Chen Lihua glanced at her and remembered her father-in-law's actions, then she wondered what a good woman like her did to deserve an unfaithful man as a husband.

There was no use dwelling on the matter because what has happened, has happened.

Finally tired of staying at home, Chen Lihua brought up the topic at night, and Liu Longwei listened to her.

He revealed that he had already changed her work schedule.

She only goes to work when she has surgery, meetings, and a consultancy section, scheduled. Aside from that, she is home all day.

He also informed her of his search for a female bodyguard.

"What do you need a female bodyguard for?." Chen Lihua asked, not understanding the point of getting another bodyguard when they had more than enough.

"The female is for you." Liu Longwei replied.

"For me? Why? I already have bodyguards that follow me when I'm out." Chen Lihua said to him in confusion.

Liu Longwei glanced at her as he went further to explain, "You need a female bodyguard who will follow you everywhere you go, even to the restroom."

"Are you kidding me? Someone will follow me to the restroom each time I want to make use of it? Am I a child?." Chen Lihua asked with an unbelievable expression on her face.

"Well, I'm serious here." Liu Longwei replied with a serious expression on his face.

The couple stared at each other for seconds, exchanging glances, none of them, willing to give in.

After what seemed like ages, Liu Longwei finally spoke up.

"Sweetheart, I know you hate this, but I have to do this, it's for your good. You know how busy and rowdy the hospital is, and people can bump into each other."

Liu Longwei held her hands as he continued, "You are now pregnant, so you don't need the stress. The female bodyguard will disguise as your assistant, you will always put on simple clothing, so you don't have to worry about people thinking you are haughty. I've spoken to your direct Boss (Chief cardiothoracic surgeon), so he doesn't have any problem with it."

Chen Lihua was not in the mood to argue with him since he was doing all this for her good.

At least, nobody has to know that she has a bodyguard the follows her everywhere, including the restroom.

"Apart from the Chief, who else in my workplace knows that I am pregnant?." Chen Lihua asked in concern.

She didn't want anyone giving her that curious and weird look. She didn't want to be the center of attention and get people pointing at her and whispering amongst themselves.

She doesn't want any of it!

"You can rest assured that your Chief is the only person that knows your present status." Liu Longwei assured her with a smile on his face, for he understood her worry, and therefore put it into consideration.

"That's better." Chen Lihua said as she sighed in relief.

After her work schedule was settled, they moved on to take about some other crucial matters, like her next Doctor's appointment and the rest...

On her next Doctor's appointment, Liu Longwei went with her, as he didn't want to miss out on anything concerning their child, and his wife's health.

After the usual basic test, Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei were an opportunity to see their child.

"The fetus is fully formed, and the sex organs have developed. Do you want to know your baby's gender?." The doctor asked as she gazed at them with a smile on her face.

Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei glanced at the doctor, then glanced at themselves before looking back at the doctor.

Then they both said in unison, "No!."

"Okay." The doctor said in reply.

"Doctor why is the baby's head bigger than the body?." Liu Longwei asked curiously as he pointed to the screen.

The doctor smiled, that was indeed a funny question.

"It's normal for the baby's head to be bigger than it's a body at this stage of pregnancy. At sixteen weeks, that's at four months, the baby's hand and body will be well proportioned."

"Okay." Liu Longwei nodded at the new profound knowledge he just got.

"At fourteen weeks, the fetus heartbeat can be felt during the ultrasound. So when you come back next time, you will get to hear your baby's heartbeat and also see that its body is uniformed." The doctor added.

"Doctor, I have an important question to ask." Liu Longwei said with a serious look on his face.

"Please go ahead and ask your question, Mr. Liu." The doctor said as she gestured with her hand.

"We haven't been intimate since we discovered we were pregnant. Is it okay for us to be intimate while we are carrying?." Liu Longwei asked.

Chen Lihua nearly threw up blood.

'Tsk tsk. This man doesn't fail to shock me each time we come here. How did he manage to raise this type of question effortlessly?. He needed to be given a trophy for being calm in this awkward situation.'

"Yes, you can. As long as she is comfortable with it, you can be intimate at any time. You're being intimate, will help the fetus feel its parents' love and care." The doctor said in a professional note.

She was not shy when this question was raised, and that is to show you that she is experienced.

Throughout the time Liu Longwei raised that question, and the doctor replied to him, Chen Lihua hid her face away in shame.

She didn't how she would face the doctor if they were to meet in another location.

Her husband has thrown her face (reputation) away without regard.

And he doesn't fail to impress her each time a situation came up. There would always be a way for him to show that he was, Liu Longwei!

The doctor chatted with them for a while, and they left after she gave them the date for the next appointment.
