When they got to the high-end restaurant, the car door opened, and Chen Lihua's two bodyguards came over to help her out from the car.

They each held one hand as she stepped down from the car.

"Thank you," Chen Lihua said to them gratefully.

"Wow, girlfriend, that gown looks hot on you," One of her friends said as she sent a playful wink towards her way.

"Yeah yeah. Look at those long legs of hers," Another said ogling at Chen Lihua's legs.

"It reminds me of those runway days," Angel said with a smile.

"So can our future bride to be, give us the honor of seeing you catwalk?" Jessica pleaded with a smile.

Chen Lihua rolled her eyes at her. But then, she smiled before walking to the restaurant's entrance runway style, amidst the cheers from her friends.

"OMG! She actually did that," Jessica said, as she and the rest hurriedly followed after her.

Chen Lihua's bodyguards followed after them as well.

Just as they all settled down in the private room, one of the ladies said.

"Lily, it's been a long time. Don't you miss being on the runway?" One of them asked curiously.

"If you don't miss it, we really miss seeing you on the runway," Another said while flipping her blonde hair backward.

"Let's not talk about the runway, because I will quit once my contract expires in January," Chen Lihua replied, making her stance clear.

"Why do you have to quit, I thought you loved your modeling work?" Jessica asked with a serious gaze.

"I indeed love modeling more than anything, but there are reasons why I have to quit," Chen Lihua said and took a breath, before continuing.

"I have relocated to China now. I am a cardiothoracic surgeon who is always busy in the hospital. And lastly, I now have a 'Married woman' tag on me, coupled with the influential family I am married to."

"Are you serious?" One of them asked unbelievably.

"It may be true that my husband might not stop me from traveling in and out of the country for modeling jobs and runways. But on my own, I have to quit before he tells me to, and I can't combine these two tiring careers together," Chen Lihua said, picking up the menu.

"Are you for real?" Another asked in unbelief while running her hand through her hair.

"Do I look like I am joking? See, I am now married, and there are some certain things I have to stop doing. It will be for my good and family as well," Chen Lihua assured them.

"Oh, come on, let's cheer up. We came out here to celebrate and party hard. So why the long faces?" Angel said with a smile, as she tried to brighten up the atmosphere.

"Yeah that's right, let's order what we want and celebrate. The bill will be on our bride to be", One of them said as she pointed at Chen Lihua.

"Like seriously? You all want to finish my money, huh, is that your plan?" Chen Lihua said in disbelief while looking at her so-called friends.

"Well is not actually a plan. Don't worry, the bills will be on me when my turn comes to be the bride," Jessica said with a smile while nodding her head.

Four waiters came in to take their food and drink orders. And in no time, their food was served.

When their food was served, they picked up their cutlery 🍴 and began to eat after having a toast, clinking their wine glasses.

In the middle of eating and chatting, a knock came on the door, and one of Chen Lihua's friends said, "Come on in."

Then one of the bodyguards standing guard outside the door came in holding a phone in his hand.

"Ma'am, Sir wants to have a word with you," The bodyguard said once he stepped into the room while staring at Chen Lihua's direction.

Chen Lihua looked up a muttered softly, "Oh", while wondering while her husband didn't call her line.

But from the actions of the bodyguard, she knew that the call was still connected, so she told her girlfriends to quiet down, before taking the phone.

Placing the phone on her left ear, her voice penetrated through, "Hey."

"How are you?" Liu Longwei asked as he glanced at his empty study room while sitting on his office chair.

"Am good, just having fun with my friends. How about you?" Chen Lihua asked before wiping her mouth gently with a napkin.

"Nothing much is going on here, and I'm kind of missing you," Liu Longwei responded in a gentle voice while tapping his ball pen on the table.

Chen Lihua chuckled softly before assuring him, "I just left the house an hour ago, and you are already missing me? Don't worry, I will come back soon."

"Ok, I will be waiting," Liu Longwei replied.

"Why didn't you call my line instead of the bodyguards?" Chen Lihua asked immediately before Liu Longwei could terminate the call.

"That? I just wanted to make sure they (bodyguards) were in a close range with you. You know our wedding is just around the corner, so they have to protect you well. Otherwise, I would skin them alive," Liu Longwei said with a serious tone.

Chen Lihua laughed out loud, 'Skin them alive?'

"You don't have to worry about me, I will be fine. Goodbye," Chen Lihua said with a big smile.

"Ok, goodbye. I love you," Liu Longwei said heartily. His stone face was full of smiles.

Chen Lihua blushed as she ended the call without giving him a reply.

Liu Longwei chuckled when he heard the sound of the already terminated call.

'She must have been shy because she was with her friends, and so didn't want to reply to me,' Liu Longwei said to himself.

Chen Lihua handed the phone over to the bodyguard, and he walked away with it.

"Wow! Lily, this is Public Display of Affection!" One of them exclaimed with an open mouth.

"That's right Lily, this is totally a PDA even though your husband is not present," Another said while moving her fingers about.

"What did he say to you that is making you blush so hard?" Jessica asked with raised lips.

"Nothing," Chen Lihua blushed and moved her gaze away.

The girls looked at themselves while giving each other an eye.

Then the two girls sitting closest to Chen Lihua immediately got up and started tickling her waist.

Chen Lihua didn't see that coming. But she started wriggling her waist to set herself free as she laughed out loud.

"Hahaha. Please stop," Chen Lihua cried out.

"Are you ready to answer us now?" Angel asked from the sides while laughing.

"I will...talk, I.....will talk," Chen Lihua said as she surrendered.
