There was a total of forty guests present for their wedding banquet. And each Guest went home with expensive gifts in a red double happiness bag.

Chen Lihua's beautiful dresses succeeded in making eyes stay on her for the rest of the day. It was as if she was a runway model, advertising the clothes of a designer.

Even when Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei went around to have a toast with the guests that did not stop them from looking at her. In fact, they instead had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of her beautiful looks and figure.

Liu Longwei noticed the stares his wife received from both the male and female guests, even the old and the young, and he felt like gorging their eyes out.

But his jealousy didn't last for long as he consoled himself with Chen Lihua's beautiful smile.

When the wedding banquet was finally over. Chen Lihua sat at a place, tired from the stress she had accumulated from the day.

Her friends came over to keep her company. But just then, Lady Chen walked over after sending her friends off.

"Hua'er you look tired. Why don't you go and rest in one of the rooms?" Lady Chen asked the exhausted Chen Lihua.

"No mum, I am fine here. And besides, we will leave soon". Chen Lihua said looking around the hall to see everyone engaged in conversations.

Liu Longwei wasn't left out as he had so many people surrounding him. But he still used the very little opportunity he got to glance at his wife.

When their eyes collided, Chen Lihua smiled bashfully as Liu Longwei winked at her before looking away to continue his conversation with the people surrounding him.

Lady Chen caught those exchanging looks and smiled as she teases her daughter.

"I can see the reason why you don't want to rest in the room. It's because you two have been exchanging glances". Lady Chen said pointing at them.

Chen Lihua didn't bother denying her mother's words because they were true, and then she neither had the energy to start an argument nor continue it, talk more of ending it.

Her friends giggled by the side when they saw the blush on her face.

Chen Lihua's friends thought the mother and daughter duo needed alone time, so they got up to leave, but Lady Chen thought, 'If they left, then my plan will be foiled', so she stopped them.

"You girls should just sit, I won't take long".

Then she handed over the documents in her hands to Chen Lihua saying, "Sign these documents, they are some properties I allocated to your name. Take it, it is your dowry".

Chen Lihua took the documents from her and made a motion of going through it, but Lady Chen stopped her hastily.

"My dear just put down your signature where it is required. There's no time to waste. My Lawyer is around now, so I want to hand over the documents to him right now".

"I understand. I just want to take a look at what I am putting my signature on". Chen Lihua said as she signed the first document after taking a quick look at its content before going through the next one.

"This girl, why don't you listen to me, I am your mother and I won't in any way, do anything to harm you. Your friends are waiting for you, and it won't be good to let them continue waiting. So just sign the documents quickly and talk with them". Lady Chen said trying to persuade her with a look of worry.

Chen Lihua finally raised her head to take a look at the woman who was currently whining.

"Mum can you keep calm and let me concentrate. This is the modern age, so I have to look at the documents that require my signature before signing on it. Even if these documents were given by you, my husband, or anyone else, I won't sign it till I know its contents. But if you don't want me to look at the documents before signing it, then I won't sign on them. Unless you have something to hide".

Lady Chen panicked, but for only a while before she calmed herself down.

"Am not hiding anything. Since you want to take a look at the documents before signing on them, then go ahead. But make sure you would be quick with it".

Before mumbling this part to herself. 'Well, it's not like you can do anything if you discover something. After all, you are already married to Liu Longwei. The least that could happen now is that you will be angry with me, and then frown your face and refuse to sign the documents which you will still sign after I've managed to pacify you after some days'.

Seeing the nonchalant look on her mother's face, Chen Lihua erased the doubts that rose earlier in her heart as she focused on signing the documents. But that didn't stop her from still looking at them.

When she got to the last document and was about going through it, Madam Liu came over and called out to her and Lady Chen.

After briefly exchanging greetings with Lady Chen, she turned to her and said while pointing towards a direction, "Lihua I want to introduce you to some of my friends. They've been asking for you".

"Ok mother, I will come with you immediately". Chen Lihua said before she quickly signed the last document without going through it, before she handed over to Lady Chen saying, "Mum you can have the documents, am done signing them".

Lady Chen smiled heartily as she took the documents from her while thanking her stars for saving her from trouble.

Out of her happiness, she even winked at Madam Liu who smiled and asked her, "Ju Ju what's wrong with you?"

"Am happy for our children and thank you for just now". Lady Chen said with a mysterious smile before walking away majestically.

Madam Liu stared at her back in confusion while wondering why and what she was being thanked for.

Recollecting herself, she took Chen Lihua's hand as she led her towards the direction she pointed at earlier.

Chen Lihua excused herself from her friends before following her mother-in-law walking hand in hand.
