Looking at the sky, Ellis began to think of what to do since they are no longer in the clan.

" What are we supposed to do now," asked Ray while looking at Ellis, he knew what he was thinking.

" Let just rest for today, tomorrow we'll talk about that" replied Ellis before closing his eyes.

After sleeping off, Ray sat down for some time before also following asleep. The next day Ellis woke up with an empty stomach looking around if he could find anything to eat. Seeing that there was nothing to eat he went to wake Ray from his sleep.

" What is it this time around," asked Ray with a sleepy eye.

" Am hungry Ray, let us go outside to get some time to eat" replied Ellis.

Ray was stun to hear the reason why he was woken up was because of food couldn't help but close his eye and continue his sleep. Seeing that Ray was ignoring him, he began to shake him hard until he was no longer able to take it any more suddenly got up in frustration.

" Okay fine, but how are we going to hide from the bandit, or are you saying they are still in the forest," asked Ray.

" Didn't you say you rented this place for just a night" replied Ellis in question.

" Yes and so," asked Ray in confusion.

" Then why don't we send him to help us out and as long as you can pay him it won't be a problem" replied Ellis.

" Then let us wait for his arrival," said Ray before falling back to sleep.

They waited for some time before the owner of the stable came and went to get them something to eat.

After eating their fill, Ray asked Ellis.

" If we continue like this it won't be long before we run out of money"

" I know which is why I have decided to purchase a small plot of land here, where we will be staying until we are strong enough to return to the clan" replied Ellis.

" And where are we going to get that amount of money to buy a plot of land," asked ray.

" That won't be a problem" replied Ellis while waving his arm for Ray to see his storage ring.

After their chat they begin to wait for the stable owner to arrive and later in the afternoon, he came rushing into the stable with excitement. Ellis quickly asked for the report.

" Sir I was not able to find a land that is for sale, but there was this particular old apartment that was abandoned for three years and after asking around if the land was for sale. And the shocking news is that they are selling the building for five hundred spirits to Stone" said the stable owner.

Taking out the required amount needed, Ellis handed it over to the stable owner before sending him on his way.

" Now that our place of rest has been taken care of, all we need right now is how to provide for the resources needed for our cultivation," said Ellis with a smile.

" Is there any way we can earn money around here?" asked Ray.

" Yeah if you are looking to make money, then opening a stall is the only option unless you are thinking of taking jobs from others" replied Ellis while stroking his chin.

" What kind of job are you talking about, asked Ray while looking at Ellis.

" I say job I mean going on a little mission, like rescue someone of sort" replied Ellis.

" If that's the case then we should go take on some mission," said Ray in excitement.

" Before we can take on any mission, we must become a member of the hunter guild" replied Ellis.

" Why is everything so complicated here" complained Ray on how this world was so different from earth.

" So how do we become members of the hunter guild," asked Ray after calming down.

" Easy, we just have to visit the guide and apply for a membership, and we'll be given our rank according to our cultivation stage" replied Ellis.

" Before we head out to the hunter guild we have to make some changes so that those from the straw bandit won't be able to recognize us added Ellis.

Taking out some clothes from his storage ring, Ellis gave Ray to hear and put on the other before taking Ray's blade and cut his hair down before handing it over to Ray to do the same. After getting rid of their hair, their appearance altered a little.

In the evening the stable owner brought them to their new resident before leaving. Taking a look at the place, they discover that the place was not big and there was only two room which could only fit seven people and there is a garden at the back of the apartment.

" It's more than enough to accommodate the both of us," said Ellis with a satisfied look on his face.

After getting into rest, in the morning they went to look for the location of the hunter guild, and it didn't take long before they were able to find it. When Ray saw how massive the guild was he became shocked, unlike Ellis who has seen more.

Before they could walk to the guild entrance, they saw some young and middle-aged men and women coming out of the guild while wearing some kind of uniform. Some of them have two glittering stars attached to the breast pocket of the uniform while some have only one star.

" Those are members of the hunter guild. You see that young man over there with a two-star medal attached to his uniform, he is a two-star hunter" said Ellis while pointing at a young man who was talking to a lady beside him.

" They are more like the law themselves" replied Ray.

" Yeah and the more rank you have the more quest that will be available for you to access," said Ellis.
