She was thinking of the possibility of being pregnant when she wasn't ready at all.

Liu Longwei could tell that she wasn't happy or excited with the news, but he didn't say anything. He made sure she was sitting comfortably on the bed before leaving the bedroom.

It was New Year Day, so it was a public holiday. Getting a doctor to come to your house on this day was something impossible that can only be made possible if you have the connection and power to do so.

Liu Longwei came downstairs and went into the room where they received visitors. He saw the doctor in a conversation with his mother. His sister Huiling and his grandmother were also present.

"How is Lihua, has she woken up?." Madam Liu asked excitedly once she noticed her son's presence.

"She is fine, she is awake now." Liu Longwei replied neutrally.

"You shouldn't have left her alone in her condition, Since you came to get the doctor, you shuld have asked a servant to do that." Old Madam Liu berated him.

"I'm sorry grandma." Liu Longwei apologiszed.

Liu Huiling observed her brother and knew that something was not right. Her brother didn't look happy like he was earlier when he found out that his wife was pregnant, something must have happened.

"Brother you don't look happy, is everything alright?." Liu Huiling asked in a low voice as she walked beside him.

"Everything is fine." Liu Longwei replied.

Since her brother didn't want to talk about it, Liu Huiling let him be.

When Liu Longwei left to get the doctor, Chen Lihua sat obediently on the bed while waiting for his return. But her mind was in array.

Although she agreed with Liu Longwei to take care of the baby if she became pregnant during the time she was not ready, she still did not know how to handle the situation now that it was a reality.

She didn't see this coming at all.

Still in deep thought, Liu Longwei came into the bedroom with the doctor. Madam Liu and Old Lady Liu followed as well.

As for Liu Huiling, she waited outside the bedroom. And when Liu Dongmei came over and was about to knock on the door, she stopped her.

"Brother would be annoyed if you disturb them, just wait here quietly with me. We can go in after the doctor comes out." Liu Huiling advised.

"Why is brother acting this way, I just want to see Lihua and know how the baby is doing." Liu Dongmei complained.

"Let's go and sit over there as we wait." Liu Huiling suggested as she dragged her away before her loud voice would anger their brother.

In the room, the obstetrician displayed her equipment before she proceeded to check on Chen Lihua. She checked her heartbeat and pulse.

"When last did you see your period?." The doctor asked her.

Chen Lihua glanced at Liu Longwei before keeping her head low. Then she answered in a soft tone. "Two months ago."

Liu Longwei looked surprised that she didn't see her period for that long, but she didn't mention anything about it, while on the other hand, Madam Liu and Old Madam Liu smiled.

"From her pulse, she is definitely pregnant, but we still need to confirm it through a test since it's urgent. We are not at the hospital, so we can not do a lab test with her blood, so I brought a pregnancy test kit." The doctor said as she took out a pregnancy test kit from her bag.

She opened the packet and took out the kit before passing it to Chen Lihua. She instructed her on how to use it, but she didn't explain the lines that indicated if she was pregnant. She did that on purpose.

Chen Lihua took the kit from her and went into the washroom. She emerged two minutes later with the test kit in her hand.

She passed the test kit to the doctor who took it from her and glanced at the lines on the screen.

The doctor smiled and said, "Congratulations, you are pregnant."

A slight smile appeared on Liu Longwei's face, a happy smile that he couldn't hide.

Chen Lihua sat on the bed in shock. Madam Liu thought that she was shocked due to happiness, so she she went to her side to hug her. "Lihua dear, congratulations. You are going to be a mother soon. That's right, I need to call your mother and inform her of the wonderful news."

Madam Liu left her side and went out of the room to inform Lady Chen of the good news over the phone.

Old Madam Liu went to Chen Lihua's side to congratulate her.

Chen Lihua could see how happy the Old Lady was, so she smiled as well and conversed with her before she left to take a rest.

Because of her age, she got tired so easily, and since it was still early in the morning, she needed to get some rest.

Madam Liu came back into the room after the call. "Lihua dear, your mother was so happy when she heard the news, and she can not wait to see you. I bet she would come over this evening if someone doesn't hold her back. I will send Mother to her room and make some delicious healthy food for you and the baby.

Madam Liu left the bedroom happily after that.

"Can you tell me the date you last saw your period?." The doctor asked Chen Lihua.

"Please give me a minute." Chen Lihua said as she took her phone from the bedside table. She opened an app (a period tracker) in her phone and clicked a few things before telling the doctor the exact date she saw her last period.

The doctor also tapped her phone screen before saying to them. "From the calculation, you are almost eight weeks pregnant."

"I will see you two at the hospital tomorrow." The doctor said in a smile as she packed her things before leaving the room.

Liu Huiling who has been waiting outside the room, approached the doctor. She exchanged greetings to her and engaged in a little conversation with her, as she escorted her. But she made sure to drag Liu Dongmei with her, just in case she thought of barging into their brother's room because of her impatience.
