Her face was totally in a mess. The one and only Lady Chen who was always vibrant and always had a smile on her face now had a different demeanor. She was completely shattered and looked like a sobbing mess as she covered her mouth and cried, it produced a muffled sound. But then it didn't take long for her to burst into tears.

She cried uncontrollably with agony in her heart. Feeling pain in her heart, she clutched her chest and tried very hard to reduce the pace of her crying.

As she cried, she remembered everything she had passed through all these years. She remembered the pains she went through, both emotional, psychological, and physical pains.

Taking over the large company, and having to take care of everyone in the Chen Family. She no longer had time for herself for she had to work so hard for the company to show the board of directors that she, women are capable as well.

Because of that time the board of directors which were mostly men who looked down women.

They had wanted to vote against her becoming the successor of the Chen Group of companies, as they asked how she could manage such a big company that was worth billions of dollars.

The reason they all doubted her capabilities was because Lady Chen was not very active in the Chen Company since she already had another job which she was overseeing.

Old Master Chen made her the General Manager of a subsidiary company under the Chen group. That company was a production company that produced lots of beverages and other stuff.

The old man also had lots of lands where he planted different kinds of fruits and other foodstuffs.

So whenever the company wants to produce a beverage, they get their raw materials from the farmlands and from other places.

The Board of Directors of Chen Group really belittled Lady Chen at that time not knowing that she had a very good prospect for business and that she sometimes helped her husband to sort some important things and decisions for the company.

So if not for her husband's will, she would have been overthrown.

Her husband's will stated that if anything should happen to him, she, 'Lady Chen' will take over.

After Lady Chen took over, she brought the company to greater heights, and all those men that belittled her then now have a great deal of respect for her.

This doesn't mean that her husband didn't have such capabilities, but there was a difference.

The only thing that kept Lady Chen going was her family and then the company which was her husband and father-in-law's sweat.

She had a lot of responsibilities on her shoulders, so she decided to make her time worthwhile by working her ass off.

Now learning that the person she went through all those trials and tribulations for is still alive, she just couldn't take it. She cried her heart out. She still had to vent all her frustrations and pain.

When she got tired from crying, and when no more tears seemed to be coming out from her tear glands, she went into her washroom to wash her face.

As she washed her face, she stared at herself in the mirror. Seeing her red and puffy eyes, coupled with her red face, sighed and splashed water on her face again before patting it dry with a soft face towel.

Walking back into her room, she picked up a face moisturizing cream and applied the little content she pressed out on her face.

After crying, she felt better and decided to take a nap to recover the energy she spent on crying.

When she woke up in the afternoon, she had her lunch alone since the old couple had already eaten.

By now, Lady Chen's face looked a lot better after taking a nap.

After lunch, she made a phone call to Aunt Lin, but the woman didn't dare to answer her call the second time after discovering that she (Lady Chen) was the caller.

Aunty Lin was at a high-end Spa parlor, having a face mask applied to her face when her phone rang. After crying that morning, she felt that wrinkles had appeared on her face, so she rushed to the Spa after having her lunch.

As her phone rang, one of the attendants passed her phone to her.

Without checking the caller ID, she picked the call and answered first, "Hello" in her crisp voice which sounded like she was having a lot of fun.

"Chen Lin we need to talk". That was all she heard for her to lose her prestigious composure.

"Ah!" She screamed and jumped up as the face mask that was being rubbed on her face came unto her dress.

Well, she was lucky that she had the shop's apron wrapped on her body or she would have heard it hot.

As for her phone, she managed to terminate the call before flinging it away because she was too flustered.

The people attending to her all paused with their work and looked at her, wondering if there was a problem.

"Mom, what's the problem?" Her daughter who was also receiving the same treatment sat up and asked with a worried look.

"Nothing", Aunt Lin said managing to pull herself together.

Then with a fake smile, she told the workers to continue with their work that she was okay.

So one of them picked up her phone, and only returned it to her after cleaning it.

"Ma'am your phone is still working, but the screen is cracked", the attendant said after checking the phone out.

"Thank you, leave it in my bag", Aunt Lin said before lying back on her comfy chair.

Aunt Lin was really scared after hearing her sister-in-law's voice. She must have woken up.

'She wants to talk to me? No way. Only when am mentally deranged will I go to see her and talk about my brother'.

Aunt Lin didn't even want to know the reason for the call before cutting it off because she was guilty.

Aunt Lin's daughter sighed before lying back on her chair as she didn't know what had been going on with her mother for a few days now, or since she started noticing it.

Lady Chen had to take the phone further away from her ear when she heard the ear-piercing scream and furrowed her eyebrows.

The next time she looked at her phone after saying hello and not hearing a sound or getting any answer, her phone screen was blank.

So she double-tapped the screen to make sure her battery didn't die or her phone didn't wreck, but her phone screen was on, displaying a selfie of her and Chen Lihua on the home screen.
