Chasing after the two middle age men all the way from Hiepia empire to the forest.

" What's the problem, I thought you said we ain't a match for you two. Why are you running now" said Gray while chasing after them.

Instead of answering to gray, the middle age man only chuckle as he continues to run alongside his counterpart.

" Something is not right here said Ellis when he saw the way the two men are acting.

" What is it Ellis" asked Ray seeing the look in Ellis face.

" Remember back in the swampy lake that hood man said there are other two members apart from Jerald that have yet to return to the inn" replied Ellis while contemplating.

" Yes and what about that" asked Ray who seem to not understand what Ellis is driving at.

" If am not mistaking, this two we are chasing after are definitely the ones that sent the message" said Ellis, but before he could complete what he was about to say, Ray interrupted him.

" In other words, the other two members are yet to return to the Inn, and it is likely that we are being followed by them in the shadows waiting to take us out whenever we let our guide down".

" Exactly, looks like you finally have brains to think also, but next time don't interrupt me whenever I am saying something" replied Ellis.

" So now what are we going to do" asked Ray.

" There is no way this people are going to listen to us since they are stronger than us, so let's just play it safe" replied Ellis.

During the chase, Ellis and Ray decided to follow the team from behind while running at a slow pace. Seeing that the two hunter apprentice are falling behind, and it will be a matter of time before they are left alone, gray called for them to move faster before continuing the chase.

After running deep into the forest they suddenly stop running and turned to face the group of hunters that are chasing after them. Seeing that they have finally decided to stand and fight, the group of hunters also stop while looking at the two men opposite them.

" Now this is the best place to battle don't you think, free from the trouble of more people getting involved" said the middle age man that's a little of a talkative with a crude smile on his face.

Noticing the change of attitude, Gray decided to hold back and observe before attacking. Meanwhile, among the team of hunters Ellis and Ray were busy looking around the forest instead of the two men that were in front of them like they are not worth worrying about.

" This is not going to end well" Ellis mumble to himself.

" What's the matter boy, you scared" said the middle age man to Gray while still having the crude smile in his face like he is going to do something the moment they make a move.

" And who are you calling a boy replied the angry Gray before raising his spear and dash at the middle-aged man.

Seeing that Gray has to charge ahead, the rest of the team also charged in including Ellis and Ray who has been on guard the moment they noticed the abnormality. The middle age man smile widen when he saw the team charging at them before raising his hand in the air and snap. The next thing the group saw was two heads flying towards the middle age man before falling at his feet.

The team stop in their track and turned to look around only to see two headless bodies fall to the ground.

" Hahaha, now that's more like it" said the middle age man who seem to be enjoying himself.

" You bastard" yelled the furious Gray while running at the middle age man, but before he could reach a blade came out of nowhere and thrust at him, but his quick reaction he was able to avoid taking a serious injured.

Gray regroup with the team after the attack and if you were to look at his shoulder, you will discover a deep cut. Ignoring the pain Gray began to observe their surrounding.

" We are being surrounded" said Gray to the team and the reaction they gave was not the one of surprised after seeing how they lost of their men that were not weaker than them.

" The possibility of us walking out of this forest alive is very slim if we were to charge at them recklessly" said someone from the team.

Turning to look at who said those word, Gray discovered that it was the fat apprentice that has been against the ideal of his friend joint the hunters for the quest. Looking at Ellis Gray suddenly remember that the moment they head into the forest, the two of them have been acting awkwardly like they knew what is going on.

Gray walk up to Ellis before saying.

" Okay why don't you spit it out"

" When we came in contact with the ring, the information we received was that two other members of their group have still not arrived but will eventually turn up today and since those two were the only ones we saw at the inn, it is likely the other two had no arrived" replied Ellis.

" Since you know more about them why didn't you say so from the beginning" yelled someone from the team.

" If we were to say something, would you have bothered listening to us apprentice" replied Ray.

" So you are saying there are other two members lacking around the area" asked Gray to Ellis.

Ellis nodded in reply to Gray in question before turning to look at their surrounding.

" You knew all this while and kept silent, just wait until we reach the guild" said a hunter in anger.

" Will you shut up for once" yelled Gray at the hunter.

" Looks like there is an infighting among the hunters" chuckle the middle age man.
