Liu Longwei felt that his mother was ridiculous and that her words were outrageous. How long did it take her to come up with those absurd thoughts?

She must have been watching too many dramas of late.

But come to think of it, she might be right. He knew Chen Lihua's mental state was affected. And because he didn't want to take any chances, he ended the call with his mother and went to check on his wife.

The wife he knew would have locked the door, but surprisingly, the door was open. So he walked in only to see Chen Lihua still dressed and staring at herself in the mirror. She looked lost in thought.

Liu Longwei found her actions strange, so he walked over to her. He placed his hands on her shoulders as he called out to her.

"Sweetheart, are you okay?"

His voice and his touch jolted Chen Lihua back to reality.

When she heard him calling her and felt someone touch her, she became so scared that her heartbeats increased. But when she saw her husband from the mirror, she placed her hand on her chest out of fright as she took deep breaths.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

"Lihua, are you okay?" Liu Longwei asked worriedly. He could see how frightened she was, and that was not a good thing.

Any time Liu Longwei calls her by her name, then he is serious about what he is saying to her or wants to tell her.

Tonight's incident has deeply affected her mental state, and he had to do something urgently about it.

First of all, she needed to take some more days off work, and secondly, she needed to see a psychiatrist.

That was Liu Longwei's conclusion.

Chen Lihua sighed and replied, "I'm fine."

"How can you be fine when you have been lost in thought for over ten minutes?" Liu Longwei asked with creased brows.

Right now, he didn't know what to do with her. She kept saying she was fine when it was obvious that she was not, and that was really getting to his head.

"Fine, I am not okay! I have been seeing images of what transpired tonight once my brain is not busy. What do you want me to do? I can't get those ugly pictures out of my head. I have tried not to think about it, I have been fighting not to think about it, but is it my fault that I can't?!" Chen Lihua half-shouted angrily.

She and Liu Longwei stared at each other for a few seconds.

Liu Longwei was shocked by her outburst. He never expected her to react that way.

It looked like she is angry and frustrated about her situation.

Chen Lihua ran her hands through her hair, she blinked her eyes and said to Liu Longwei in a calm voice.

"Darling, I am sorry for shouting at you, I am really sorry. I just can't get a hold of myself, and I am angry about it."

Liu Longwei sighed as he stared at her. He understood her situation clearly, and nobody would be comfortable in that kind of situation. So, he hugged her and assured her with some words.

"It's okay, I understand. Everything will be just fine. I will get you help by tomorrow."

"What kind of help?" Chen Lihua asked curiously.

"Don't worry, you will see," Liu Longwei replied. But he was not sure if she would be happy with it.

"I'm fine now. You can leave. I need to take a shower now," Chen Lihua said as she left his embrace.

"No, I am not going anywhere. I will sit here and watch you take your bath," Liu Longwei said in a serious tone. He just couldn't take chances now, not that she was not in the right frame of mind.

But if only Chen Lihua knew that Liu Longwei thought of her, and he was already seeing her as a crazy person. She would have pushed him out of the bathroom a long time ago.

"You know that's weird right?!" Chen Lihua asked with a smile.

"There is nothing weird about a husband watching his own wife while she takes her bath," Liu Longwei retorted.

Chen Lihua gazed at him for a while, and when she sensed that he wasn't ready to give in to her, she let him be.

At least, he couldn't touch her even if he could see her, not after what she has been through tonight.

That was the only assurance Chen Lihua had, and that was the reason she gave in because she knew he couldn't do anything to her at the moment.

Liu Longwei sat down on the padded stainless tool Chen Lihua normally sat to apply a face mask to her face.

Chen Lihua quickly pulled off her clothes before stepping into the shower that had a transparent glass for a cover.

Chen Lihua became lost in thought again as the water from the showerhead rinsed off her body.

Liu Longwei didn't know she was lost in thought again, because this time around, she was rubbing her body with her hands as the water from the showerhead poured on her.

And because the steam from the water covered the glass, Liu Longwei couldn't see her clearly.

He only knew that something was wrong when the water started pouring over-head, and she didn't do anything.

Chen Lihua was still carrying her hair in a beautiful and simple updo so, why would she want to wash her hair now? And even if she wanted to wash her hair, she would have at least removed the pins used to style it.

What kind of a normal human being in his/her correct senses would do that?

Liu Longwei immediately rushed into the shower and turned it off.

Chen Lihua wiped the water on her face off with her palms as she asked in an angry tone.

"What do you think you are doing?"

"I should be asking you that!" Liu Longwei retorted as he placed her small bath towel on her head and helped to rub her hair with it.

His actions seemed to bring her back to her senses. And it was just now that she discovered what she did.

Chen Lihua didn't know what to say, so she was quiet and allowed Liu Longwei to continue rubbing her hair.
