Unable to hold his rage back, Gray turned back living the group and headed for the moon breeze squad members before saying.

" Forget about what you have heard about our squad and have a battle with me lets see who is going to lose his life" said Gray while staring at the moon breeze squad.

" Enough of all the hyping Gray if you really want to get your ass beaten so badly, I don't mind getting my hands dirty, but you see am kind of busy so maybe next time" replied the leader of the moon breeze squad.

" Finding an excuse from getting rough up are we Brad" said Gray with a smile in his face.

" The members of the Raging Dawn squad are getting arrogant lately, an ordinary member with no rank talking to a vice captain in that manner" replied Brad

" You may be a vice captain for all I care, but you can never change the fact that am stronger than you" said Gray before returning to his group.

Brad stood there while looking at Gray in anger and after sometimes he left with his group. Seeing them leaving, Ray turns to the Gray and asked.

" Who are those guys and why are they picking on you"

" they are members of the moon breeze squad and that man leading them is the vice captain of the moon breeze squad" replied Gray.

" They are the rival of the Raging Dawn squad" added someone from the group.

" What, those guys are actually from the popular moon breeze sect that I have been hearing about" asked Ellis with a shocking look.

" there you have it lad the members of the mighty squad" reply a hunter .

" well they don't look like they are from a renowned squad" said Ray whole looking at them as they walk at of sight.

" you don't judge an expert by appearance or attitude boy" reply another hunter that was walking ahead of them.

Nodding in approval to what the hunter said, Ray was just about to asked them a few questions concerning the moon breeze squad but was when Gray interrupted him.

" Enough with the moon breeze squad, let's go turn in the orb and collect our reward" said Gray while walking into the guild.

Seeing that the group that take on the C Rank quest are back, the hunters became excited especially those that are friends with some hunter and seeing that the numbers that return were few unlike when they went ledt for the mission.

" wow, looks like the Raging Dawn squad really live up to their reputation" said a hunter from the crowd.

" Yeah, they left with ten men to complete the tax but now only eight of them came back" replied another hunter.

" Looks like the squad is still cursed, there is no way am joining the Raging Dawn when I gain promotion"said another hunter.

" Hahaha old friend why bother joining the Raging Dawn, don't you know that the Raging Dawn is a place met for your enemies to die with lot of regrets" replied another hunter.

Heading straight to jenny counter while ignoring the words that are going around. When Gray got to the counter, he took the orb out of the storage ring before giving it to her.

Jenny begins to examine the orb and after confirming that it was not a fake, jenny turn to them with a smile on her face before say.

" Well done for completing the quest, please hand over your for recording" said jenny with a welcoming smile on her face.

Handing their tags to her, the group waited for her to record their contribution point before handling them back to them.

After receiving their tags, the group begin to leave until Ellis and Ray were the only ones that were left behind.

" So how was the quest" asked jenny while looking at Ellis with a smile on her face.

" Well let's just say it was really challenging and Ray was able to break through into the foundation realm" replied Ellis.

" Wow, congrats Ray. So now that you are a foundation realm expert when do plan on requesting for a promotion" asked jenny.

" Don't know yet, I plan to do so but that will be when my pal here is also in the foundation realm" said Ray.

" Do you have to say that for everyone to hear" replied Ellis with a red face.

" Hey am just making it clear that am not leaving you behind" said Ray with a smile on his face.

And that's how they started arguing with each other and seeing this, jenny couldn't help but say.

" Here they go again, arguing like kids" said jenny by the side with a chuckle before adding.

" I think you guys should head home and get some rest so that you will have enough energy to do some quest tomorrow instead of arguing all day like children"

When they heard what jenny said, they stop arguing and nodded in agreement since they have not been able to have a good rest in the forest. They chatted with jenny for a while before going home to sleep.

The next day after waking up from sleep, they both went back to the guild to see if there is any interesting quest to do for the day only to be disappointed.

" All the quest here are either too difficult to take or not worth our time, so why don't we go back to the swampy lake" asked Ray with a smile.

Ellis sigh before turning to face the entrance.

" Oh well, since there is nothing to do am going to the pub to get some drink" said Ellis.

" what's wrong with you, don't you want to get stronger. Since we have nothing doing at the moment, I think it is better we just head there instead of going to the pub to get drunk" replied Ray while holding Ray back.

Walking out of the guild they made their way back to the swampy lake. Taking the path they took when they first came into the forest the were able to get to the other side where they were attack by the snake tribe only to discover the place was devoid of any life force.

Turning around to look at the place, Ray couldn't help but asked.

" Hey Ellis are you sure we are in the right place".

" Was there another way crossing the lake apart from traveling via the trees" replied Ellis.

" if we are truly in the right place, then can you explain the fact that we have not been able to see any snake beast not to talk about being attack by those snake men" said Ray.

" It's possible that they move out to occupy another part of the land" replied Ellis while looking around the place in search of a clue.

" Hey Ellis come take a look at this" said Ray who was squatting by the side while looking at the muddy ground.

Walking up close Ellis was able to see what Ray was looking at which was no other than a shaded skin on the ground.

" This was done by a member of the snake tribe not quite Long ago" said Ellis while picking the skin from the ground.

" So now what should we do" asked Ray while looking at Ellis who was busy looking at the skin.

" What else can we do other than to look for their track in the area" Ellis replied to Ray question.

And that's how they begin to look for the snake beast tracks that will lead then to the snake tribe only for them to find it difficult to locate and the worst part of it is that, there are also track from other beast in the area that are mixed together making it difficult to recognize the tracks.

Being under to locate any track, Ray was becoming tired of the endless search turned to Ellis and said.

" Maybe they were chased away by a powerful beast or human" Ray said while looking around.

When Ellis heard what Ray said, he shook his head and sigh before saying.

" Hey can you search for their track and think less with that empty brain of yours. And besides did you see any track belonging to a human".

" Am just saying since it could be possible that they left due to an attack from a human hunter" said Ray with a serious look.

" Okay so tell me, where did see a human track " asked Ellis.

Ray kept quiet and continue to look for track ignoring Ellis question.

" And now he's ignoring the question" said Ellis with a smile on his face before walking up to Ray and said.

" by the way, don't you think being promoted would be better for us even if we dont join any squad"

" there must be a benefit in joining a squad and by the way I kind of like the Raging Dawn squad. With what others are saying, they only take on difficult quest" replied Ray.

Regretting why he brought that up, Ellis decided to put that decision at the back of his mind until they are done with their quest.
