Unpredictable Marriage. Chapter 383

"Alright, just be careful on your way out." Liu Longwei said in a kind reminder.
"Yeah, I know, my eyes are still functioning perfectly." Chen Lihua replied as she walked out of the room.
Liu Longwei smiled to himself as he watched her leave. But when he remembered his father's actions, the smile disappeared from his face.
At night, after dinner time, Liu Longwei went back to his study.
But before then, he made sure Chen Lihua ate a considerable amount of food before he left.
Now came to his study room, he phoned his mother to inquire about his father.
Instead of getting a positive reply, he got one that made him mad in anger.
His mother informed him that his father came home and packed a few clothes before leaving for an emergency trip.
"What kind of work emergency does the company have for him to leave in a hurry?." Madam Liu inquired since her husband didn't feel her in on the details before leaving as if the mountain was the fire.
"Mum, don't worry, everything is alright. Let me go and check on Lihua, she has not been eating well for some days now." Liu Longwei said, successfully diverting her attention.
"Lihua has not been eating, how come you are only telling me now?." Madam Lihua asked in a raised voice, it was obvious that she was shocked.
"I'm sorry Ma, But I will take care of it." Liu Longwei said.
"Nonsense! I will come to cook for her tomorrow morning. Until then, take care of her and make sure she eats something." Madam Liu said and ended the call immediately.
Liu Longwei glanced at his phone before keeping it on the table.
He was indeed worried about his wife, but that was not his problem now. His worry was the sudden disappearance of his father.

He had tried his number earlier, but the call went to voicemail, and that prompted him into calling his mother to inquire about his father.
Liu Longwei was surprised that he would run away, it turns out that he was truly afraid of him!
Liu Longwei rubbed his head before he continued with his work. He was not even interested in searching for his father or knowing his whereabouts.
He didn't even need to worry about him, because he would find him if he wanted to, and also get him to come home and do his biddings if he wanted to.
Liu Longwei didn't have time to worry about his unfaithful father. He had so many things on his plate.
His wife was with a child, and he needed to take care of her.
Another thing is that he had a lot of work on his plate now. Since he got married, he has left a lot of work behind.
He came to love his wife on their first meeting, and since then, he has taken her far more important than his work.
For example, he was supposed to travel in December for a business meeting regarding their newly acquired large plots of land in France, but he shifted the responsibility to his Assistant, Asst. Duyi.
Instead of going to France, he took his wife on a travel holiday, totally neglecting his work responsibility.
Anyone that has been monitoring him, or been on the lookout for him, would know that he has been the most laid-back CEO of all time. He would even successfully make it to the Times Magazine with this piece of news.
But Liu Longwei was someone with principles. Since his wife was more important to him than any other thing, then he would do everything in his powers, and beyond to take good care of her. He would never regret his actions.

Other CEOs are so busy, that they sometimes don't have time for their families. They would be busy all Year-round with business trips, or probably trying to develop something new. They would even get their wives to be busy with them.
But Liu Longwei was different. If possible, he would get his wife to quit her job and get her to stay at home, so that she won't be stressed.
He would even indulge her in trips to anywhere she wanted to go. Then if she was bored and wanted something to do, he would bring coaches that would teach her some fun things.
But he would never do that because he knew that his wife derived joy from saving people's lives. She would never bypass anybody she sees that is unwell. She would always try to help them.
One day, he asked her why she walked so hard in the hospital, and this was her reply;
"It is so uncomfortable to be ill. I have experienced being in ill health, and I know how uneasy that feels. So, I want to help as many people that I encounter, to feel better."
Thinking about his wife, Liu Longwei closed his laptop and went to their bedroom to check on his wife.
When he got to the bedroom, he didn't see her there. He went to the walk-in closet, but he didn't see her there, and instead, he heard water flushing from the bathroom, so he relaxed.
Thinking she was making use of the bathroom, Liu Longwei went back to the bathroom to wait for her. There, he saw her laptop on the bed, turned on, so he glanced at it to see what she was working on.
As his eyes caught the word, 'Cardiothoracic....', he didn't need anyone to tell him she was doing something that had to do with her career hospital.
Liu Longwei checked his wristwatch, and saw that it's been a minute since he had the flushing sound in the bathroom, so he thought 'Is she doing something else there?'
With that thought, he stepped into the bathroom, he saw his wife standing in front of the mirror and glancing at herself with a worn-out look on her face.
Chen Lihua glanced at him from the mirror and didn't say anything to him.
