Liu Longwei chuckled softly before taking her hands in his.

"Thank you for being the mother of our son!."

"Thank you for being a good husband and a good jealous father." Chen Lihua said to him as she took her hands away from his hold.

Liu Longwei chuckled softly and let her be.

"I'll be right back." Liu Longwei said before walking out of the room.

Chen Lihua glanced at her son with a proud smile on her face. She can never get enough of staring at her child. She was now a proud mother of a cute child.

Chen Lihua made sure he was sleeping properly, before laying her head on the bed and shutting her eyes tiredly.

After being on a call for over thirty minutes, Liu Longwei came back to the room. And by then, his wife and son were already fast asleep.

He checked on his son with a smile on his face, before walking over to Chen Lihua's side. He kissed her forehead and whispered, 'goodnight', before walking to the couch in the room to lay his head.

Even as he lay there, an inconcealable smile could be seen on his face. His wife has given a child, he was now a proud father.

Liu Longwei got up and checked on his wife and child again, before dimming the lights.

He couldn't completely turn off the lights because of the child.

The next morning as the rays of the sun shone in the room brightly, Chen Lihua could be seen still fast asleep.

There were only her and the doctor in the room.

As Chen Lihua slowly opened her eyes, she shielded her eyes with the back of her arms.

"Good morning Mrs. Liu." The doctor greeted them with a smile on her face.

"Good morning doctor." Chen Lihua said in a grungy tone before letting out a yawn.

Next, she seemed to be in a trance as she glanced at her abdomen, before moving her sight to the baby's cot. Then, she sat up in a hurry.

"Doctor, where is my son?." Chen Lihua asked in a tense tone.

"Relax, his father took him out." The doctor replied. "The water for your bath is ready." The doctor added.

Chen Lihua washed up with the help of the doctor and got dressed. But she kept screaming while she was having a bath.

The water used to massage her body, especially her stomach area, was very hot. The water was so hot that it can be used to remove the feathered of a fowl, and even scald the skin of the fowl.

She just gave birth so her body was still hurting, then added to the fact that it was pressed with boiling water.

But the doctor assured her that she would feel better after the bath, and that was true.

After dressing up, Liu Longwei came back into the room.

"Where is my child?." Chen Lihua asked when she saw he returned to the room alone.

"Grandmother is holding him." Liu Longwei assured her.

Hand in hand, they left the room together.

"Our fathers have been waiting for you for a while now. But first of all, you have to eat first." Liu Longwei said to her.

"Won't that be rude of me since they've been waiting for me for a long time?." Chen Lihua asked worriedly.

"No, at all, they will understand. Eat before you go out to meet them unless you want to go hungry for two more hours plus before you have a taste of food.

Chen Liu agreed with him and went ahead to eat first.

She would indeed regret it if she didn't eat before going to join in the conversation which might last for a long time.

Chen Lihua went to have her breakfast before going to the living room to greet her father and father-in-law who came too early in the morning to congratulate her.

Her fathers didn't come empty-handed. They came with a lot of items to congratulate.

Chen Lihua was shocked by the gestures.

'These men know how to throw money away.' She thought.

But wait until you get the shock of your life from your husband this evening 😉

Because the baby was there, they couldn't pop the Champagne 🍾. The noise that came with popping the champagne was too loud for the baby's tender ears.

But Liu Longwei opened the Champagne 🍾 bottle without popping it to produce that noise.

They all cheered as they clinked glasses. Chen Lihua joined them as well, but she didn't get a taste of the wine.

She was breastfeeding, so she really couldn't take that now. And besides, her child was too young. Now, she cared a lot about what enters her stomach, because she had a young one that was suckling.

After chatting for a while, Chen Lihua took her baby and went back into the room.

She needed to breastfeed him, and get him to have his first bath.

Now her baby was cleaned up, the doctor ran some tests on her and the child and announced they were in perfect health.

Just before the doctor left with the nurses, she gave Chen Lihua advice and instructions, and guidelines to follow.

Chen Lihua had nothing to do now, apart from eating, sleeping, looking after her baby, and having a good time of her life.

She was quickly getting used to the fact that she was a mother now.

Liu Longwei contacted a private dietician and a coach to help her get back to her figure after a month of confinement.

After a month, Chen Lihua's body would be more relaxed and the pains of childbirth, reduced or gone. So it would be the perfect time for her.

In the evening around 5:30 PM, Liu Longwei came into the room with a smile on his face.

Chen Lihua who was holding the child in her arms and chatting with him looked up at him with a smile on her face.

"Why do you look so happy, did something good happen?." She asked.

"Yes, something good happened. I have a surprise for you." Liu Longwei said as he came to stand before her.
