"I am ten minutes late for my meeting, I will have breakfast later, goodbye."

"Mum, see you later." Liu Longwei said as he walked away.

"Mum, I think he is not happy." Chen Lihua said in a soft tone.

"He shouldn't be happy. Just look at what he has caused your face to turn out to." Madam Liu said with a pained expression on her face.

"How will you go to the hospital looking like this?." Madam Liu continued.

"Mum, I will cover it up with the concealer."

"Longwei has let me down. If it was Liwei would have beaten him to a pulp. I don't know what is wrong with my sons. Libya dear, forgive him okay? I will trash him if he tries it next time." Madam Liu pleaded on her sons' behalf.

"Mum, you don't need to apologize, and besides, Longwei has already apologized to me at night. He went on his knees as well." Chen Lihua revealed.

"He knelt? Tell me about it." Madam Liu asked with much interest.

"He went on his knees to apologize to me, and when I asked him to stand, he refused, saying he wouldn't get up till I forgave him." Chen Lihua giggled.

She seemed pleased with herself!

"At least he knows what to do when he offends you." Madam Liu said as a sincere smile appeared on her face.

Chen Lihua checked the time on her wristwatch before saying as she stood from her seat.

"Mum, I have to go now."

"But you haven't touched your food." Madam Liu said while staring at her.

"I will eat when I get to work." Chen Lihua said.

"Mum, please get the servants to pack the food, I will eat them when I get to the hospital." Chen Lihua added before rushing off.

On her way to the visitor's washroom, she instructed a maid to get her bag and coat from her bedroom.

Before leaving the house, Chen Lihua applied the concealer to her eyes. Her mother-in-law helped her and made sure it was okay before she left for work.

In the car, Chen Lihua made a call.

"Come to the underground car park to pick me in five minutes, and don't tell him I'm coming." Chen Lihua instructed before terminating the call.

"Who is that?." Liu Longwei asked without looking up.

He overheard Asst Duyi replying 'Yes Ma'am' over the phone, so he was curious as to who the caller was.

"It's madam." Asst Duyi replied.

"My wife?." Liu Longwei asked, seeking more details.

"Yes, she asked me to come down in five minutes to pick a package for you." Asst. Duyi lied smoothly.

Liu Longwei looked surprised. 'Did his wife want to gift him something?'

After speaking with his boss, Asst Duyi left his office and went to the underground parking lot directly.

Just as he arrived, Chen Lihua's car arrived.

Asst Duyi thanked his stars that he wasn't late even for a bit.

K2 opened the car door for Chen Lihua, and she came down from the car with the assistance of her female bodyguard, QB.

Chen Lihua had pair of sunglasses over her eyes, a nose mask on her face, and a big overcoat 🧥 covering her body.

Asst Duyi couldn't tell who the person was, but since he recognized one of his Boss's former bodyguards, he guessed that the woman who was covered up from head to toe, was his Boss's wife, so he hurried towards her.

He bowed in greeting as he stood before her.

"Does he know I'm here?." Chen Lihua asked in a muffled voice.

"No Ma'am." Asst Duyi replied.

"That's good. Pick one of the boxes and lead the way." Chen Lihua instructed.

QB passed a box to him, and he took it, and lead the way for them.

Chen Lihua followed behind him with her bodyguards, K2 and QB, included.

They arrived at the too floor after taking the elevator.

All eyes were on Chen Lihua since she was the centre of attraction.

She was the only one dressed on a royal blue overcoat, and surrounded by people on black.

Their were headturns and whispers as Chen Lihua passed by. They workers wondered who she was, and for her to be personally escorted by their President's personal assistant.

It was Chen Lihua's first time here, so she looked around as well, and met some curious gazes in the process.

Thanks to her shades and nose mask, nobody can recognize.

And because of the oversized coat, her baby bump was hidden, and coupled with the protection from her bodyguards.

No one could tell who she was, what she looked like, and her figure.

Chen Lihua really came prepared.

Asst Duyi led them, and they took two turns, before approaching a door 🚪 that looked like it was full of mystery.

Asst Duyi knocked once, and his eyeballs were scanned, before the door opened.

Chen Lihua was truly amazed.

Hearing the door open, Liu Longwei knew it was his personal assistant, so he didn't bother to look up as he asked, "Did you get the package?."

"Yes Sir." Asst Duyi replied with a hidden smile on his face, as he walked towards another table to out the box in his hands, down.

Just when the door was about to close, K2 stretched out his hand, and held it open for Chen Lihua to walk in.

Instead of hearing the door close, Liu Longwei heard a series of footsteps. He was somewhat pissed off, and wondered who dared to work into his office without the basic ethics of knocking.

So he raised his head to glance towards the direction of the footsteps. He saw his bodyguards, actually his wife's bodyguards.

And before he could question them, they two bodyguards in front, parted, and Chen Lihua walked out from behind them, with her gaze at the surprised Liu Longwei.

Liu Longwei had a look of astonishment as he gazed at his wife. He was indeed surprised to see her in the company. So he stood abandoned the contract he was going through, and walked towards her with a big smile on his face.

"You came?." He asked as he hugged her from the side.
