"I wish had another way to deal with that man. Just meeting him this morning already caused my feet to cramp up." Chen Lihua said to herself as she released a sigh.

"Ma'am, do you want me to deal with him?." QB asked for permission.

"No it's fine, once I start, it will never come to an end." Chen Lihua said in reply as she got ready to see her patients.

This new week was not an easy one for Chen Lihua, because she had a lot on her plate.

The baby and the whole pregnancy symptoms. Right now, she was currently experiencing Nasal congestion, backache, constipation, and bleeding gum.

The Nasal congestion was somewhat settled because she is using a humidifier. As for the backache, Liu Longwei normally massaged her back in the evenings.

The constipation was settled after her doctor advised her to take more liquid, and that has helped her a lot.

Later this week, something got her thinking about her friend whom she hasn't seen in a while now, her best friend who was locked up in the mental asylum.

She felt guilt, and the urge to go and visit her.

This was her best friend we are talking about, when things are not going on fine, she is supposed to encourage and support her.

Although she has been doing the latter by sending food to her every day and also employing people to take special care of her.

'She needed to go and see her'. Chen Lihua thought. But she was afraid that Liu Longwei would not approve of it since she was pregnant.

He might say that the environment was unhealthy for the baby, which might be true.

Something was urging her to make that visit, so she would try as much as possible to convince Liu Longwei to allow her to visit her friend.

It took Chen Lihua quite some time to figure the whole thing out, before talking to Liu Longwei about it.

As they cuddled in bed this night, Chen Lihua brought up the matter.

"Darling, I need to go and see Chynna."

"Chynna? Who is that?." Liu Longwei asked in confusion?

"My best friend." Chen Lihua replied.

Liu Longwei began to think about her friend who was named Chynna, but he couldn't make out who the person was, he has never had her mention that name before!

"Where do you know her from?." Liu Longwei asked with interest.

"She was my best friend in high school." Chen Lihua replied, gazing that he didn't know she had a best friend in high school.

"The one who is locked up at the asylum?." Liu Longwei asked.

Chen Lihua was surprised that he knew about her friend and the condition she was in, so it took moments for her to process everything.

"Who told you about her?." Chen Lihua asked curiously, for she knew that she has never mention Chynna to him, so how did he find out about her?

Did he do a background check on that too?

"Your mum mentioned something about your best friend from high school being locked up in the mental asylum after she watched her parents being killed." Liu Longwei revealed.

"When did she say that, how come I didn't know about it?."

"It happened a few months back, that time you were unstable after the failed assassination." Liu Longwei replied.

"Oh! I want to visit her, it's been long now." Chen Lihua said in a soft tone.

"Sweetheart, you know there is no way I'm letting you go to a mental asylum right?." Liu Longwei said in a serious tone.

"Why, what's wrong with going there? I just want to visit my friend who I neglected for a long time. She used to be my very good friend, she was always there for me. And now she needs my company most, I can't even see to that?." Chen Lihua asked as she gazed at him with an unhappy facial expression.

"I am not against you going to visit your friend. You can do that, but that will be after you give birth. That environment is not suitable for you in this condition."

Liu Longwei sighed and continued. "I heard that she attacked you once. I don't want that to happen again. She might be your friend, but you have to know that she is mentally unstable, so she can't tell what she is doing."

"Darling, she is a lot better now. This was something that happened over a decade ago, and besides, I have spoken to her attending physician, and she assured me she was a lot better now, and her mental state has improved considerably, so I can sit and talk with her." Chen Lihua revealed, trying her best to convince him.

"I don't even want you to step into that environment, then you are talking of going to sit and talk with your friend, those that sound okay to you?." Liu Longwei asked.

There was a sudden silence in the room. Both of them gazed at each other in silence.

Suddenly, Chen Lihua left his arms and turned away from him. She now had her back facing him.

Within seconds, Liu Longwei started to hear her sniffing, so he turned her over in worry, only to her tear-stained face.

She was seriously crying 😭!

Liu Longwei was alarmed, so he asked as he held her arms gently, "Baby, why are you crying?."

Chen Lihua did not answer him, instead, she cried more to the extent that she was finding it difficult to breathe.

Liu Longwei was so scared out of his wits. He immediately helped her to sit up.

"Sweetheart, please don't scare me. Please stop crying, I'm sorry."

Chen Lihua couldn't calm down, because she was so emotional 🥺 and heartbroken 😥.

"Was it something I said?." Liu Longwei asked as he tried his best to console his pregnant wife who was crying in the middle of the night.

"Do...do you not like me anymore? Why...why a..are you so mean to me?." Chen Lihua managed to ask as she breathed heavily.
