"Sweetheart." Liu Longwei called out as he sat on the bed beside her.

"mmmmm" Chen Lihua hummed in reply.

"Are you not happy about the baby?." He asked in concern.

"I'm just having mixed feelings. You know, I told you earlier that I didn't want to have children now because of my career."

"And we agreed that if a child should come before you are ready, we would take care of it together, have you forgotten that already?". Liu Longwei reminded in a low voice as he stared right into her eyes.

"I didn't forget what we talked about, it's just that I didn't take it serious, I didn't know I would become pregnant so soon. I didn't panic when I didn't see my period for two months because I thought it didn't come because of the stress and mental breakdown, but who knew it didn't come because I was pregnant." Chen Liua said in creased brows.

"Are you saying you didn't take my words serious?." Liu Longwei asked in a disappointed tone.

"No, I didn't mean that. It's the situation I didn't take serious not your words." Chen Lihua clarified immediately when she saw that he was not happy.

"It's alright. You are carrying our child now, so you should be happy. The baby is your own flesh and blood, you just have to accept the fact that you are pregnant. Don't mind your work, I will take care of it."

"Darling I'm sorry for my behavior earlier. I was worried about my work, but now it's fine. This is our child, and I will take care of it. My child comes first, you second, and then my work." Chen Lihua said in a smile.

"What?. That's not going to happen. Sweetheart, you have to always remember the fact that I am the no 1 in your heart, the baby can line up behind me." Liu Longwei said in a serious tone.

"hahahhahha...." Chen Lihua chuckled as her face brightened up.

"Sweetheart, it's not funny, I'm serious here." Liu Longwei said in a serious tone. He would never allow anyone to steal his place in his wife's heart.

"Alright...alright, I know you are serious. Noted." Chen Lihua gave in to him, but she still could not control her laughter seeing him with that look.

Just then, a knock sounded on their door. Liu Huiling and Liu Dongmei walked into the room after their brother opened the door for them.

"Congratulations sister-in law..." Liu Dongmei said excitedly as she ran over to Chen Lihua's side to give her a hug.

"Thank you." Chen Lihua replied in a smile as she reciprocated the hug.

"Congratulations Lihua." Liu Huiling greeted as she hugged her.

"Thank you." Chen Lihua said in reply.

"Brother, so you are going to have a little one running around by your side soon? Who knows if your child will be scared of you, given how serious you are." Liu Dongmei said.

"Why would my child be scared of me?." Liu Longweim asked in confusion. He didn't see any reason why his child would be afraid of him, that is not normal.

"You always have this unapproachable stance. Adults can't get close to you, then what do you think a child will do?. Have you wondered why our children are not close to you but prefers to play with Liwei?." Liu Dongmei asked.

"It doesn't count. I don't know how to relate with children, so that's the reason they don't come to me, because I can not entertain them. But the good news is that I would soon be a father, so I can learn." Liu Longwei said as a proud smile appeared on his face.

"Wow! Did brother smile now?." Liu Dongmei asked as a surprised smile appeared on her face. She turned to look at her elder sister.

"Huiling did you see that smile?." She asked.

"I did, I saw his smile that can not be bought with money." Liu Huiling replied in a smile.

"The only person that brings a genuine smile to Brother's face is his Lihua." Liu Dongmei teased.

"Have you started walking on the designs for our new project?." Liu Longwei asked, suddenly changing the topic.

"Brother are you serious right now? This is new year, we just entered it few hours ago. How can you be talking about work now? Sometimes I wonder if sister-in-law was bling to agree to marry a boring person like you." Liu Dongmei said in an annoyed tone.

"What did you say?!" Liu Longwei asked as black lines appeared on his face, and that left Chen Lihua and Liu Huiling, chuckling softly.

"Nothing." Liu Dongmei replied immediately in a scred tone.

"I want you to brief me on the new designs you've got for our new project, tomorrow's morning." Liu Longwei instructed before walking away.

"What the hell! Brother this is a nightmare that you are trying to construct!." She screamed at him, but she received no reply as she watched him enter his walk-in closet, and shutting the door behind him.

After Liu Longwei disappeared, Chen Lihua and Liu Huiling laughed their asses out.

"Ladies, this is not funny. This is my happiness we are talking about." Liu Dongmei said in annoyance as she glanced at the two women laughing at her.

"I have always warned you to watch your mouth when you are with him, but you never listen, and you never seem to learn from your past mistakes and the lessons." Liu Huiling said to her.

"How can I watch my words when I'm talking to my brother?." Liu Dongmei asked whist rolling her eyes.

"Have you seen where talking to your brother without watching your mouth has led you to now?." Liu Huiling asked, rolling her eyes in the process.

"Lihua, has Brother ever been mean to you?." Liu Dongmei inquired, as she doesn't seem to understand why she gets to be treated that way by her Elder brother.

"He has never been mean to me." Chen Lihua replied in a smile. She was proud of that fact.

"How do you think Brother would dare to be mean to one person he can not do without?." Lu Huiling asked her, while wondering the kind of dumb brain her junior sister had.
