Heavenly Monarch Chapter 20

With no other choice, Ellis charges forward to intercept the gnurx and give his men the will to fight only to see them running cowardly deep inside the cave leaving him and Ray all alone in the entrance.
" Ain't you going to leave too," asked Ellis from the shock of seeing Ray still wanting to fight even though the odds are against them.
" What is the need for me to run, if i am going to die then I would love to do so ahile taking some of them together to the afterlife" replied Ray while tightening his grip over his blades.
" It warms my heart to know a friend who will keep me company in the afterlife," said Ellis while wiping the tears from his eyes.
" What are you talking about, how many times should I make it clear to you that there is no way I am dying together with you" replied Ray.
" By why don't you asked Maria and Kate to give us a hand," asked Ray.
" I can't do that" replied Ellis while shaking his head in disapproval.
"What is the use of keeping to the clan rule if you are going to die anyway," asked Ray in an annoyed tone.
" Fine but only if they are nothing we can do" replied Ellis before remembering something by the way, earlier when we were battling the gnurx you use a technique that seen to be effective against the gnurx"
" Oh you mean wind slash, there is a limit to how much I can utilize it" replied Ray while looking at the gnurx that are forcing their way into the cave.
" But with your recent breakthrough it should be easy to deal some damage and weaken their force," said Ellis.

" What, how did you know I break through during the fight," asked the shocked Ray.
" It not that difficult to know even a blind man could tell" replied Ellis while laughing.
" I will give it a try, and you should also do the same. I don't believe that a man of your caliber won't have any card to play at this time" said Ray.
" Haha, well said my friend if it comes to that I don't mind using all my strength and stamina to deliver a heavy blow to them" replied Ellis while robbing his fist.
Nodding to Ellis's word, Ray decided to use his wind slash to slow the gnurx movement by killing those in the front line while piling their bodies to slow their advancement while killing them little by little.
After countless successful use of the wind slash and use of Mana potion, it didn't take long before Ray ran out of potion and Mana. Left with no other alternative to attacking the gnurx he could only turn to face Ellis.
" Step aside," said Ellis before walking forward while pulling his sleeve upward reviewing his muscle in the process.
" Guess I have no other choice" taking a deep breath, Ellis took a battle stance with his eyes closed while tightening his fist under his abdomen and he began to lose weight like someone who has been starving for a year's, but his fist was saying a different story.
It felt like all the energy in Ellis's body are being drained into the fist. After gathering enough energy, Ellis draws his hand back before throwing his fist forward before yelling.
" MIGHTY LION FURY"
What came out of the fist when it was thrown forward was a gigantic lion head that was made from the spiritual energy in Ellis's body. The gigantic lion head flew toward the Army of gnurx and went through them but nothing happens.

Seeing this, Ray couldn't help but ask in shock.
" Is that it" but before he could finish his word, he heard Ellis's voice but this time it was really weak.
" EXPLODE" Said Ellis when the gigantic lion head was within the middle of the army and the lion's head explode while taking the lives of countless gnurx but the gnurx was not the only one that was in a dire situation, for the moment the lion's head exposed Ellis fell on the floor and was unable to stand up.
Seeing this, Ray was surprised to see that the weak-looking meatball was able to perform a powerful technique that almost took the life of an army but was shocked to see Ellis falling to the ground while trying to catch his breath.

[completion rate: 80℅]
"What the hell, he was able to get the completion rate to eighty percent. How which I still have Mana potion then completing the mission won't be difficult" thought Ray when he received the mission update from the system.
Bending down to Ellis, Ray took out an advanced health potion and fed it to him, and wait for him to gain some strength to stand before asking.
" Since we have already tried our best, and it's still not enough, don't you think it's time to order your maids to end this".
" Uh" nodded Ellis before ordering Maria to put an end to the gnurx, and it didn't take long for Maria to kill the gnurx warrior before slaying the remaining army.
The moment Maria slayed the Army, Ray suddenly got a notification from the system.

" Yes" reply Ray before turning to Ellis and asked.
" Hey Ellis, during the fight with the gnurx I realized how unskill when it comes to fighting with the blade. So I was just wondering if it will be possible for Maria to teach me some moves".
" I don't know about that, but if you want to learn the way of the sword I would say you should ask her yourself" replied Ellis before sitting down to meditate and calm himself.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
