In the morning after attending to their needs, Ray and Ellis went to the hunter guild to check in on a quest that is available for hunters apprentice but when they got there, they discovered that the guild was crowded and by the quest board there was already a queue of hunters waiting for their turn to select a quest.

" What's this, how are we supposed to take a quest when there are just too many of them," said Ray.

" I knew we should have to be here on time" replied Ellis.

" So you knew this would happen eh," asked Ray in anger while staring at Ellis angrily.

" Who in this world didn't know that the hunter guild is always filled with hunters taking missions in the morning" replied Ellis.

" Since you already know that it will be filled in the morning, then why didn't you informed me so that we would be here on time," said Ray to Ellis.

" That's because I needed a good rest" replied Ellis while scratching his head in embarrassment.

Ray became lost in words when he heard Ellis replied. Choosing to ignore Ellis, Ray began to look at those that are selecting the quest of their choice and that's when he discovered that the majority of those that are standing by the quest board are hunters apprentice with few hunters. After waiting for a whole hour it was finally their turn to take on a mission.

Looking at the board Ellis was shocked to see that the only quest available are Rank D and the reward that is being offered are very small and the highest reward have to be thirty contribution points.

Picking the quest with the highest reward happened to be getting the core of a mystic beast, Ray and Ellis went to the receptionist and of information about the mystic beast and after getting enough information on the beast and where to find them.

Leaving the guild, they went outside the empire and travel east where a dense forest was located.

" If the information about the beast been found in Eastern Gerbil Woodland is correct, then we will be able to go back to the guild by nightfall to submit the core before going home," said Ray in anticipation.

" Looks like you have forgotten about the information that mentions the beast to be a speed specialist. So forget about going back today" replied Ellis in all seriousness.

" You don't have to worry yourself about for am very fast myself too," said Ray.

Ellis shook his head helplessly before leading the way into the forest, they began the search for the beast, and they're seen to be no sight of it anywhere in the forest, and before they knew, it is already nighttime and there was still a sign of the beast.

" Hey let's rest for the night," said Ray before sitting on the ground while resting his back on a tree.

Ellis also went to take a sit by a tree to rest.

" Who could have thought that looking for a beast will be this difficult" complain, Ray, while messing with his hair.

" I told you it won't be easy" replied Ellis while laughing at the miserable.

" So what should we do since we can't find the beast," asked Ray.

" What each can we do in order than to complete the quest" replied Ellis.

Ellis was just about to lay on the ground and sleep when he heard the sound of something stepping on dry leaves.

" What is it, asked Ray when he saw Ellis suspend.

" Shaaa, I think I heard something," said Ellis in a low voice.

Shutting his mouth, Ray began to pay attention and that's when he also should the sound of something walking on top of the grass.

" Do you think it a beast?" asked ray in a low voice.

" Of course is a beast which human will be hunting at this time of the day" replied Ellis.

The sound was getting loud and that's when they notice a beast within fifty meters from them was digging the ground. When Ellis saw the beast, he couldn't help but smile before telling Ray to keep watch of the beast while he takes another route to give chase and lead it to Ray's hiding place. Taking his leave Ellis left Ray and after waiting for some minutes, Ray saw began to hear the sound of footsteps heading his way, lifting his head to see what is going on. He saw the beast running in his direction at an incredible speed while far behind the beast was Ellis giving chase and seem to be out of breath.

" It's heading your way" yelled Ellis while panting like mad.

Waiting for the beast to get close enough, Ray jumps out of his hiding in the hope of catching the beast only to grab the air. Missing his target, Ray took out his blade and begin to give chase. Sending wind slash after wind slash to catch it off balance only for the beast to nimbly dodge the wind attack.

They continue giving chase and after running for some hours they were able to catch the beast, Before they were able to catch it was already dawn. After proclaiming the beast core, they headed back to the guild to submit the core and

after which the accumulated point were transferred to their tag. after receiving their reward, they went to the pub to get drunk before going back home to sleep.
