The young man was surprised to see her, but then he smiled and called out, "Mum..."

Lady Chen was shocked to see him, so she stuttered "You... You... Weiyuan?." And with that, she shut the door to his face.

"Mum!." The young man called out as he banged the door. But when he didn't receive a reply, he turned the door handle and surprisingly, the door opened, so he made his way inside with his luggage 🧳.

When he walked into the living room, he didn't see anyone there, so he made himself at home.

A few minutes later, Lady Chen walked into the living room with Chen K by her side.

Weiyuan saw them and smiled as he stood up to greet them. "Dad, Mum?."

"Weiyuan is that you?." Chen K asked as he approached them.

"It's me Dad," Weiyuan said in confirmation.

"After you left with that woman years ago, you decided to come back?." Chen K asked as he sat on the couch with Lady Chen, who had her eyes fixed on Weiyuan.

"Yes, Dad. We thought we lost you, but then we saw the news last year, and that brought us hope." Weiyuan said with a smile on his face.

Weiyuan was handsome and a bit tall. You can see the resemblance of him from Chen K.

"Mum, how are you doing?." He asked Lady Chen.

Lady Chen looked away as she sighed.

"Mum, I know I offended you back then by leaving even when you begged me not to, and for that, I'm so sorry." Weiyuan pleaded.

"I'm not your mother, you know who your mother is." Lady Chen rebuked him.

"You're still my mother even though you didn't birth me. I have always taken you as my mother, and acknowledged you as one since I was little." Weiyuan said to her.

"Did you come back with that woman?." Lady Chen inquired.

Weiyuan didn't expect to be asked this question so soon, so he took a little time before he replied.

"Yes, Mum." He replied humbly because he knew his answer would provoke Lady Chen.

And just like he thought, Lady Chen did get angry.

"Tsk...tsk. Chen K, I'm going to see my daughter. You can stay and entertain him for as long as he wants to stay." Lady Chen said as she glanced at the luggage beside him.

Then she stood up and walked out, ignoring Weiyuan's call.

"That's alright! You know she wouldn't want to listen to anything you have to say at this point because she is angry." Chen K said to Weiyuan.

Weiyuan sighed before looking back at his father.

"Dad, what do I do to make mum happy?." Weiyuan asked in concern.

"You know the answer, I don't need to spell it out to you. You know she loves you so much, and she was quite disappointed and heartbroken when you decided to leave with your birth mother. After pouring her love on you, you only left her with disappointment. And you are also aware that she hates to hear anything about your birth mother, so don't mention anything about her." Chen K advised.

"But dad is it not possible for these two women to coexist in peace?." Weiyuan asked.

Chen K glared at him. "You know that's impossible. Your mother is my ex, and Ju Ju is my wife. Can you see the reason they would never want to hear about each other?."

"But mum accepted me back then and welcomed me into this house when she learned about me. Now, why can't she accept my birth mother?." Weiyuan inquired.

"You know the answer to that question. Your mother goes about looking for trouble. I don't have time to talk about her." Chen K said in an annoyed tone.

Weiyuan heaven a sigh as he relaxed on the couch.

"How long do you plan to stay in the country, and do you already have a place to stay?." Chen K asked in concern.

After all, this was his son, even though he didn't have him with his wife, so it was natural for him to be concerned about him.

"I plan to stay here, as long mum doesn't chase me away. And, I'm back finally." Weiyuan revealed.

"That's good. What are your plans for the future?." Chen K inquired.

"Dad, we will talk about that later. I heard mum say she was going to see Lihua, how is she? I saw from the news that she is married to Liu Longwei."

This question caused a proud smile to appear on Chen K's face as he disclosed, "Your sister already gave birth over a month ago."

"What?! How come I didn't know about it?." Weiyuan asked.

"How can you know about it when this spectacular news was purposely hidden?." Chen K asked.

"Wow! That's great news. I would love to meet her and congratulate her. We haven't seen, for now, I wonder if she can still recognize me." Weiyuan said as a playful smile appeared on his face.

"Don't even think about it! Lihua still doesn't know you are her stepbrother." Chen K stated.

"What?! Even after so many years, you still kept this news from her?." Weiyuan asked in surprise.

So many things happened that we didn't find the time and the right opportunity to tell her about the real relationship between you two. But don't worry, we will have to tell her soon before she finds out on her own. When your mother (Lady Chen) comes back, we will talk about it.

"Okay, Dad. Which room do I stay in now?."

"Your mother always has the servants clean you and Lihua's every two weeks, so you can go back to your bedroom. Wash up and come down to eat. The servant can tidy your thing up as you eat."

Weiyuan went to check out his room as a servant followed behind him with his luggage. He checked out his room and found out that his things were still in place, just like the same way he left them.

He smiled to himself as he touched a few things, ad his mind traveled down memory lane.

He could tell how much Lady Chen loved him and placed him in her heart.

She still kept his things even though he left years ago.
