"But when she got pregnant, I questioned her, and she said she wasn't at fault that sometimes birth control pills failed. So I made inquiries and found out that it was true, and this made me believe her. But that did not stop me from taking preventive measures. Before she had our second child, I didn't let her retake the pills since I learned my lessons, so I used a condom, but she still got pregnant. And that was I found out that she cheated me," The man recounted.

Chen Lin just looked on as he continued.

"Since she was able to get two children out from me, I decided to ignore it. So since she got pregnant with our second child, I've not been intimate with her. That's the price she had to pay for going against me. I couldn't tell her to abort the pregnancy because the child was mine as well. My mother was also watching us like a hawk."

A knock came on the door, and the waiters came in to serve their food before excusing themselves.

"How is that old woman doing? That old woman that said she would never let me enter her house while she was alive," Chen Lin asked casually with a smug look.

It's quite surprising that the old lady dared to treat Chen Lin that way, not considering the family she came from.

She didn't even care about her family's reputation and how they would react if their daughter/sister was short-changed.

She just couldn't take it that Chen Lin was rude to her after their first encounter because she was in the wrong.

Chen Lin and the old woman met on an awful day.

The old woman went shopping in a Mall and refused to pay for a dress after stepping on it. She had tried on the dress earlier, and it fitted her, and she even told the attendant that she liked the dress and that she should add it to her cart.

But when she saw another dress that caught her attention in someone else's hands, she asked for it, but the woman refused to hand it over to say her while saying she saw and took the dress first.

After arguing with the woman, and still not able to get the dress from her. She turned to the shop attendant that was helping her shop and demanded that she took the dress from that woman because she wanted that dress. Still, the shop attendant declined with these words, 'She took the dress before you, and the dress is still in her hands, so I cannot get it for you unless she puts the dress back.'

A nerve snapped in the old woman's head as she began to curse the woman, the shop attendants, and shop.

Since these words alone could not stop her fury, she dragged the dress she had picked earlier from the shop attendant before stomping her feet on it.

The shop attendant, the customers, and the other workers looked on in shock with their mouths agape.

They couldn't believe that the old woman would display such an attitude. The other customers in the shop began to point fingers at the old woman. At the same time, some even videoed her little episode of madness.

The shop attendant that was attending to her still had her hands stretched out after the old woman snatched the dress from her.

I don't think she has ever met such an unreasonable and shameless customer before. Who does that?.

After the old woman was done stomping on the dress, she became extremely satisfied, for she had vented her anger on the dress. She snorted and carried her handbag as she made her way to leave.

She didn't even care about the people who were pointing their fingers at her. Or even care about those that captured little shopping escapade on their phones. She even wanted to walk out heroic, not knowing that the right word to be used on her instead of that 'heroic' was shameless.

Anger rose from the shop attendant as she held the old woman back by holding her hand.

(Note that the old woman wasn't old back then. I am just using 'old woman to describe her since I don't want to name her. I just discovered that I've introduced too many characters already, so adding more would be confusing, even to me the author).

"Ma'am please pay for the dress you damaged before you leave," The shop attendant said while trying to hold her anger back.

But she still couldn't control the tone of her voice, as anger could be detected from it.

"How dare you bitch hold me with those filthy hands of yours?" The old woman screeched as she gave a resounding tight slap to her.

A gasp of shock and surprise erupted from everyone's mouth as they couldn't believe their eyes.

One woman amongst the people crowding the area couldn't take it any longer, and so spoke up.

She pointed at the old woman while saying, "I have never seen anyone more shameless as you. What wrong did that young lady do for you to curse at her and even give her a slap? Which family did you even come from?"

The old woman stared at the woman that spoke up before walking towards her in anger. Then she bent her finger that she used in pointing at her while saying, "Don't you ever point your dirty finger at me,"

Before she could cause any more problems, Chen Lin arrived with one of the shop attendants that came to inform her of what was going on.

If you are wondering the reason the shop attendant went to call Chen Lin, then here is the reason.

Chen Lin owns this shop, and this is the first day she launched her clothing line, so she was available.

"Who is causing all these commotions in my shop, and abusing my customers?" Chen Lin asked in rage as she stepped forward.

This was the first day after launching her clothing line, and she was so happy and couldn't wait to monitor the day's sales. But her happiness was cut short with this scene.

The old woman heard the sentence and discovered that the owner of the store had come. And this made her blurry mind to clear up. She just realized that she had caused a lot of trouble.
