After killing the gnurx king, commander Derrick went back to assist his men but on getting there, he discovered that Edward and jack were able to deal with the gnurx on their own. Though they were injured but not to the stage of losing one's life giving them a hand they were able to kill the gnurx that were attacking them.

After the death of their king, the gnurx army lost the will to fight and scattered around the place running for their life. Some were killed during their escape.

Seem like the warberry cave will be safe for the now," said Jack with a chuckle.

" How are your injuries," asked, commander Derrick.

" Very bad but I think we'll live" replied Edward.

" What about the young master and his group" asked commander Derrick.

" Haven't seen them since the beginning of the battle, you don't have to be worried about his safety" replied jack.

" Jack is right, with his maid and vice-captain Veronica by his side it won't be easy to take his life" added Edward.

" Come on let's go meet up with his group," said commander Derrick before keeping his blade and started walking towards the north and if any gnurx was seen will be dealt with.

Along the way, they could see the body of their comrades laying on the ground lifeless. After searching for some time they were able to regroup with Ellis and what they saw left them in shock.

For among the group standing with Ellis was Ray who was releasing the aura of a QI refining 9 stage.

" I can swear that the young man standing next to young master Ellis was only at 8 stages when we left them not too long ago," said Edward while looking at Ray in shock.

" What kind of cultivation technique did he practice" asked jack

" Who knows" replied commander Derrick.

Ignoring his men, commander Derrick walk over to Ellis and asked. " How are things over here".

" Good though a lot of gnurx were able to escape, and we lost a few of our men during the fight" replied Ellis while gritting his teeth.

Since they regroup with Ellis, commander Derrick has been able to notice anything out of the ordinary due to their attention being drawn by Ray but when he heard what Ellis said he couldn't help but to turn around and look at their group, and he was shocked to see that out of the fifty men that came with them, only ten were remaining. Taking a deep breath, commander Derrick pats Ellis on his shoulder before say.

" Is not your fault that they are all dead".

" Hey, kid, how come you were able to boost your cultivation stage one level ahead," asked Edward while looking at Ray.

" I don't know what you're talking about" replied Ray while ignoring Edward.

Looks like it's all over," said Ellis.

" Yes young master Ellis, the gnurx king fell by the hand of commander Derrick, and all that is left are those gnurx goblins that manage to escape, but there is no need to worry since their king is no more they will have to keep a low profile" replied jack.

" Look like it's time for me to return to the clan then," said Ellis who seen to be happy that he will be returning to the clan.

" Oh, young master you are forgetting about the reward you promise the workers for defending the cave" Ray whispered to Ellis's ears.

" How could I have forgotten about such an important matter" replied Ellis while waving at Ray not to worry about it.

Vice-captain Veronica sent some men to check the nest if they could find any treasure while they wait for captain Mavis and his troops to return. And after turning the whole place upside down the troops were able to return with some spiritual herbs that are still in the mortal realm but seen as useful to those that are in the QI refining stage. They also came with some weapons.

After waiting for captain Mavis to return, they all went back to the cave where they spend the night to regain their strength but commander Derrick and his men left the moment they reach the cave saying that they have to report to the clan head.

Ellis called josh over before departing to write down the names of those that lose their lives in the battle, and it didn't take long before josh came back with a list of names carved in an old paper. After receiving the names, Ellis order a kate to give them a storage ring that was filled with one thousand and fifty spirit stone of the lower tier.

" Share this among yourselves," said Ellis.

" Thank you young master" josh kneels on the ground and bow wholeheartedly to Ellis.

" Please get up josh, I should be the one thanking you guys, cause you all were the reason we were able to defend warberry cave until the arrival of captain Marvis" replied Ellis with a smile on his face.

Getting up from the ground, josh bow once again before leaving Ellis's room to look for the others and distribute the reward.

" Hey since you are giving out rewards to those that fight along with you, when am I getting my share," asked Ray with an awkward laugh.

" Scram you, do you think you will be receiving any" replied Ellis.

" But am not the one that said he will be giving out rewards if we get out of the fight alive" complain Ray

" I was saying that to the workers to motivate them, stop acting like you don't know," said Ellis.

" But you didn't make it clear to us , come on Kate, Maria don't you want your share of the reward" replied Ray while turning to Kate and Maria for backup.

" You little scoundrel there is no way you will be getting any reward from me" curse Ellis.

" Come on guys say something," said Ray while looking at Kate and Maria

But they did not reply to Ray and instead decided to walk ahead of them both. Seeing that the maids were ahead of them, they decided to put their argument on hold for now and follow them from behind.
