"I'm not surprised at all that you wouldn't support me, I have always known that you picked me up from the streets when I was little, you guys just don't want to admit it." He said in annoyed tone.

"What did you say?!." An old stern voice asked from the side.

Liu Liwei looked shocked to hear that voice. He immediately turned to see his grandmother standing by the side in a not so good looking facial expression.

"Gran...Grandmother, what are you doing here, you should be resting?." He said nervously. a little scared of her punishment of kneeling with his hands raised. That would be such an embarrassing punishment for him on such a special day as today.

Old Madam Liu ignored him and walked past him.

"Grandma, do you need any help?." Liu Liwei called out, bit he received no reply.

"Why do they all seem to be walking towards the direction of the kitchen, is something special going on there that I don't know of?." He muttered to himself, but received an unexpected reply.

"That's because we are cooking together as a family." Liu Huiling replied in a kind smile. Then she ruffled his hair before walking towards the direction of the kitchen.

'How come no one told me?'. Liu Liwei asked himself. He immediately turned back to join the rest of the family in the kitchen.

There was a harmonious atmosphere in the kitchen as the Liu family baked and cooked different dishes to celebrate Christmas Day.

"Darling I will be right back, I need to take a bathroom break." Chen Lihua whispered to Liu Longwei.

Liu Longwei stared at the pork he was taking care of and said to her, "Alright go ahead." He pecked her cheek before she left, and that caused an uproar in the kitchen.

Chen Lihua ran away before anyone could start teasing her. She felt embarrassed and nearly cursed Liu Longwei in her head.

"Where is Huang, I haven't seen him, is he not a part of us?." Old Madam Liu who was sitting at a corner and picking vegetables, asked.

"Mother, he is busy with work." Madam Liu explained. Liu Longwei turned to look at his mother before continuing with his work. He seemed to have a question mark on his head.

"What kind of work is he so busy with that he can't stay with his family?. Since he handed over the company to Longwei, he has become more busy than him." The Old lady complained, no longer finding the situation funny.

"Liwei, go and call your father, he is in the bedroom. Tell him that Mother sent for him immediately." Madam Liu instructed.

When Chen Lihua was done using the bathroom, she washed her hands before coming out. Walking down the hallway, she heard her Father-in-law's voice.

"No you can't come here, are you out of your mind?......... I will look for a way to see you today." Liu Huang said to the person on the phone.

Chen Lihua was surprised to hear her father-in-law talk like that, and that made her begin to wonder the identity of the person on the other side of the phone.

Not interested in eavesdropping, Chen Lihua walked away. As she walked away, she saw her father-in-law some distance away with his back facing her, so she hurried away.

Inside the kitchen, Chen Lihua met the Old Lady in a bad mood. She took quiet steps to Liu Longwei's side.

"Why does grandmother look unhappy?." She inquired.

"You are back." Liu Longwei said. He glanced at his grandmother before looking back at his wife to reply, "Father is not here with us, so grandmother is not happy about that because she feels that he spends less time with his family. But it's okay, Liwei has gone to call him over."

"Oh! I saw father in the hallway, but he was on a call. As for your supposed brother who was sent to call him, he was no where on sight." Chen Lihua said to him in a low voice as she continued with her work.

"I'm sure he has taken that opportunity to play around." Liu Longwei said in a smile.

In the hallway, Liu Liwei approached his father who seemed to be in an argument with the person he was on call with.

"Excuse me Dad." Liu Liwei said, successfully grabbing his attention.

"Grandmother is unhappy with you, and wants you to come to the kitchen immediately." He informed.

"Alright, tell her I will be there in a minute. You don't need to wait for me as well." Liu Huang replied before putting the phone back to his ear.

Liu Liwei nodded before walking away. And when he entered into the kitchen, he informed the Old Lady that his father would be there in a minute.

"In a minute? What is taking so much of his time?." Asked the Old lady.

"When I met him in the hallway, he seemed to be in a pretty serious call." Liu Liwei replied before going back to his work.

The Old Lady rolled her eyes without saying anything.

Two minutes later, Liu Huang came into the kitchen. He immediately went to the Old Lady's side to apologize to her.

The Old Lady didn't forgive him immediately, She made sure to give him a good piece of her mind before she could listen to him.

After settling with his mother, Liu Huang went to his wife's side to help her out.

After cooking together without the help of the servants, they whole family enjoyed the sumptuous dinner with some snacks by the side.

And because of the snow that was falling. they couldn't enjoy ice skating in the house, so they decided to gist over a cup of hot tea instead.

During this time, Liu Huang gave an excuse that he had to meet someone urgently before rushing out immediately.

The Old Lady said to her daughter-in-law in a calm manner. "Don't worry, I will have a good talk with him when he gets back."

Two hours later, Liu Huang came back with presents for everybody. And because of that, the Old Lady forgot to teach him a good lesson.

That night, Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei spent the night there.
