Unpredictable Marriage. Chapter 305

Looking away from the glasses in her hands, Chen Lihua gave him a hard stare before asking with a facade of a smile.
"Since you always have backup plans, do you have another woman outside you would replace me with if I fail or get broken?"
Liu Longwei was shocked and taken aback by her words.
Just now, he was talking about her glasses and advising her, so how did it turn to him having another woman outside that he would replace her with?
Liu Longwei was indeed speechless while glancing at his wife.
"Lihua, you know that's not what I am talking about. How could you twist my words like that?" Liu Longwei said in a grave tone.
"And besides, I don't have any woman outside. I only have one woman, and that's you," he continued.
Chen Lihua was quiet for a while as she continued staring at him. Then she chuckled loudly.
"Hahaha....haha. I was joking. You should have seen the look on your face," Chen Lihua said while laughing out loud.
Liu Longwei heaved a sigh as he moved his gaze from her and back to the documents he was working on.
He didn't know how to react to his wife's teasing, so he thought it would be best if he continued with his work.
Getting no reaction from him, Chen Lihua laughed softly as she approached him and asked, "Are you angry? Don't be angry, I was only joking. How could I mean what I said when you were seriously giving me good advice that would be beneficial to me?"
Liu Longwei glanced at the hand that was placed on his shoulder before looking up at the woman who still had a smile on her face.
"I am not angry," Liu Longwei said to her.

"Are you sure?" Chen Lihua asked.
"Mmm," Liu Longwei replied as he focused his gaze on the document and then picked up a pen to mark somewhere on the paper.
"Then give me a smile," Chen Lihua insisted as she gently massaged his shoulders.
"Honey, I'm not angry, seriously. I have an important document that I want to work on," Liu Longwei assured her, refusing to smile as he continued with his work.
He wasn't angry or anything. He just did not want to smile.
Chen Lihua could not stand him ignoring her; then, she got an idea while a sly smile crept up on her face.
She sat on his laps before taking away the pen and documents in his hands and placing them at a corner of the table where it would not be an easy reach for him.
"Lihua, what are you doing?" Liu Longwei asked as he failed to reach his work documents.
"Sshhh...sh," Chen Lihua shushed him with a finger on her lip before she lowered her head to kiss his lips while caressing his face, neck, and upper body gently.
Liu Longwei didn't push her away, and instead accepted her kisses and even returned the gesture.
While kissing his wife, Liu Longwei caressed her sides and back.
When the kiss was getting heated, Chen Lihua slowly left his lips and stared into his eye for a few seconds before speaking up.
"I hope you feel better now?" she asked softly.
"Yeah," Liu Longwei replied in a low husky voice and tried to resume their kissing section, but Chen Lihua blocked his lips with her palm.
"No....no. We have to get back to work. I will request for new sets of customized glasses when I get to the hospital tomorrow after a check-up," Chen Lihua said while standing up from his laps.

Liu Longwei looked on as she walked back to her seat.
He licked his lips slowly before answering back, "Don't forget to choose beautiful designs. You can get new pairs of sunglasses as well."
"Ok, I will do that as well," Chen Lihua complied as she picked up her phone to book an appointment with the ophthalmology department of the hospital she worked.
Liu Longwei nodded satisfactorily before they continued with their work.
The next day, a brief test was conducted on Chen Lihua's eyes. Since she just wanted new sets of customized glasses, a little test was done so they would be able to wash the glasses correctly.
Chen Lihua ordered for five sets. Since she had the money, it wasn't a problem for her.
The ophthalmology department assured her that her glasses would be ready in no time and delivered directly to her office when they were ready.
After work that evening, Chen Lihua branched into a high-end store that dealt mainly with Sunglasses, shoes, and bags.
When she entered the store, she was given a warm welcome even though her identity wasn't recognized because of how she looked.
Chen Lihua dressed casually today with her hair in a bun and her medicated glasses covering her eyes.
Although she looked familiar to the store attendants, they couldn't pinpoint where they had seen her before. Still, they attended to her like every other customer they've received in their store so far.
Chen Lihua went on to check out the sunglasses they had.
Since she was satisfied with their products, and the way she was welcomed, she picked ten different styles and designs of sunglasses.
Her eyes caught onto some simple-looking but expensive bags, and so she picked them up.
When she reached the counter to pay, the shop attendants were happy that she picked a lot of expensive goods. So they smiled and packaged the items she bought after swiping her black card.
One of them wanted to help Chen Lihua carry the shopping bags to the car, but Chen Lihua rejected her politely.
And as she left the store, they bowed to her and asked her to come again.
After leaving the store, Chen Lihua found a restaurant and stopped by. She ordered a lot of take-away snacks and drinks.
So while they got her order ready, she sat by a chair sipping on an orange juice.
Just then, a lady with an average height who had a pair of sunglasses over her eyes came in with two other young ladies.
The three of them were dressed in the same style of clothes, but different colors.
The clothes they were dressed in revealed their shoulders and a little part of their stomach and legs.

My name is Alyssa Gray, and by the time you finish reading this, I'll be dead. ________________________________ A few warnings and things to note: -I've put up the tramatising content tag due to a lot of mentions on death, dying, illness, and a mother who tends to be rather cruel. I know that I take a perspective that many will strongly disagree with, and I'm okay with that. Just be warned that this isn't lighthearted stuff. This is real, and death is real, and this part streaches beyond the fiction into reality. -I'm going to say a minor spoiler, but I don't want it to take you unaware because it is something to be aware of. At one point, my MC attempts suicide and fails. It's a very violent scene and I will put up the gore tag after writing this, and it's also just really depressing. If this will be triggering, you need to be aware of this before you read it. -This is a christian book. It may go against some of your beliefs. I hope that you can read and comment anyway even if some of it does not sit well with you. Credits for the cover go to the user 'Media in Sanity'. Your help and assitance has meant so much to me, God bless you in your writing and your endevours. A proud member of WriTE. I've promised to finish this fiction and update it at least once a month. My schedule is very irregular, and I'm working on that, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that this book stays out there. I'm not ending it until it's done.
