The only thing the doctor hopes for, was for Chen Lihua not to experience seizures during the birth of the baby, and end up suffocating him.

So, she gave her magnesium sulfate to prevent her from getting seizures.

At every point, Liu Longwei kept asking questions to know what was given to his wife, and the reason for it, while still watching over her.

Because Chen Lihua was in so much pain, she couldn't even talk or ask questions, so Liu Longwei did the talking for her.

The doctor said to Chen Lihua, "Mrs. Liu, I need you to keep your hands under your laps as support. Don't take your hands off no matter what happens."

Then the doctor turned to one of the nurses to say, "keep track of her blood pressure and the baby's heartbeat. If you notice something amiss alert me immediately."

Chen Lihua's delivery had a very high risk, so they needed to be extremely careful, so nothing goes wrong.

As for asking her to place her hands under her laps, the doctor didn't want her to be tempted to bring her legs down during the birth of her child, due to the pain.

"Mrs. Liu, I need you to push each time you feel the contractions. You can see from the monitor, that your baby is close." The doctor instructed as she pointed out.

Chen Lihua managed to nod in response.

"Good! Mr. Liu, please pass the oxygen mask to her, at least that would help ease the pain from the contraction, a little."

Liu Longwei took the oxygen mask and fixed it for Chen Lihua, so she can breathe in the gas.

He could very well see that his wife was in so much pain, and it breaks his heart to see her in so much pain without knowing how to help her ease the pain.

He loved his wife so much and therefore couldn't bear to see her go through struggles or pain. But right now, he was currently watching bee go through the painful experience of childbirth, with nothing to help with.

"Sweetheart, I'm sorry for all of these. I should have listened to you when you said you weren't ready to have a child. I should have allowed you to be prepared before...." Liu Longwei said to her with a guilty conscience but was cut off mid-sentence.

Chen Lihua shook her head as a tear rolled down the side of her eyes as she gazed at him. She wanted to reach out to him with her hand, but he noticed her movements and stopped her by placing his hand on her own.

"I understand." Liu Longwei said to her.

They gazed at each other before they were interrupted as Chen Lihua was suddenly hit by a great wave of pain.

"Mrs. Liu, I need you to push now!." The doctor instructed.

Chen Lihua shut her eyes and pushed as hard as she could.

"Add a little more strength, Mrs. Liu, in ten to fifteen minutes, we should see the baby's head." The doctor said to her, encouraging her with her words.

Her words did fuel Chen Lihua because Chen Lihua gave it her all.

"Okay stop! When you feel the contractions again, push. Mr. Liu, you will take off the mask before she pushes, and allow her to catch her breath before you place the mask back." The doctor instructed.

Chen Lihua breathed heavily as more tears rolled down her eyes. She was in excruciating pain!

Liu Longwei could not bear to see her in pain, so he looked away. If he was a very emotional person, he would have joined her to cry.

But actually, he was fighting very hard not to let a tear drop down from his eyes, he needed to be strong for his wife, and son.

"Lihua dear just gives it your best, you've been doing great so far!." Liu Dongmei said in encouragement, as managed to hide her voice because she was crying as well.

"Yes Mrs. Liu, the pain is only for this moment. When you see your child, I promise you that the joy of being a mother would make you forget the pain." The doctor said as she looked into her eyes.

Chen Lihua mouthed a 'thank you'!

After ten minutes of struggles, and pain, the baby's head could be seen.

Chen Lihua cried out as she pushed with her might.

"Great, I can see the baby's head, give me your hand, come, touch him." The doctor said as she grabbed Chen Lihua's hand and placed it on her baby's head.

Chen Lihua felt the hair on her baby's head, and she smiled as she cried more.

"Ssshhh! Sweetheart, you're doing a great job. Our baby is almost here." Liu Longwei whispered to her as he wiped the tears and the beads of sweat on her face and neck, before kissing her forehead.

Liu Dongmei couldn't control her tears, so she ran out of the room after setting the phone in a good angle, so it can capture the remaining section of delivery.

Liu Longwei watched her as she ran away, but he didn't call her back. He could understand.

When Liu Dongmei ran out of the room, she ran past the women that were standing right outside the door.

And no matter how loud they called her, she didn't stop in her steps.

"Dongmei, what happened?!."

"How is Lihua?!."

"Is everything alright?!."

"Where are you running to?!."

The four women asked in panicked voices.

The delivery room was soundproofed, so they couldn't tell what was going on.

Liu Huiling glanced in the direction Liu Dongmei ran off to and then glanced at the closed doors of the delivery room.

Then she turned to say to the women, "Mum, please check on Dongmei, I will go in and check on Lihua. If I don't come out immediately, just know the situation is under control."

"Yes, please go on and check on Lihua, and tell us if there is a problem, we will be out here praying." Lady Chen said to Liu Huiling in a worried tone.
