their wound. Although before Ray was carried to the room, he had already taken an advance health potion so the pain he was going through was to lessen.
After sometime, the physician came in and surprisingly the physician they were waiting for was actually jenny.
" Haha look how messed up you are" said jenny with a laugh the moment she saw Ray laying on a bed.
" Jenny what are you doing here" asked Ray.
" What else if not to treat the wounded" replied jenny.
" What, are you actually the physician we have been waiting for" asked Ray in shock.
" Hahaha, just because I always stay on the receptionist office does not mean I can't take another work" replied Jenny.
Unable to believe the fact that jenny was actually a physician, Ray turned to the hunter that brought him to the room and asked if what she's saying is true only for him to see him nod his head in reply.
Jenny chuckle and walk to the bed that kart was laying on and begin to examine his body. Seeing that jenny us going ahead to treat kart first instead of him, Ray called at to jenny.
" Hey jenny don't you treat me first or can't you see that am in pain"
" Shut up will you, I can tell you are already recovery without checking on you unlike him who seem to be in the brink of death" replied jenny while rolling her eyes at Ray.

Jenny started treatment with kart and after some hours of treatment, kart wounds were finally healed. Taking a deep breath, jenny headed to Ray's bed looking at his burnt body, jenny couldn't help but say with a laugh.
" Wish Ellis was he to see you laying like that in the bed"
" He has seen me in worst cases, so this is nothing" replied Ray while raising his head to look at jenny.
" There is nothing much left for me to do here since you have almost recovered" said jenny while getting up from the bed.
" Great, so can I go home now" said Ray while getting up.
Pushing him back into the bed jenny said with a frown.
" Can't you just lay down and recover before leaving".
" You said it yourself didn't you, so what's the point of staying in here. By the way how am I going to claim my points for the bet that I won if I am staying here" replied Ray still trying to get up.
" Just lay down I will go get it for you, just hand me your tag" said jenny before walking out of the room and after a while she came back throwing the tag at Ray before walking out of the room again.
After waiting for some hours in boredom for his body to heal, Ray walked out of the guild and headed to the pub to drink. Walking into the pub, Ray stood his sit and was just about to call the bartender over when someone places a hand on his shoulder. Turning his head to look at who it was, Ray could only smile at the man.
" What are you doing here" asked Ray.
" Hahaha, to celebrate with the boys" replied Gary while taking a sit with his squad members.
" Celebrate, what's the occasion" asked Ray.
" Boss actually win big today due to the match you had with kart" replied a Hunter.
Yeah that's right I won big this time around, so I decided to have a drink with the boys, and where is that friend of yours added Gary while looking around in search for Ellis.
" He's busy with stuff, so I had to help myself out with some drinks" replied Ray.
Gary nodded before yelling for the bar attender to get them some good wine. And before long their table was filled with wine.

Taking a drink, Gray turned to Ray who was busy drinking his wine and asked.
" So have you made up your mind about joining the Raging Dawn".
" Yeah and won't be joining anytime soon" replied Ray.
" I don't want it to seem as if I am forcing you, so I will leave you to decide but if you go ahead and join the moon breeze squad than you will have to deal with me" said Gray in a serious look.
" You don't have to worry about me joining that squad, so you can be at ease" replied Ray with a smile on his face.
" All right since it's settled them, let's drink to our heart content" said Gray while turning his drink.
They drank until they became drunk to the stage where they begin to tell stories about their adventures. After drinking still midnight the group decided to leave the pub with Ray been left behind.
Taking his last drink, Ray went home to sleep and before going to sleep he looked at the door that lead to the garden before swaggering to his room.
Ray continued with this circle of life, going to the arena to battle than having a chat with jenny before going to the pub to drink.
After countless battle, Ray was able to hold a strong place in the area. Six months later, Ray was heading home from the pub when he heard the sound of lightening rumbling in the distance.
" Isn't that a lightening tribulation, wait Ellis should be the cause of the lightening" Ray muttered to himself before picking up his pace. Running toward their resident, Ray was just about to run in when he received a notification from the system.
* Ding*
[Host is about to step into the range covered by the heaven tribulation]
Hitting his head, Ray said out loud.
" Ah I almost forgot that if I were to get close the lightening will intensify making it difficult for Ellis to successfully breakthrough".
Sitting on the ground, Ray begins to look at the lightening gathering above where the garden was located. Seeing this, Ray couldn't help but yelled.
" Is Ellis really that stupid, where are we going to stay if the building was destroyed while facing his tribulation".
Meanwhile, inside the garden, Ellis whose eyes were close suddenly opened. Getting up from his meditation, Ellis look up before saying.
" There is still time before the tribulation begins".
Taking a deep breath, Ellis place the dragon pearl and earth core back into the ring before walking out of the garden into the room. Looking around to see if Ray was around only to discover the place was completely quiet.
" Looks like that idiot has already gone out to cause trouble" said Ellis with a smile before walking out of the resident.
Walking out of the house Ellis was just about to head outside the city to face his tribulation only to see someone sitting on the ground in the distance. Ellis was shock to see that Ray was actually waiting outside for Him to complete his tribulation.
Seeing that Ellis has finally come out of the building, Ray yelled at Ellis from afar.
" Are you planning on destroying the building, get out of there now".
" Why do you think I came out if I want to destroy the building I would have still inside" replied Ellis before running towards the city exist? The moment Ellis moved from the building, the lightening also move following Ellis from above like it was giving chase.
Following Ellis from behind Ray was making sure that he is not in the range of the tribulation, Ray was about to find a tress in the forest where Ellis plan to attempt his breakthrough.
" Here is a pill that will help you in your breakthrough" said Ray while throwing the remaining foundation realm pills at Ellis who was about to sit down and prepare for his tribulation.
Catching the pills that were heading his way, Ellis begin to analyze the pill and was a shock to see that they were filled with energy. Placing two pills into his mouth, Ellis felt an abundance of spiritual energy flowing all over his body. Taking the opportunity provided by the pill, Ellis begin to drive his cultivation to the fullest and that when the lightening in the sky rumbled once more before descending towards Ellis.

Journey West 5000

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
