As the two women busied themselves in the kitchen, they chatted about fun things.

Not long, the food was ready. Chen Lihua dished the food and Chynna served it with some a table of water per Chen Lihua's instruction.

"Mmmm... so yummy!." Chynna said after taking the first bite from the food.

"Of course it's yummy, I cooked it." Chen Lihua retorted with a smile.

"I like this. You really have to come to my house more often to cook for me." Chynna said as she sent another spoonful of food into her mouth.

"Do I look like a chef to you? You should ask me how many times I cook in my house. You should be lucky I came to make your lunch." Chen Lihua said as she put some food in her mouth.

"I know you love me the most, so you will cook delicious food for me," Chynna said with a smile.

"I like your confidence. Now, please eat your food obediently and stop talking." Chen Lihua said to her.

Chynna really stopped talking as she decided to eat her food. She discovered she has been wasting time talking, instead of eating the delicious food Chen Lihua prepared.

Now discovering it was more enjoyable to eat without talking, she chose to enjoy the food.

After eating, Chen Lihua helped Chynna to do the dishes before going to sit in the living room with her.

"We have a reunion dinner with our course mates next month, you should come." Chen Lihua said with her gaze on Chynna.

"Reunion dinner?. I'm not coming." Chynna said with a frown.

"Why won't you come? We all graduated from the same high school. Come on, you have to go there with me." Chen Lihua said as she grabbed her hand.

"Lihua, I really can't go there! You remember that I have been shut out for half more than half of my life, so I can't go there with you. What do you think they will say when they see me? All their attention would be on me, and you know what they will be thinking? They will be wondering why a crazy person like me whom they haven't seen for a long time, graced their occasion." Chynna revealed her deepest worry about the reunion dinner.

"Chynna, should you be wondering what they will think about you? They knew you were locked up in the mental asylum, but they never knew when you got better and was released because you have been living your life quietly. You don't have to be worried about their thought because actually, they have the right to think whatever they want." Chen Lihua said as she patted her palm.

"But still, Lihua, I don't want to go with you. I'm still afraid of meeting the crowd. I don't want that attention on me." Chynna whined.

"Everything is going to be okay. I just want to show you off in front of everybody. I really don't like such social gatherings, and I don't attend most of them. But my going to this year's reunion, is to announce your presence. So, are you coming with me?." Chen Lihua asked.

Chynna felt helpless, but she still gave a response. "Just give me some time to think about it."

"Okay. I need to speak with your coaches to know your progress. As for your housekeeper, when did you say she will be back?" Chen Lihua asked.

"Maybe tomorrow or next, she took a sick leave. What, are you worried that I'm not going to be feeding fine? Then come and cook for me till my housekeeper returns!." Chynna said as her eyes alone brightly.

"You are dreaming. Make sure to order takeouts from the restaurant I suggested to you the other time. They have food, so you don't have an excuse not to eat well." Chen Lihua said to her.

"Bur their food is expensive. I can feel your pockets bleeding." Chynna said with a worried look.

"Do you know how rich I am? Even if I don't have money, I have rich relatives around me, so why do you have to worry about my money? You should learn to spend the money I give you, and that way, I will be very happy." Chen Lihua said as she squeezed her palms.

"Okay, Ma'am, thank you for reminding me how rich you are. I will make good use of the opportunity." Chynna said with a smile.

"That's what I want to hear. Alright, I will be leaving now." Chen Lihua said as she got up and picked up her shoulder bag.

"Okay, thanks for letting me share some of your time with you. And next time, please don't come directly from the hospital, you know I hate the smell of hospitals." Chynna revealed.

"But I tried to mask the scent with a perfume. Didn't it work?." Chen Lihua said as she raised her shirt to smell it.

"How could you hide the scent with a perfume, who told you it would work? You spend half of every day in your life in the hospital, so how do you think you can easily mask the scent?." Chynna asked.

"Okay... okay. I get you. Next time, tell me if you're not comfortable, I can't let you be suffering inside. I have to go now, see you next time, bye." Chen Lihua said as she walked towards her door and opened it.

"Bye," Chynna said before Chen Lihua stepped out of her doors.

The next day after work, Chen Lihua bought an expensive breed of dog and asked someone to send it over to Chynna.

Chen Lihua added a note, and her signature at the end of the note. The note said, "I don't like seeing you alone, so now you have a pet to take care of to stay out of loneliness. I love you."

Chynna was so happy when the puppy was delivered to her. With her little knowledge, she knew it was an expensive dog breed.

She knew Chen Lihua was fond of giving her expensive things, and that was at the same time, useful to her.

Chynna carried the puppy in her arms and walked into the house.

She kissed the forehead of the dog and put it on her lap before taking out her phone to browse on the internet.
